Dear popa bar abby there is another poster in the coffee room who i will not name who posts things i sometimes disagree with but whenever i respond to his/her post i am ignored with no response or answer whatsoever i think this is unseemly if someone questions something you said you should answer, it seems i am the only one he is ignoring but i am not sure about that, perhaps he feels i am not frum enough for him or this site what should i do to let him know that i deserve to be heard too.

I could easily get on food stamps if i chose to i choose not to because i want to support myself, some people feel that since these programs are available we deserve to take advantage of them, ive known people who come from very wealthy families who have gotten low income apartments did they really need assistance? no.
Lior you make it sound like its a mitvah doraiysa to go on gov funding these programs were originally started with the intent to help those who cannot help themselves not those who choose not to help themselves.
It is always better to be self sufficient, when possible.
