NO. NO NO!!! We have a Mesorah that must be transmitted father to son, Rav to Talmid. Torah is NOT a free for all. ישרפו ואל ימסרו… and the little that comes to mind about the great tragedy NS darkness that descended when the Torah was formally ‘translated’. So no, I mean yes. There is a Torah World. And that’s where the the Torah will be disseminated, discussed, learned, toiled… לא עשה כן לכל גוי, not for the ‘neighbors’ or the like minded.

CA – Thank you SO MUCH for that very warm re-welcome. Unfortunately (!) I don’t lurk (live) here the way I used to, from time to time something in the masthead piques my curiosity. This was one I couldn’t pass.
There’s one thing of a newbie coming on inappropriately, not knowing the ins and out of this place, and has to initially be shown the conduct expected (yes, me included… oy, such memories)

When you’re a newcomer to a place, cool your engines, first observe your environs, get acquainted with your company, study how things work. If you’re going to mingle with others and engage them in conversation, know your host / group / crowd, consider the proper form, attitude, fashion, tone of engagement and communication.

If I’d be HaLeiVi, I’d say (or write) that the proper way to engage in limud HaTorah would be in Yeshiva, Shul, or in the home. Over a Gemarah or Rambam, or you own favorite sefer. Maybe the one you yourself wrote too. That is the Torah view. Since contemporary society does not implement it, we too do not. We do not seek to make others uncomfortable or pained. We discuss these aspects in Sevrah as any other Torah related concept, say as Kodshim, Tumah vTaharah, these are Divrei Elokim Chaim. Every word, every sevarah – precious pearls of Torah. But it’s not Nogea for today’s society.
But I’m not HaLeiVi (unfortunately), so I can’t say (write) it.

Let the mere fact the these ‘mentalists’ changed their battle cry from ‘global warming’ to ‘climate change’, let that speak volumes. Even THEY don’t preach warming anymore, cause it doesn’t make sense. What’s warming? In Brooklyn, (an unheard of hamlet, somewhere situated on planet Earth) the weather these past month were much, much lower than average. Global means the WHOLE globe as a whole, not just one specific area the ‘mentalists’ decide to choose from for their ‘statistics’ (and of course they’re going to look each time for a different place).
So now it’s climate change. Like beforehand there was no weather (Gosh! What were the conversations like those days.. there was NO CHANGE OF WEATHER)
HaShem is in charge; is, was and will be. He created a most perfect world. He’s at the steering wheel, come and enjoy your ride. No additional attempt at ‘assistance’ is required nor warranted.
If you have an urge to improve in His world, why don’t you make it a more moral, decent place. There’s definitely a mass global moral decay, eating away at society at an alarming frightening rate. Morals and standards of yesteryear, to any society, are being ripped away in the name of progression… a rapid progression to animalism. The race to become an animal..

Explain to this individual that ANY task related to the Torah is an honor. In times of old, certain communitied would sell the honor of “Hoshata”, extending or handing over. His sole kibbud was that of handing over the various vestments of the Torah to the Golel. And it was considered an honor, something worth enough to be sold. The Torah is מכבד את מכבדיה, as the piut so says, so consider and Kibbud related to the Torah as truly an Honor.

I’ve not been following the backlash of the story, just heard clips of this “Rabbi”‘s speach. What struck or stuck me is the he for heaven sake’s is a proclaimed “Rabbi”. And the world looks at him as such. He should know better. Give Heaven some due respect. Just some. If it had occurred in a bais avodah zara, you bet your boots they’d been praising osa ha’ish over and over. You’d hear their ministers and “mispalelim” over and over, in all their broadcasts and interviews, mention oso ha’ish. Because that’s what a galach does. Shouldn’t even a reform Jew who professes to be called “Jew” know and love HaShem just a tiny teeny bit enough to mention His Name?! It’s not YW, any Jew should be appalled at this chillul HaShem. Baruch HaShem someone in YW chose to stick up for HaShem’s honor.

That is the question of the day, they claim it was paid, she claims it wasn’t who do you return the Kesuba to? Because if you return it to her, she’ll use it to get her money (perhaps a second time). The heirs (or the husband the case of Gerusha) have no use for it other than to prevent the woman from getting hold of it.
In the case where he passed away (נתארמלה), it’s referring to the heirs who are paying the Kesuba (יורשי הבעל).
