Naftush -“There’s no need to set up a victimization contest between those countries and Europe.”

It’s Not a contest -whether you admit it or Not, Jews were much worse in Xitian countries then they were in Muslim countries.

Stop with the Zionist propaganda that all Muslims are bad. No Jews ever thought all Xitians are bad because most Jews from Europe ran to America before and after WWII.

“And Jews were not treated “fine” in EI under the Turks.”

More Zionist propaganda/lies. Do you have any proof to your statement? I had relatives living during that time and it was pretty good. Let me ask you something -how many Jews were killed in Palestine during the Ottoman empire? Now, how many Jews were killed in Israel because of Zionism imperialism?

Ya’see the problem with the Zionists who post here and probably all Zionists is that you don’t even pay attention to what the other side is saying because you are so attached to the Zionist propaganda. All the points about Zionism has been brought up in the CR time & time again, but you Zionists keep arguing the same points over and over again. I previously posted historical facts about the Mufti – that his hatred to Jews started because he found out about the Zionist ambitions to take over Palestine.

periwinkle -“And that, Health, is the problem with blogs. The casual informality, the use of first names when you don’t know someone at all, no rules, not knowing what is the proper behavior and what is a chumrah. On a blog, everything goes! Including respect.”

You missed my point. My point was there is no Inyan to talk in third person regarding Rosh Hayeshivos in any other venue than directly towards him. And even this is a Chumra, not Halacha.

So instead of grasping my point -you belittled blogs. Whether it’s a blog, newspaper, magazine or whatever, there is no reason to use the third person. Taking a respectful Chumra and applying wherever you feel like and then putting down those who see no reason to apply the Chumra everywhere is why some people should stay away from Chumras. It leads to Gaiva and Sinas Chinum.

Speaking in third person to a Rosh Hayeshiva is respectful. Definitely don’t have to do it refering to him on a blog. And even directly if one doesn’t do it -it’s Not Chutzpa. This is in the Geder of L’fney Meshuras Hadin. What tends to happen in our generation (and I see this all the time) is when we confuse Chumras with Dinim -we equate the two and sometimes become lax in the actual Dinim.

    Just a thought.”

Here is another thought: I was thinking about trials (“trials” as in court cases for draft evading) ever since this new Gov. got into power with Lapid in and the Charedim out. I thought how will the Charedim get out of being drafted and not going to jail? But now I’m begining to see the probable light at the end of the tunnel. With the new ongoing peace talks -the present Gov. will collapse. There probably will be elections and whomever the next Gov. is – the Charedim will be part of it. They will join either the right or the left, with the stipulation of No Frum draft and reinstatement of money to Yeshivos. If they join the right then Israel won’t have to go back to the ’67 borders. If they join the left then Israel will go back to the ’67 borders.

Simple answer. The two of them want to be identified as minorities. Why? Because ever since the US embarked on Affirmative Action – it’s much better to be a minority as far as having rights in this country goes. But you see from this story that African Americans are considered a more important class than Hispanics. No cases of self-defense are prosecuted by State Attorneys and looked into by the Feds for civil rights violations.

If you want a more Jewish perspective read R’ Berel Wein. You would not be making comments like this if you had. There are other wonderful frum Jewish historians who can enlighten you – you seem to have fallen in to the trap of believing things because you want them to be true.”

Actually, I don’t want to be enlightened like you. The reason so many American Jews are Zionists, because esp. in the MO schools, they pushed the Zionist propaganda.

“Your knowledge (or lack there of) of Turkish politics is similarly amusing.”

Your lack of Zionist history and their utter failure to Torah Jews is simply very sad!

“Also how is the fogel story (hy”d) zionist propoganda? They do have a different culture which places a very different valuation on human life. Learn a bit about the history of Islam and how it developed and you might be singing a very different tune.”

I actually know the history of Islam. And where did I mention anything about the Fogels? You are a classic Zionist – only pointing to the evils of the arabs. Did you ever think what caused this hatred to Jews? Inspite of the lies that they always were like this -they weren’t. The Zionists caused this hate by creating the State of Israel.

jewishfeminist02 -“You are being simplistic. Calling something “propaganda” just because you don’t like it does not make it untrue.”

I’m calling it propaganda, not because I don’t like it, but because they are lies!

“The Palestinian leadership IS evil and our deciding not to “start up with them”, whatever that means, has not, does not, and will not make a difference. Lots of Jews made aliyah to Palestine before it was Israel and this angered the Arabs. Even if you say we should not have a political state, are you really also saying we should give up our right to live in our own land?”

You could live there under moderate Muslim rule. Also, when Jews made Aliya during the Ottoman empire this didn’t anger any arabs. By repeating the Zionist lies doesn’t make it any more true than the first time around.

“Furthermore, imagine the carnage, both political and physical, that would result if we tried to “give Israel to Turkey”. Utter nonsense.”

Because you and other Zionists decided this -doesn’t make it True! I know my posts undermine any legitimacy to the Zionist State and this is a hard truth to swallow, esp. when so many Jews like yourself, have swallowed the Zionist propaganda (Lies) your whole life.

They have no compunctions about slitting a Jewish baby’s throat. They are capable of so much evil, it is sickening.”

This is Not the consensus of most med practitioners. Your line is only correct if there is no ECM (rash). If there is a rash then you give (preferably) Doxy for 14-21 days.

You totally didn’t understand my post. Let me explain. I agree -land for peace -doesn’t work. They want to drive us into the sea. So what do I believe? I believe you should give them the whole land -the Goyim should rule the whole land. At this point they will stop their animosity towards Jews. They will let the Jews live peacefully under their rule. Of course, the Zionists scream this is Not possible, but yet it did happen in EY during Ottoman rule. Of course there will have to be international monitors like the UN, US and others to make sure no revenge is taken and they treat us without discrimination. First of all, Sharpton has been to the White House at least twice.

Second of all, e/o in the News says it and here is an example:

“(CNN) — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to speak at an annual convention of the Rev. Al Sharpton’s group, in which Trayvon Martin was a key issue, has been widely panned as a political ploy.

But maybe, just maybe, it’s also evidence that the tamer version of the civil rights leader that we’ve seen in recent years — the syndicated radio host, the MSNBC personality, the White House adviser — is enjoying broader legitimacy these days.
