    @WIY: No one said that charities don’t need the money. What I’m saying is that the whole point of ‘Small Business Saturday’ is to boost the economy and not to fund raise….

    @golden mom: FYI- I went to a store last year on Saturday night and got charged on Sunday morning. Amex saw that I was’t the only one with this problem and reimbursed me and everyone else. So please tell your friends and family either to check their statements or to call Amex and get back their money $$$$$$$$$$$$

    Nice thread. There are a couple of problems with this task. One problem is that some Chassidis’ just started out of the blue. The first Tosher Rebbe (my Great-Great-Great Grandfather) was born a non-Chassid and his town asked him to become a Rebbe/Ruv.

    I know someone who woke up in middle of the night and had a dairy ice cream…….the problem was he ate meat for dinner and it wasn’t 6 hours yet…..he doesn’t remember eating it but his wife found the wrapper in the trash…..Lol !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Of course the Maharal didn’t say Carbon Dating, he wrote counting the age of the objects. However, in 2012, ‘SMART’ people call it Carbon Dating……

    The Maharal writes in Parshas Beraishis or Noach that with the temperature of the water heat cooking the bones and earth, it throws off the the calculation of the carbon dating of fossils.

    147- My concern is that people don’t know the halacha & I will daven where I want to.

    Showjoe- Ask 147 & it says it in the Machzor.

    Litvish KJ- If they would walk faster we wouldn’t have this problem & mine are not more important its just that I am knowledable in the halacha.

    Blueprints- You do need to & I don’t bump or push.

    Medium Thinker- Like I said before, we wouldn’t have the problem if they were walking faster. A lack of derech eretz isn’t the solution to every problem.

    R’ Shmuel had a heart attack on shabbos and walked to Maomonidies , a good 1 to 2 hour walk.

    I learned in South Fallsburg years ago, and R’ Elya came for shabbos bc his it was his grandchilds simcha. Anyways, he stayed up the whole Friday night learning and giving chizuk to the bochrim. It was truly amazing. In both stories, they were not young men.

    My Mother-in-law told me sarcastically, that she doesn’t think my kids are my kids because I discipline them in “Bobby’s house” where it should be a relaxed setting…..but when they do trouble she sends me to do the dirty work and get them to stop.

    A) If I am able to have control, then there it won’t be necessary to get them to stop making trouble.

    B) I think Bobby should mind her own business. They are my kids and I discipline when I see fit.

    The Bnos Tzlafchad married their first cousins. Im not sure what I am proving but this is a fact.

    hakohen53- I don’t put my whole thing into the the foil and paper towel but just the hadassim and aravos bc i find it to get moldy, wet, discolored, and disgusting. Be careful when taking the hadasim and aravos from the holder that the leaves dont rip and get pulled off.

    PRIVATE LOTS

    When a parking lot is reserved for customers and you’re not exclusively dealing with the proprietor’s business, it’s unlawful to park there, even for only a few minutes. You can be towed, and you’ll have to pay for the tow if you can’t produce a receipt from the business from the period when you used its lot.

    Shopping613- You missed the point, some people produced a receipt, but still had to pay.

    My grandfather that just passed away before Rosh HaShanah once bought me maftir on Yom Kippur. It ment so much to me. I was 14 at the time, and yes both my parents are alive.

    BTW, I used a regular calculator and got 14. However, if you would use a scientific calculator, then I believe the answer will be 4.

    Using PEMDAS the answer is 4…..here is how: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 – 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 x 0 =

    You would first do 1 x 0= and get 0.

    Then you add the 1’s till the minus sign (1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1) which is equal to 10.

    Then you add what ever is left after the minus sign and get 6 (1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1).

    Then you add the 0 to the 6 and you get 6.

    Then you subtract 10 – 6=4……simple math !!!!!!
