i love iced roses, ballet slippers and angels food. and my new color i started to love is called delicious it’s number 365 (i only know that because of the days of the year…) it’s a light purple but it looks also pink depending on the lighting i really like it!!

the problem is that my polish never stays on for more than a few days it’s so annoying!!!

very good point… i know get confused when someone davens out loud because that might not be what i am up to!

i want to add that one’s voice should not be heard when others are davening especially in a “chit chatty way” meaning talking during tefila!!!

tomim tihye- your comment is not only true chesed but probably the hardest job of all and i admire all the mothers who were not only able to “survive” 3 days in the house with their stir crazy children… but to remain… as you said “a cheerful, loving mother” it’s really amazing so thanks for all your hard work all you mothers out there!

i think the way all the orginizations were working was amazing!! Hatzolah getting to people so quickly…. (it made such a kiddush Hashem… i heard one of my goyish neighbors complimenting their quick response….) Chaverim helping Hatzolah members dig their cars out…. all these orginizations are amazing all year around but the way they stepped up to the plate during this storm is UNBELIEVABLE!!! i look at them and i feel proud to be part of their nation!

you can always do puppets from brown paper bags or old socks! thats what i remember from childhood…..

if it’s a girl you can make a butterfly out of paper plates… staples them together and let her color it and put pipecleaners for the antenas. i guess you could do a robot the same way for a boy…..

    good luck!

deiyezooger- 100% u can’t force someone to marry someone i just didn’t liike the way you put it but now that u explained it i understand.

we all just have to keep in mind that what is attractive to one person might be repulsive to another and vise versa and that doesnt mean one is better than the other. like my friend put. “there is a cover that fits every pot, but they fit only one” meaning everyone has someone they will be stunning and perfect for (no matter their size) and that’s all that matters right?

usually the heavy girls that start heavy only get heavier, and the skinny girls that got heavy after their wedding try at least to loose it they dont want to be heavy.”

and heavy girls don’t try to loose it????? they don’t care?? only skinny girls care and try… that is the most insensitive thing i have heard in a long time. it may be true but you said it in a very wrong way i’m sorry. u probably meant something else but the way it sounds really isn’t nice

iyhbyu- ur right i’m sorry. i must not have understood ur original post, but when you put it that way u r rightand i am wrong for being harsh. i apologize and ask for forgiveness. i do wonder why you chose to write “It was just the weight.” it kinda sends mixed messages to me but u are right and like i said i apologize!

but i also agree with the fact that most women do not stay the size they were when they got married. but i hear ur point and respect it.. to each his own right?!?

i hope that things go really smoothly for you from now on and u should see mazel and brocha through ur life

as a girl who is not a size 2,4, 6, 8 or even 10 i am happy for the girl that u said no to. i don’t mean this in a negative way at all i am sure ur a terrific person and iyh the right one should come quickly… but come on… u said no because of her size?!?!?! imagine how she must feel and i could imagine it’s not good…. i’m happy for her because she probably feels bad about herself as it is and imagine how she would feel having to live up to society’s view of beauty not to mention yours! and no that does not make u shallow it makes you silly i’m sorry

i decided that it was my choice to pay the money so i shouldn’t complain. as gavra mentioned… it’s a free market ruled by supply and demand. i guess it just bothers me in general how some shadchanim “fall off the planet” after meeting you and you never hear from them again, and my frustration probably has more to do with that and less to do with the fee. so i apologize if i was wrong.

i’m not talking about after the shidduch is made… i want to know BEFORE anything is even red if it is RIGHT that a shadchan charges to MEET someone and then does nothing… the girl never hears from then again. ofcourse after making a shidduch you give them whatever they ask because they supplied you with a life parter and that is a major deal. the experiences i’ve had with “profeesional” (and there is a reason i put it in quotes…) shadchanim made me feel very negetively toward them… and i’m not an older sinlge i am considered to be young…. asking for money to be met with makes me (and other like me..) feel like another statistic.. another case.., and not like a person… i understand that there are probably a ton of Shadchanim that are fabulous but in my experience i feel really badly from them. and it’s such a shame because making shidduchim is really a huge mitzva and a chesed and not a business.

