Shopping613 ?ParticipantIt took my like 10 minutes to type up that story and you deleted it? *gasp*

I have no idea how they will pay for it….I seriously think were going to be crowdfunding or something so I can go….Why don’t your parents want you going? The money? The idea? Hashkafa?
Shopping613 ?ParticipantI went to Ki Tov…it’s like camp yachad in a seminary. I felt the majority came there just to have fun. The teachers were amazing though….
January 5, 2016 7:58 pm at 7:58 pm in reply to: seminary 2016 for mature 12 graders (right now in 12 grade) #1120910Shopping613 ?ParticipantI only wear my hair in a ponytail. I prob. will stop by it just to see if I have time…

Shopping613 ?ParticipantMods are superheros
Shopping613 ?ParticipantChedvas? No. Lahav I beleive is 4 months.
I actually am going to go look at chedvas this week, although I don’t like the type of girls that come out. Meaning I don’t like the way they come out-like their very single minded, and too…stiff, and I don’t know. I’m basing this off at least 20 girls whom I know went there. I don’t want to come out like they did.
But someone roped me in to looking into it….so here I go.
January 5, 2016 12:20 pm at 12:20 pm in reply to: Why is there so much pressure to be "in style" #1121460Shopping613 ?ParticipantI just hate that people judge those who don’t buy a new wardrobe every season.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantI know f a 4 months pragram…
Shopping613 ?ParticipantIf she has multiple issues it will be hard for her to get into a mainstream sem, but I have friends trying to do it for seminary. Everyone needs different things. I have a friend with much similar issues (its actually a bit creepy) and she B”H is going to therapy and from what it seems to me-almost all her issues stem from 1 root and therapy can get rid of over half of them. People who have been maintstreamed there whole life-such as finishing high school in a normal place should definetly go to sem. I don;t think my friend is telling the sem of her issues as B”H they will get better and she knows how judgemental people can be. She says she has made it till now, she can do it again.
But this girl is 16, and I don’t think she will be able to interact on a healthy level with 18 normal mainstreamed girls who B”H most did not get abused and so on….
But that’s just my opinion-who ever listens to that?
Shopping613 ?ParticipantRachel-I am not sure where you live, but Iam aware that the sems know of the australian situation where the school year ends in December too. Wherever you are applying, calling, emailing and so on just explain that you are australian school system and end the year in December. An Israeli school wouldn’t davka get that so try american israeli, or places where they get girls from all over so they understand the situation.
You should be able to easily get in to a place if they understand it’s how the school system in your country works. One Israeli place that accepts girls from all over is Ofakim. But it’s VERY close minded. I wouldn’t go there but apparently there are like a few hundred girls there so it must be good, right? I haven’t looked into it since it’s not for me-but check it out!
Hatzlacha!
Try asking australians where they go…
I know Chedvas gets them sometimes.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantWhat is your bombs magic? Coffee?
January 3, 2016 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm in reply to: seminary 2016 for mature 12 graders (right now in 12 grade) #1120879Shopping613 ?ParticipantWhy don’t you just say “I” instead of “a girl” we read your posts. We are not stupid.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantAgain Hatzlacha.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantYou need to add yourself. It’s called being assertive honey.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantI’m so sick of that popping up every 30 seconds…SO ANNOYING!
January 3, 2016 8:45 pm at 8:45 pm in reply to: Why is there so much pressure to be "in style" #1121450Shopping613 ?ParticipantThose seminaries are eggheads.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantLots of hatzlacha! Its a lot of research!!!!!! Just take a name and research it. First thing you should do is call/email all of them and ask if they would even listen to what you have to say. Simply state the facts and see how many no’s you get in the first 5 minutes or email.
January 3, 2016 12:58 pm at 12:58 pm in reply to: Random thread: Rocky Zweig, Purim, and writing #1120158Shopping613 ?ParticipantNeva heard of him before.
January 3, 2016 12:58 pm at 12:58 pm in reply to: Why is there so much pressure to be "in style" #1121443Shopping613 ?ParticipantBecause of this I actually look down upon people “in style”. Those people are ussu. uptight, judgmental, and superficial.
January 3, 2016 12:56 pm at 12:56 pm in reply to: Why is there so much pressure to be "in style" #1121442Shopping613 ?ParticipantI guess it’s different when you live “in town”. I’m so glad I grew up out of town. I try to run in circles where being “in” doesn’t matter.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantYou are coming from college??? Wow…Hatzlacha.
Most sems try to tell girls not to go to college but you’ve already been there.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantIt’s Jewish. Perhaps.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantDo you have an offical list of users you could post? It would be so interesting to see.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantLike dis
Shopping613 ?ParticipantYes, I didn’t mean to steal it.
January 2, 2016 5:34 pm at 5:34 pm in reply to: Why are jewish clothing stores so expensive? #1119937Shopping613 ?ParticipantGashmiyus and Ruchniyus can’t go together. Rarely they do.
January 2, 2016 5:33 pm at 5:33 pm in reply to: Random thread: Rocky Zweig, Purim, and writing #1120156Shopping613 ?ParticipantWow, tis is an old thread. Too many question marks in my OP for my liking lol.
Thanks a lot! I don’t even remember writing this lol.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantYeah, why not?
January 1, 2016 1:33 pm at 1:33 pm in reply to: Why is there so much pressure to be "in style" #1121435Shopping613 ?ParticipantDon’t dress in braids and a jumper when your 16, or wear shlumpy/dirty clothing. I mean t-shirts, random skirts….
Most thing made in the past 5-6 years aren’t nebbish. Perhaps not exactly in style but it doesn’t mean you loook like a neb or ugly. That’s what I’m trying to say…
January 1, 2016 10:45 am at 10:45 am in reply to: Why are jewish clothing stores so expensive? #1119934Shopping613 ?ParticipantYou can’t be rich and frum though.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantWell, they don’t answer their emails. Do they have a phone number?
January 1, 2016 6:23 am at 6:23 am in reply to: Why are jewish clothing stores so expensive? #1119932Shopping613 ?ParticipantJoseph-I do.
It’s okay not to wear the latest style. You know what looks the best on people? Pretty clean clothes that bring out your good parts and compliment you. So what if it’s from 3 years ago. It looks nice, compliments you, and that’s what matters. As long as you don’t look like you walked out of a historical film…it’s fine
Shopping613 ?ParticipantBut I don’t want to go over an a issur. Mods, can I buy one?
Shopping613 ?ParticipantRandomex still has his sword I beleive.
Shopping613 ?ParticipantAnyway I can get in touch with them. For some reason MR isn’t answering us…
Very frustrating. Don’t they have a phone number?
Shopping613 ?ParticipantNo news is simply no news
