Sorry Baruch Hashem I’m not deaf, although I know people who are. How do mute people make Brochos and things?

So are you saying that if I was going to get internet service but can pick up my neighbor’s network, that would be stealing from the company? Is that like burning a CD from your neighbor and not buying it?

The girls who are dancing it, either don’t see that it’s wrong, or didn’t think so for which all these idea’s would work. The other type of girls would know that it’s wrong but don’t care, so these things probably won’t work.

No, it’s just curious. Nothing about communicating with deaf people. But if someone was deaf, could they?

There’s a very good book called Halachiclly Speaking, it’s hard to find Halachos for everyday living. It’s like those things you hear about but aren’t sure if they’re true.

What’s the difference between the two types of lightning? You don’t make a Brocho during a lightning storm on lightning?

If someone wants to wear a hat and jacket in 90+ degree weather, what do you care? There is nothing wrong not wearing it, you don’t and they do, so what? If you meet someone you know wearing a hat and jacket, it’s okay, maybe they’re used to it. I don’t know how hot a hat and jacket are, but it seems similar that if a non-Jew asks a frum girl what’s it like to only wear skirts, and cover their elbows and knees in 90+ degree weather, it’s like I don’t know. It’s normal, what’s it like not to?

an open book – I’m not sure but it just seems that way. Why do you think otherwise?

just me – I’m not sure if it was Achar. I don’t remember who, it was someone’s Rebbi, but it’s said because of “Tzemer Yevani”, that it never left his lips and he was always reading Greek literature.

Whoever said money can’t buy happiness doesn’t know where to shop. Just think even after everything that you have to pay the left over money (a couple of millions) is sure more then you have left over lying around now, so why not splurge? I was thinking of getting a Rolls Royce and buying a house in Israel.

R’ Noach Weinberg was really an introvert, but he saw a need in Klal Yisroel and therefore changed his nature. He also started 8 yeshivos before Aish HaTorah. When he went to get a brocho from his Rav, I think it was Rav Hutner, the Rav gave him three pieces of advice. He followed the first two, but only suceeded when he listened to the third which wasn’t to take on partners.

Music affects the soul. So listening to Beethoven is probably better then listening to Matisyahu. I think Achar or someone in the Gemara that became an apikorus, was because he always was singing Greek songs. If he was such a big talmud chacham and music affected him so much then Kal V’chomer us.

But do the words make a difference? Like if it’s a Pasuk that is being sung to the tune of a Beetles song, is it better to listen to the original or the Jewish version?

Well don’t you have to give half of it to taxes? Then you have to give Maaser. So afterwards you put a ton in the bank and then go shopping with your friends and buy whatever you feel like.

    Irena Sendler

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the WarsawGhetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ‘ ulterior motive ‘ … She KNEW what the Nazi’s plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids.) She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi ‘ s broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most of course had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize … She was not selected.

    * Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

LET’S SEND THIS ONE AROUND THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

GOD BLESS HER May she rest in Peace.

I have a “friend” that lies and brags about the lies and everything else. It is really bad to the extent that when we are all sitting aroud talking and she joins soem friends just leave because they can’t take the lying. The others turn her off. We all feel bad for her, her parents treat her like garbage and she is really a nice girl. How do we get her to stop lying without telling her outright?

It might help (for Shmoneh Esrai) to picture standing in front of a King and that you can’t get anything without his permission. I also have more Kavaneh on the Bakashas HaYachid since it’s more personal. Think of the meaning of the words and apply them to yourself.

thanks anonymisss, it’s not really like that. My parents aren’t really sure if we’re moving. We would move to Ramat Beit Shemesh, and be living near family. My sister is the one who’s raising all the issues. We would come back every summer and I don’t have that much school years left.

When I think of moving, I don’t think of it in the permanent sense.

Say you’ll give money to Tzedakah every time you do it. After a while you wont want to give away money, so you’ll hopefully stop. I don’t know if this works for this but if you say you’ll learn two Halachos of Shmiras Haloshon and you can davan for whatever you want. The Chofetz Chaim goes and pleads on your behalf in front of Hashem. I’m not one who’s really into these type of things, they never work, but I did it once and looked for something and I found it. My sister lost something really important, she thought someone stole it, and I told her to do it and she found it. It won’t hurt to try.
