I much prefer it that way than if the heads just let u do what u like…
no no course I do!! just wondering is there any shabbatons etc…
@musictomyears! what are the shabbosos like? how many in shabbosos are there and what are we menna do for the other ones?? what time is curfew?
they had loads of applicants and I heard they had a huge intake of girls and most of them took there places… my friend is going there… an awesome sem! right next to keser chaya!
hey u said jumpers… where u from?? is it any colour jumper? i’m wearing long!! I know me too!! are u on the sem spread sheet?
ik theres about 70ish girls…. whats the dress code? and is there a lot of free time? I heard from a girl there now that our year is gonna be a more academic year!!
need seminary help-it will be quite obvious who I am 🙂 does anyone know what date keser chaya starts?
need seminary help: England…
and btw anyone going to binas over here??
wahoooooo go keser chaya!!Ive heard only good about it…@need seminary help: where u from???
thank you so much! all that info is very helpful. do u know anything more about binas??
Ive heard Binas beis Yaakov is an upcoming BJJ/mesoras rochel, is that true???
well nachlas has changed since rebbetzin Jackobowitz left. not in a bad way, just different so I don’t really know much about it but want to find out since im also considering to go. BYA is more academic (not much in it) than nachlas. bnos chava is full of japs (snobs)and also academic. Iobviousky haven’t been to these seminaries but this is what I hear over and over again! lahav is a half year sem so don’t know anything about that.
I had my interview. she asks what do u wanna get out of sem in general not necessary her sem
Seminar sounds the type of them your looking for! im applying there bc ive heard that theres a lot of work but not too much stress like nachlas/bya/bnos chava etc.
Our school is doing a favour for rebetzin j and letting her interview the girls in London this week since she came here to speak about the new sem and she is making a simcha soon so it will be hard for her to come later. im wondering if any americans have heard about this new sem???? Anyone who had an interview at BYA or Nachlas when rebbetzin J was there PLEASE lmk ASAP as my interview is at 8.30am tomorrow morn!!! THANK YOU!
ywn10: sorry for not replying sooner, gatestead new is not very yeshivish but rabbi katz is very particular on who he accepts. it offers good courses and the girls who have been there who i know have loved it to the max! its a good frum sem with girls from all over. hatzlacha.
hi does seminar allow ipods, more like ipod touch or an iphone which is used as a ipod and not a phone?
nanny: no im appplying there next year tho…
reader55: do you have to know how to translate or are they asking from you to just read it coz i have no idea how to translate…??
just to let u know my name is LOVEPARTY
ha and how do u know????? 2nd of all theres are plenty of fat people there its just that one might feel really complex coz most girls are really skinny!!! thats more in nachlas and BYA though……
WIY wow that was scary… think she means that girls can hang out with good friends where there is a hangout…eg a restaurant where theres a hangout outside girls can go inside and mind their own buiseness
hmmm… yeah but i like to go to places with friends…
haha clap clap everyone, you really did CRINGE alot of good…
cringe: wasnt talking to u anyway i was talking to zahavasdad… well back to u, do u help ur mother? do u never go out on m.shabbos? i like to be abit free…
k so ur gonna try sort something out?!
Thanz for your help….
okkkk just wondering……….
keser chaya is not yeshivish and dont thinks its majorly academic
haha what i meant was what kinda questions do they ask??
sorry was a bit unclear…they just hang out on the street doing nothing in particular so it really would help if theres a program for them
zahavasdad: they wouldnt want to go to a gym since its not mixed and its most boys and girls who are OTD who hang out and they hang out outside the pizza shop but u wont find any of them inside…they just hang out outside
princess15- i wouldn’t think you would be allowed to wtite text language in school so…
princess15: where abouts is the place ur talking about??
i think that going out to eat with friends (not an expensive/fancy place) is alot of fun and good spot for socializing an since motzai shabbos goes out early its convenient to do this…
ender: her spelling is rly good i would think she’s outta seminary!!!!!!!!!!
whiteberry: ur missing the point! if a bunch of a mixed crowd is standing outside resteraunts on m.shabbos til early in the morning making a racket, does it look bad for a BY girl to go with friends at 8/9ish?? not to go at 3!!
k im also looking into seminar…anyone know much about it? is it hard to get in? is it more hashkafa than text?
theres a place which is very convenient to eat at which is always full of teenagers standing outside, cheering etc at night starting at 7. (they’re not thinking of eating inside or eating full stop) i think its ok if ur a stable girl who goes with friends and keeps to urself since inside its not a hangout only outside…seems like its a good meeting place
pricess15: could be ur right but thats what i heard…do u plan on applying to any of them? 🙂
from what i have heard BYA is alot more work than nachlas
happym19- that sounds really good bc im considering to apply to both seminar and ateres and if lev bais yaakov is also like those 2 then it must be for me;-)
princess15- from what ive sed do u know who i am??
hi think i know u princess15!!!!!
sorry meaning americans and out of town girls. which ‘types’ of girls??!!
bya and nachlas is alot of americans-quite out of towners. seminar also sounds like a good option, its not too academic but its still alot of work. sorry i dont know much about lahav
sounds like nachlas or bya is for her. is she academic??
thats thye best bit- the location and stuff!! thanx nanny and luv2Bjewish! im not the most academic type but if i try harder i could get hi grades- is that good enough??
also rebetzion jackabowicz just left so is there the same amount of applicants as usual???
hi what is nachlas like?? friendly, warm, very academic??
ive heard about sems but everyone says different an i really want to try for nachlas but ive heard that its very academic and hard to get into and uve gotta be from a weel known family- is this all true?
have no idea all i know is that it is fairly new-sorry!!
any info on nachlas anyone?? is it an open-minded sem, teachers u could talk to, hard working, friendly girls?
