Reb EliezerParticipant
The above mashel is on mimaakim korosicha Hashem, Hashem I call you from the depths.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe can demonstrate wearing a hat with a mashel from the Dubner Magid. A king took in a young man and provided for him all his needs. The king had a favorite robe that he enjoyed wearing. Once they look around and both the young man and robe are missing. They find him hiding in a pit wearing the king’s favorite robe.
He says, I am hiding because after all the king has done for me, I am ashamed to show my face stealing the king’s robe. We want to cover our face being ashamed infront of Hashem for denying His good provided to us by stealing it from Him using it for the wrong purpose. This is the MB above O’CH 8,4 covering our face with a talis or a hat.Reb EliezerParticipantHashem kavayochel wears a hat as we say chovash kova yeshuah berosho. Also misatef HKBH keshliach tzibur.
The Shaar Ephraim says to wear a hat when being olah laTorah.Reb EliezerParticipantSee MB O’CH 8,4 and 91,12.
Reb EliezerParticipantSee also Baer Hetev O’CH 183,11 when it comes to benching.
Reb EliezerParticipantGoogle Skokie, Illinois. It is only freedom of speech when it does not hurt the president, but publishing the niece
Mary’s book is not.Reb EliezerParticipantabukspan, see Rashi on Shir Hashirim 4,5 toamei zevia, how we can read the ten commandments across as mizeh umizeh hem kesuvim, so killing is removing the tzelem ekokim.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Dubner Magid explains the idea of maaser. There was a complaint that people should not be provided more than necessary for survival. So if a person gives the survival amount for maaser, he will be blessed by ten times the amount otherwise he is only provided that amount.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt is qouted in the Bnei Yisoschor that the 13 midos of Hashem go with the 13 midos of darush such that a kal vechomer goes with E’l. What is this kal vechomer? When we take out a Sefer Torah by mistake, we must roll it to the right place and NOT return it in order not to pogam (ashame) it, so how we must watch not to ashame a fellow Jew, who has a neshama, a chelek alokai mimaal.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Chasam Sofer shows us the greatness of the neshama. The mishkan is the highest level of keshusha but its building does not push shabbos aside. However, the human being because of his neshama, to save him/her, does push shabbos aside.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a wonderous Ohr Hachaim Hakadash on Parshas Ki Siso quoted by the Mincha Chinuch (39,39) on veshomru that you can only save someone on shabbos, if laasos es hashabos, he can observe another shabbos. What about a chayei shaah? The minchas chinuch explains that he only says this when we know that shabbos is pushed aside to save a jew from this pasuk but if we go after Shmuel that this is derived fron vechai bohem velo sheyomus bohem that includes even a chayei shaah.
Reb EliezerParticipantTrump pushed states to open early and now schools.
Reb EliezerParticipant1, When you restrict legal immigration without any exceptions, they will come illegaly.
Reb EliezerParticipantIf we follow not doing anything for coronavirus, we end up like Sweden. The federal government is suppose to take leadership to have uniforn laws for all states otherwise one state infects another which was recommended by the health authorities. The US is worse than anywhere in the world except Sweden.
Reb EliezerParticipantTrump has pre-conceived notions and doesn’t want to follow tbe advice of anybody with whom he disagrees.
Reb EliezerParticipantSyag, as your name indicates together with the words silent and listen is tbe road you should follow.
Reb EliezerParticipantI have proof from the fact that the Beis Hilel allowed the Beis Shamai to make their view known before they revealed their view as an indicatiion of their humility. President Trump fired everyone of his great advisors including General Matis. If you sure about yourself, you are not afraid to hear an opposing view which might reveal your lack of knowledge. This only indicates an inferiority complex. None of the previous presidents behaved this way.
Reb EliezerParticipantOur president Trump is a know at all who fires and isolates anyone disagreeing with him including Dr. Falci rather than wanting to hear their ideas. Therefore, he is responsible for the corona. A smart person knows what he doesn’t know and looks for the best advice.

July 10, 2020 9:43 am at 9:43 am in reply to: 17th of Taamuz – A Tough Nut to Crack Connecting 5 tragedies which occurred #1881144Reb EliezerParticipantn0mesorah. thanks, what you are saying is that Moshe Rabbenu is being commended by Hashem from his endeavor even though he had no choice but to drop it.
