My real problem is because the Hamodia claims to be ‘The newspaper of Torah Jewry’ when they are very clearly a multi million dollar profit making business.

there is an inyan not to shave motz shabbos as you are showing that you couldnt shave till now and right after shabbos you are which is an embarrasment to shabbos.

this is not a sgula or something that was made up yesterday, its brought down in many seforim

I had few friends who went there and were extremely happy. they are known to have superb Rabbeim with a very Chushuva Rosh HaYeshiva who teaches the boys to become responsible young men who are ready to enter the real world. If you are intrested, I can provide you with some references and some phone numbers of people there, or if you have specific questions, you could post them and I will try to get all the answers

    Good luck!

i think that some of men want their wifes to dress the way they do. if the men dont stop idolizing ‘hollywood styles’ then the women are never going to change. be it 5 inch heels or the long red toenails that you could see througt the open toe shoes with no socks! the solution rests in the mans court…

Question #3 could be even better!

When do we Lein for 5 days in a row without saying Hallel?

The answer being in a senerio like this year where we Lein on Rosh Hashana (Thursday and Friday), The the regular Shabbos Leining, then Sunday because of Tzom Gedalyah, and then a regular Monday Leining!

An Open Letter to Seminary Girls: Etiquette in Geulah

    By Yeshiva Guy

In a tradition dating back to the opening of the doors of the first seminary way back when in the fifties, the second week of Elul is host to an ingathering of exiles, so to speak. I refer to the yearly migration of those known colloquially as Sem Girls. Otherwise known as our holy seminary sisters. Yes, every year around this time they invade Geulah. They take Malchei Yisroel and transform it from the once sleepy Yerushlayimer shopping and food center it was into a yearlong virtual sleepover.

-Wear Crocs in public. This is NOT cool, and does not fit in with the Bas Melech image your teachers will be attempting to teach you over the next year.

-Buy leather-bound Tehillims/Siddurim for all of your cousins/aunts/uncles. That creativity thing? Again, demonstrate.

So welcome to our town. Geulah is our turf. You can have Har Nof, Sortozkin, MInchas Yitzchak, Ramat Eshkol, and the other shchunos. But Geulah is our turf. We own it.

So adios, and seeya back in America.

    Yeshiva Guy