sorry for ranting but it’s a touchy subject lol 😉

i totally and completely agree with you!!! the system is broken!! i for one do not contact a shadchan at all hours because i know they are a mother/wife/daughter/sister and in general a person who deserves privacy and respect…. but all i ask is that the girls who feel bad enough already to be treated like a person too and in my experience with shadchanim i can tell you that that is not the case…. i once went to a shadchan who literally gave me a lookdown before even talking to me… i saw her head and eyes going over my body, hair, eyes etc…. it was humiliating… and for the record i never went out with someone set up by a shadchan i went to…. i understand that they might be trying but all i want is to feel like a person not a piece of land that is being sold… and asking for money does just that…. the only reason i did it is because this shadchan came highly reccomended and i thought it would be different but it has been the same… but i DO agree with everything you said!!

My question is- when did making shidduchim become a BUSINESS??? As far as I know it is a Chesed and a Mitzva!! Not only did not one date come from this but this shadchan did not even contact me about the goings on… a nice short email that she did not forget about me would’ve been nice…. This whole situation makes me feel like another statistic, not an actual person….

And since when does the shadchan who does make an actual shidduch get to request how much we give? What if someone can’t afford $10000??

by my work, someone i work with shops ALL day (and talks on the phone etc) and i end up doing their work, and when i finish i like to browse the stores too. until one day someone made a comment to me saying “all you do at work is shop all day” and they were not joking…. i said “i dont _______ does i only do after i finish both our work” they thought i was kidding….. i was really offended and since then i dont even LOOK at anything! i still have not forgiven that person.

    funny simcha!!

thats an interesting theory abt panic attacks tralala now that i think about it it makes perfect sense i always feel like that when i’m nervous (i always feel low before a date…. lol) still doesnt answer my question about the blood though becaus emy blood ACTUALLY did go low not just the feelings… i wanna know if you think it was because of the donating blood (which would make sense because if theyre taking blood then the sugar level is going down…) or if it wouldve gone low in any case… just so i know if i should try again next time or not…

tralala- it is my most annoying part of diabetes when i have unexplained and uncontrolable highs! i use a temp basal on my pump and try to stay away from carbs and try to do some exercise like allsgr8 suggested and eventually it goes down (too down sometimes like you said….) good luck!!! hope you feel good!!

mi2- you can take the insulin out?? thats cool i never thought of doing that! thanks!! i hope my info on the omnipod helped you… i really like it! what other ones are you looking into?

    allsgr8- interesting!! thanks!

mi2- i have been on it for about 2 years now…. the pro of it i would say is that it’s wireless and very discreet…. no one sees it even after i point iyt outt to them. its painless to insert and easy to learn. and it has some cool features like a food database, extended bolusing etc.

the cons are that it has ALOT of occlusions (when the tube for some reson gets an air bubble or something that causes the pod to diactivate) and sometimes you can waste a big amount of insulin… i once had to change it 5 times in one day thats 1000 units and the company no longer replaces the pods that have an occlusion… i also dont like that the only alarms are loud beeps and there is no vibrate mode but thats just me… i like it to be quiet….

overall i am happy with it and it helped me get my numbers in good control! are you thinking about getting it?

oh i should try this prebolusing sounds really helpful thanks!!

allsgr8- i dont have that problem because of the pump… are you missing an injection you usually give in the morning? cuz ur system is used to having the insulin…. but in my opinion… sleeping late is TOTALLY worth the high numbers!! it’s funny that you don’t get affected by sickness…. the tinest thing makes it nuts by me! i guess it affects us all differently!!

yes my pump does calculate active insulin but i tend to panic when i see my numbers going up…. i don’t like that lol!

now i have a massive cold so my numbers are whacko anyways so thats not making me happy…..