July 9, 2020 6:54 pm at 6:54 pm in reply to: 17th of Taamuz – A Tough Nut to Crack Connecting 5 tragedies which occurred #1881032Reb EliezerParticipantThe Yerushalmi in Taanis says that the letters kept the luchas light to be able to carry. The letters flew off, so it became so heavy that Moshe Rabbenu could not carry it and he drop it. This seems to argue with the Bavli where Hashem commended him that he drop it. Maybe, there is a proof to the Yerushalmi. It is written as dropped from one hand but read as both hands. He was holding it in one hand but when it became heavy, he held it with both hands but it was too heavy to be able to hold it.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere many reasons to see his tax returns, electiion tampering, russian influence and emolumence clause.
July 9, 2020 1:22 pm at 1:22 pm in reply to: 17th of Taamuz – A Tough Nut to Crack Connecting 5 tragedies which occurred #1880937Reb EliezerParticipantIt says that vesartem min haderech vaavadtem elohim acherim, says Chasam Sofer that turning off the walked on road, our mesorah and protectiion, leads to the worshipping of strange gods.
July 9, 2020 1:22 pm at 1:22 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880928Reb EliezerParticipantPeace strenghtens tbe rashaim, so we must chase it and break it up whereas by the ztadikim it brings love and unity so we must strive to create it.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Supreme Court ruled 7-2 including Trump’s appointees that the president is not above the law.
July 9, 2020 11:41 am at 11:41 am in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880890Reb EliezerParticipantWhen it comes to ztadikim love peace but for rashaim hate peace.
July 9, 2020 11:40 am at 11:40 am in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880889Reb EliezerParticipantabukspan, the Ksav Sofer right there in the beginning of Parashas Emor that sometimes, when it comes to rashoim, you work on breakng up peace, be radef shalom, as I mentioned from the Maharam Shik above to trump peace by truth.
July 8, 2020 9:27 pm at 9:27 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880752Reb EliezerParticipantThere iwas a question by rhe Maharam Shik by the reform movement, what comes first, peace or truth? It says to love truth (first) and then peace. However. I heard from the Meharal, that peace is the name of Hashem but truth is the stamp and the name comes before the stamp.
July 8, 2020 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880646Reb EliezerParticipantIn SA O’CH 128,35 says the Mechaber that a Kohen who killed someone even beshogeg and did teshuva should not duchen. So Pinchas required permission to do the Avodah.
July 8, 2020 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880641Reb EliezerParticipantThe Rav Abarbanel explains that Pinchas required the two rewards. Since he did not inherit the kehuna gedola as he was alive when his father Elozor became one, he had to be promised that his children will inherit it. Also, if one kills, the gaol hadom can revenge it, so he had to be protected.
July 8, 2020 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Pinchas: Love Peace and Chase Peace #1880639Reb EliezerParticipantRashi explains that Pinchas deserves his just rewards. The Dubner Magid gives a mashel for Hakoras Hatov. There was a wholesaler who hired a young apprentice stipulating that he only gets room and board without a salary, Once, a retailer came on Purim in the middle of the sudah. The proprietor pushed him away telling him come tomorrow as we are in the middle of a sudah, The young man offered to help him. The wholesaler asked afterwards the young man, what do I owe you for your salary? Didn’t we agree that I don’t get paid just room and board, he asked. He told him, until now I thought that food is valuable to you but as you were willing to give it up for my business, I have to give you something that you will appreciate. The nimshal is, we are unable to thank Hashem enough for our healthy life without worries but Pinchas sacrificed his life for the name of Hashem, so he deserves a reward valuable to him.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe above question was asked from dodtors who said yes they should wear a mask as we don’t know enough about the immunity one has.
Reb EliezerParticipantI heard once that when a fish is out of water it looks likes it is jumping around like it is enjoying itself, but it is realy dying. Similarly, it looks like peoole without Torah are enjoying themselves but they are realy dying.
Reb EliezerParticipantשבת קט’ו,א
The Sefer Maishv Davar (2,80) from the Netziv discusses what is considered holy to require burrial. He says that they should be sanctified for permanency. Therefore invitations and photocopies should not have to be burried as they are created for disposal after use and they should be able to be recycled separately.
