We already settled into what we’re going to learn אי”ה. I’d appreciate other tips, advice, ideas. Like how to go about it, how to keep it up, sound exciting, accomplish something…

    Thanks again

I know (with my Ruach HaKodesh) someone who always uses the Holocaust to “prove” that Chachamim never had, nor will have Ruach HaKodesh, Taas Torah and etc.

And he’s wrong every single time (he doesn’t have Ruach HaKodesh!)

They use the mantra (they were indoctrinated, force-fed, since youth) “look at this great Rabbi, why didn’t he save his Kehilla?” And they attempt, with that and other ploys, over and over again, to try to lessen our adherence to Chachmei, Gedolei Yisroel. They try time and again to wean us from our עיני העדה…

I believe I once answered those claims (many years and many screen names ago!) I’ll try now – from memory:
    1) A Tzadikkk’s Ruach HaKodesh comes from “Kodesh” – HaShem (Oh really?!) So although HaShem generally stands by and guides his closest, HaShem, in His infinite intelligence, for reasons we as mortals cannot fathom, decides at times to withhold his assistance.

    2) That era was an era unparallel in Jewish history, actually in all of world history. A time of Heavenly “Anger” (ריתחא). A great, painful הסתר פנים (again – for reasons known only to HaShem) where HaShem so to speak turned His face away from His nation. And we’ve heard from our Greats – they felt their divine assistance vanished. ואבדה חכמת חכמיו ובינת נבניו תסתתר, a great a fearful prophesy, was said regarding this terrible era. So NATURALLY some Gedolim lost their powers. Others were extended unquestionable Ruach HaKodesh EVEN in that horrible period.

    3) Certain Gedolim understood all too well, and decided it was better to perish in this world and not in the next. It was Nebach done all through our long and bitter Galus. We mention a few on Tisha Ba’av, where a father would take his children…

Syag: You put it down beautifully!

and DY: I’m almost sure the Gemarrah there is referring to actual prophesy, Nevuah, certainly a higher category than Ruach HaKodesh. So yes, they were divinely inspired to discern that prophesy departed with the passing of those three Neviim.

    and LB:

Obviously that “top Rabbi” doesn’t have Ruach HaKodesh… So how is he to be believed regarding others?!? Isn’t that ludicrous?!

Along the same lines: those who claim there is no Daas Torah, obviously did not have Daas Torah, isn’t it ludicrous for them to make a statement regarding Daas Torah?!?

Hello and WB. I don’t post there that often (as I should be), I remember that one, Rebbitzen. I think it was because of something I complained about… the name didn’t sound too “eidel”. I’m sorry if I read it wrongly, or if I hurt anyone’s feelings in the process. RY, were you posting way back then? I don’t seem to recall..

    Winnie –
First of all I don’t think you need a printer to post here in the CR. So even if you didn’t’ have a printer, you still could have been posting away…

And now, second point… we were doing all that research… which is the best printer… I takes a long time to decide… There are thousands of models to look at, investigate, probe, ponder… I don’t think seven months is enough,,,,

..back to work… model xxppxxjjxx443366, paper intake unit…

Like they taught me in my five hour course:

People’s inner self, their REAL character, middos come out when one is at the wheel. That’s the place where he/she is totally surrounded by strangers, is more or less anonymous / hidden behind the windows of the car. That’s where the real – true inner self shines or …

It’s too dangerous down here? No – I don’t think so… Try it out. You may actually even enjoy it (living here in the planet “Earth”)

Maybe your question to us esteemed members of the CR was: Could or may one become a pilot in face of some dangers involved in flying. And I’ll answer that too. Iv’e tried that too. No, not dangerous at all – if you know what you’re doing and follow proper procedures…

In my humbleness, I think it makes a difference if the owner just wants the offending vehicle towed away, or to be fined. Gemarah (I think) and Halachah (I suppose too) permits to remove (at violator’s expense) something worgfully blocking you.

So I don’t know who’s who and what’s what. Are you making your own Sukah, meals, festivities? Is there a reason your missing her just now? (If you’re around over “here”, why don’t you drop in to our Succah? Frogette and little me would enjoy guest for the Holidays…) Can’t make you miss your mom any less, but we could probably fill you up with enough positive, conducive, uplifting, happy feelings/ moods / thoughts/ energy to counter other negative ones…

I’ll repost for the sake of someone with a drop of honesty and sechel hayashar….

I wrote on this exact topic years ago, when this ‘thing’ started out, r”l.

So here we have people beseeching, begging, praying for their very dear life, they know their life is in the balance, and on the other side these guys are blithely dancing away… Sure – swaying (swigging.. uch) to the tune of השבינו… yeah. That’s for sure “Return us”… You take a peek at those clippings and you get such a feeling of nausea.. “Ribono Shel Olam, look at our tzaros”, one step in, “we have sinned much”, one step out. “Avos Haolam, our holy forefathers”, one pace forward, “please intercede on our behalf”, two paces back… FEH.

How many people passed away R””L this year, how would they have liked to grab ANY opportunity to push in ONE MORE earnest Tefillah in time….

The fish of yesteryear had more sechel…. Anyone with a drop of sense (sold out) knows that these are solemn days, days of awe, meant for a specific purpose. You guessed right, probably not meant for dancing away the night merrily .. Hardly the main activity fitting for ימים נוראים.

If you must, if you can’t control yourself, go into the privacy of a bathroom and sing your lungs out “אשמנו”, “כי עליך הורגנו”, “ולנו בושת הפנים”… No, I’m not judging you, if you don’t know any better, but kindly leave US out of your urges… no need to publicize it. No need to broadcast your contempt of Heavenly Court. כי הוא נורא ואיום is to be taken at literal sense, whichever direction you read.

How would you think the Navi Yirmiyahu would react knowing that his words השיבנו written with such sorrow, such feeling, such holiness, has turned into the songbooks of “Slichos Concerts” (Vivace tempo). We all know what happens when words of Torah are taken out and made into songs… how much more for this – AND FOR WHAT ITS BEING USED FOR!

To the rest of us, take a cursory glance at the words, let it fill you with the feelings they were meant to convey, to occupy one’s conscious with. Let the words envelope us with the correct sense of dread and awe of the Ribono Shel Olam, His Yom HaDin. Let us cherish these feelings… let us carry over the feelings of these minutes of true Yirah, Teshuva, Ahavha over into our new year.

Let us ALL be gebenched with a Kseiva Vchasima Tova – each and every one of us. May HaShem shower his blessings on us, may he shine His countenance upon us… bless us with very LIFE. A fulfilling, productive life, doing Ratzon HaShem with much health, nachas, wealth. AND TRUE HAPPINESS!!!
