Actually people (what’s that?) know me. A lot of them. And anytime anyone writes something negative about me… it hurts more. There are at least three who are posters here who know me. Others are lurkers. And then at times I get phoned regarding things that went on here.

To POST something causing someone, even anonymous, pain, anguish, distress, discomfort through words will be Onaas Davar. The fact that you don’t know him/her and he/she doesn’t know you – HaShem knows and keeps perfect score.
The question would be if it’s permitted to belittle or denigrate an anonymous poster OFF LINE, where it would never cause Onaas Davar.

As pointed out by the holy Chafetz Chaim, lashon hara is in the written word too. And just because the writer is anonymous, there is a real live person who posted, one is belittling that individual Yid / Yiddene. And regardless if it causes harm, belittling, disparaging a Jew is forbidden.

Wow! #Hash#Tag#, I’m really amazed, astounded!! I don’t think I’ve read about you, (not that I’m here ALL THE TIME), and certainly don’t know your personals, can’t perceive your feelings, emotions. But know this; some who lose their parents R’L can grow ever closer to the ever loving, kind Father in Heaven, a closer, more powerful connection not realized beforehand. And yes, though I’m not at all in your situation, I do know with a certainty that HaShem can and does provide support (and lots more). I’ve experienced it throughout my life.
Knowing that you have Someone directly looking after you should provide you with some feeling of solace, serenity.

FYI (sound like FBI), Secret Undercover Agent Yid, (like as if you didn’t know) a S/N is and equals “Screen Name”. Like mine, for instance, deep down I’m a froggie, a little one, so I chose that as my screen name here. You chose “secretagentyid”, obviously that’s your profession.
I’d go out on a limb (Froggies do that all the time) and say you were hired by the wonderful staff as YW headquarters to analyze, probe, do investigation as to who is the elusive “J”. It’s a case that has stumped even the most seasoned detectives and investigators (secretagentyids and secretagentnonyids) at the top most level of the Federal offices, for many a year.
So that’s how you came on the scene. Sorry, with all your detective knowledge notwithstanding, this history many have been kept from you, so you shouldn’t know how hard and complex the case is.

LG: I certainly did not mean you. You add much, though I’m not following posts and threads. To me you come across as a genuine, right-side-up teenaged (correct me if I’m wrong) bas (hope so) Yisroel. Not complicated, convoluted, complex personalities, ideas or ideals. You may have tangled (a teeny bit), BUT THAT’S PURELY NORMAL, you (as opposed to me) are human.
Another point I’d like to make is that sometimes one stranger will engage another in not so healthy convo… Again, I’m not sayin… just it’s better to be aware.. safe.. when someone acts a bit too…(stick in your own words).. it’s safest to stick to your gender and age group, though the Resident Bubbies and Rebitzens here have much to offer.
Seriously, people (yeah, even little me has a bit of seriousness).
When someone new comes on the scene, we can generally tell within one or two days more or less what to expect, what the character is all about, even without disclosing gender and age. Intelligence is something that comes across by means of communication, engaging in dialogue, having a “masa vmatan”. Some chose not to disclose all their personal, private matters, others let it out freely, but sechel is something that cannot be copied, imitated, impersonated. A person’s middos will always shine (or …) forth through the posts, a discerning or even cursory reader will pick up on those “notes”, vibes. In my short(!) time here I’ve met a lot of posters with exploratory refined middos and character, reading their posts always brings an enjoyment, a smile to my face. There are others here who have exceptionally bright minds, their posts are really brilliant, they really have something to “give”.
Others who come (stumbled )in here, lav davka, not necessarily know the ins and outs, they haven’t been here, know nothing about this place. So sometimes it takes some time and the newbie opens up to something unique, someone with whom to share or engage in conversation, with much to offer. Other times they have nothing really i#######t to say and they run dry and leave of their own accord. Part of our test here is to see how we deal with one… ???? ?? and ???? ????? ???? ??????. That’s the way, I’d suppose is to deal with them.