Reb EliezerParticipantשבת קיא,ב
In SA O’CH 317,1 is an argument what a permanent knot is. In any case, on a garbage bag we should only tie a bow as it never be opened.
Reb EliezerParticipantWhen it comes to the oaths, the Vayoel Moshe proofs its severity from the punishment of the Bnei Elhraim leaving 30 years before the time where 200,000 were slaughtered by the Philistines. See the Targum Yanoson in the beginning of Parashas Beshalach for not leading tne Bnei Yisroel tbe shorter way.
Reb EliezerParticipantYou know the Midrash that Hasatan is 364 as he has no control for one day.
‘
The Maasei Hashem explains the connection of the selling of the birthrite to the request of the lentils. Yaakov Avinu knew what was told to his mother Rivkah. The elder will serve the younger. He said, if you want me to serve you by giving you lentils, I need to be the older.Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a nice gematria Yisroel (541) adds up to Yaakov (182) plus satan (359) encompassing the powers of his adversary after defeating him.
July 1, 2020 1:12 pm at 1:12 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Balak — The Righteous Acts of Hashem #1878505Reb EliezerParticipantThw GRA explains that there is a difference between imom and itom. Imom is the same mindset. He can go itom but not imom.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a saying, let sleeping dogs lie. There is a pasuk in Mishlei (26,17) quoted by the Midrash Rabba (75,3) in indicating that yaakov Avinu should have never be concerned with Aisov and fight a battle that does not apply to him like grabbing on to a dogs ear that is running away. The Binah Leitim says that vayiro Yaakov meod vayetzer lo, Yaakov Vavinu had pain that he was afraid of Aisov in the first place.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe question is if we thank Hashem for what He gives us or who gives it to us. If a great individual gives a present, even the smallest anount is a appreciated. Similarly, Hashem judges the mitzvos we do on our level and not His what we are responsible towards Him.
Reb EliezerParticipantn0messorah, fix what you have and don’t dismantle it as I mentioned above by removing a main part of legislatiion and say that now it is not workable because it is unconstitutuinal.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe have a Hungarian statement, don’t throw out the dirty water until there is clean. Don’t eliminate the ACA until we have sonething better to replace it with to cover pre-existing conditions.
Reb EliezerParticipantThis argument about tne ACA is like the boy who kills his parents and than asks the court to have mercy for becoming an orphan. Congress eliminated the mandate and now they argue it is unconstitutiional.
Reb EliezerParticipantTrump was given an opportunity by Sean Hannanity to point out his second term agenda and he could not describe it. He rather wants to dismantle the ACA, first by eliminating the mandate and now the rest at the time of the pandemic.

June 25, 2020 10:02 am at 10:02 am in reply to: Parashas Korach, The Significance of Tefila #1876428Reb EliezerParticipantThe Kohanim are diligent. The closer we are to Hashem, the more we can accomplish. The rebbies daven for others. Aharon Hakohen was second to Moshe Rabbenu at Mount Sinai but Korach was out for himself and his argument being kohen gadol was illogical. He never explained what makes him better than anyone else. When a person has self interest, he does not lthink logically. The Ben Ish Chai says לא יקרחו קרחה בראשם do not tear in what is infront of you. Before כהן before ‘כ’ is ‘י’ and ‘ה’ is ‘ד’ and ‘ן’ is ‘מ’ making מיד diligence.
June 24, 2020 8:42 pm at 8:42 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Korach — Pans, Purification, and Peeved Parties #1876246Reb EliezerParticipantThe Klei Yokor uses the rule, opposites react. The daf tomorrow Shabbos 111,1 putting vinegar on a tooth when hurting heals otherwise it is detrimental.
June 24, 2020 8:41 pm at 8:41 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Korach — Pans, Purification, and Peeved Parties #1876251Reb EliezerParticipantMy question was why didn’t King Solomon think of it? Maybe, tne questiion is why doesn’t the efer metamei tbe water?
June 24, 2020 12:56 pm at 12:56 pm in reply to: Dvar Torah Korach — Pans, Purification, and Peeved Parties #1876104Reb EliezerParticipantleMaan Achai, look at the Klei Yokor in Parashas Chukas on umazei mei hanidah which explains its contradiction.
