A wonderful president, who stopped at nothing to get things done.

    Gadolhadorah –

    1. The Torah is not a democracy. If R’ Shmuel Kamenetzky says something, us common folk have no say to the contrary. That I need to spell this out is sad commentary.
    2. Charliehall said “Any Jew who prays for Trump’s re-election has rejected everything the Torah teaches”. That was not a political choice, but a hashkafic statement.

    Charliehall,

“Any Jew who prays for Trump’s re-election has rejected everything the Torah teaches.”

Harav Shmuel Kamenetzky begs to differ.

Reb Eliezer – so now we’re second-guessing our Gedolim?

n0mesorah, again your tactics. Everyone here will agree with me that Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky qualifies, and Zundel Stevie doesn’t.

And your theoretical question holds no water – “if it was BIDEN 10 TRUMP 0, would you vote for Biden?” I will be voting for Trump for the very same reason that such a scenario will never exist.
what if the gedolim endorsed Al Sharpton? They won’t.

jackk, no, this is not a contest. It’s just a reminder to all those here continually bashing the President and his supporters, that Trump was endorsed by a Gadol, whereas Biden was not.

n0mesorah, it’s no secret that you created Zundel Stevie Anderson (note to moderators: I believe there’s a rule you can’t have more than one user) and his fictitious Rav.

A gadol has to be recognized by a significant part of Klal Yisroel as such.

Typical loser’s behavior – if you can’t win ’em, confuse ’em.

    Again: Trump – 1, Biden – 0

n0mesorah, read my question. Name a “Gadol”. Zundel Stevie Anderson does not qualify.

So to recap, after some hedging and naming gedolim that would’ve/could’ve/should’ve endorsed Biden, has there not been a single gadol that has actually come out and endorsed Biden?

    So is it Trump – 1 Biden – 0?

I will take this opportunity to remind certain posters that Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky came out in support of Trump. It “will really blow your mind” that people DON’T support him.

“Chabad will be vindicated when Moshiach comes, regardless of who it is.”

I think you define vindicate a bit differently than I meant it.

Vindicate: show or prove to be right, reasonable, or justified.

So how will Chabad be vindicated, if it turns out to be, say, R’ Chaim Kanievsky?

Regarding Chabad and Moshiach, we all hope for Moshiach every day, as one of the Rambam’s 13 Core Beliefs. The only way Chabad would be ‘vindicated’, so to speak, is if Moshiach turns out to be the Lubavitcher Rebbe. (To quote at least one Gadol, let it be the Lubavitcher Rebbe, as long as he comes already…)

Regarding the use of gematrios to prove a point, see the sefer Degel Machnei Efraim (grandson of the Besh”t) Parshas Chukas, on the possuk Al Kein Yomru Hamoshlim. You can use this link: https://hebrewbooks.org/pdfpager.aspx?req=3723&st=&pgnum=155&hilite=.

    Some answers –

    6. Founder Tzaddik/Rebbe of dynasty and approximately which year –

R’ Yakov Kopel Chusid (d. 1787) of Kolomyia, talmid of Baal Shem Tov, is considered the founder of the Vizhnitz (and Kosov) dynasty.

    7. Original location – city and country –

Kolomyia or Kolomyya, formerly known as Kolomea, is a city located on the Prut River in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine

    9. How is Tefillah conducted (with examples) –

Very strong emphasis on nusach, with their own siddur “Posei’ach She’arim”. Many ‘t’nuos’, such as a special t’nuah before the bracha of Sfiras Ha’omer.

    12. Major contribution to Judaism – I would say their warmth to mitzvos, especially Shabbos. The Yerushalmi-based chassidus of Toldos Avrum Yitzchok, with offshoots and adherents globally, is based off the Vizhnitz model.

    13. Present Rebbe/Tzaddik and location – city and country –

Many. Two in Bnei Brak (Israel), R’ Yisroel Hager and his brother R’ Mendel; One in Monsey, NY, R’ Yisroel Hager (a first cousin) and his many brothers in Bet Shemesh (Israel), London (UK), Montreal (Canada), Williamsburg (NY), Kiamesha Lake (NY), etc.
