First of all i think it’s a ??? that r kalman epstein wasn’t listed as being one who wears tcheiles.

second of all the mishna brura paskens against the ???”? that is brought as a raaya to r chaim’s yesod in hilchos birkas hamazon if one only knows the first bracha, should he say it.

Acc. to r chaim since it is a safek whether ????? ?????? ?? ?? ?? and even after he says that one bracha he still is not finished, one does not need to, but the ???”? paskens that one should cuz of safek deoraisa lchumra

I am so happy that a lively debate about the heiligeh mitzva is finally being discussed at length on yeshiva world. this topic was neglected for so long.

if one were to read the rambam’s hakdamah to moreh nevuchim he would come Across where the rambam says something like studying “maaseh merkava” is done by studying physics and “maaseh bereishis” is accomplished by syudying the briah therefore acc. to this perhaps one should in fact make a brachah…

    joseph

rybs, who is looked at (for the most part) as being the “shitah maker” for MO wrote that orthodox jews must excell

“in demonstrating to the world that the torah jew need not cower in a corner and gaze with sadness and resignation as life and the world pass him by.

The orthodox jew must demonstrate that he navigates with pride the floW and currents of the modern world and participates in a life that is racing ever more rapidly towards new horizons and great accomplishments in the domains of science and technology.

We must demonstrate that in all cultural, social and scientific situations a jew can study Torah and live as a faithful torah jew.

We must show the world that not only does halakha not restrain the intellectual and emotional capacities and worldly knowledge of the jew, on the contrary, it deepens them greatly.”

The first half is much easier than the second half

however a shtickle ameilus (even more in the ninth perek) does pay off alot.

    (i know from personal experience.)

blue shirt, thanks for sincere wish to help me, however, i was asking specifically in this case because there are special factors involved I.E. that yidden do have political control over yerushalayim and in effect there would no longer be the chiyuv to tear kriah

Just to post tha which i have seen r’nevenztal wrote to tear kriah

the chazon ish paskened you are yotze with one kriah on har habayis

r’ hershel shechter says you do not have to (the shiur which i heard he was not clear mentioning both tzdadim but l;choira favoring not to)

and i read b’shem r’ zevin (editor in chief of encylopedia talmudis) not to

Ithink r’ tzvi yehudah also paskened not to tear kriah on yerushalayim

it seems k”a lo pligi on har habayis you should.

what i dont understand is why i certainly never heard of someone tearing on arei yehuda.

I think it should also be noted that all the zilbermans in the yeshiva in the old city, plus r’ zalman nechemia goldberg (son in law of r’shlomo zalman) also wear this tcheiles.

Also, from that which i’ve heard the problem with the rizhiner is that the color doesn’t come from the squid, rather from the other chemicals put in the mixture.

And do you know anyone who would greet a king w/o a suit and tie?

Also when was the last time it was in style to greet a king with a sports jacket and some big outdated black hat thrown lazily on the back of your head???

Many chassidim believe that the rebbe is on an elevatad status and is considered to be their shoresh haneshoma. perhaps i can suggest that the chassidim would feel that is disrespectful if the non-rebbe were to be considered the rebbe if he really is not

One thing that greatly dissapointed me about the video was that it seemed to me that all they were asking for was money.

From the way YWEDITOR put it, I thought I was going to be seeing their “arguments” to their validity as jews and about their culture before this orginization got involved.

(from all of the ads on the sidebar, it seems someone was paid to post the link)
