School Vouchers are almost impossible to get legal in NY, there is something called a Blaine amendment which was written in the late 19th century against catholic schools, They tried to change it in the 1960’s but it proved to be almost impossible to remove.

And even if somehow vouchers became the norm, by accepting them you would also allow the government to regulate them to an extent like curriculum issues (When you accept the money , you also accept the terms that come with them)

If the community “taxes itself” does that mean yeshivas would be forced to take all kids no matter what? If a Belz Yeshiva for example takes a “community tax” from more MO people and one of their kids who has a TV in the house and goes to movies (and will not stop) do they have a right to refuse entry to such a kid , especially since they took the parents money. If you are going to take peoples money, you are going to have to take their kids as well

    There is a old joke

    (Q) How can you make a little money in Israel

    (A) Bring alot with you

It is very expensive to live in Israel and its tough to make Parnassoh there

I dont know if the OP realizes thats you just cant move from Israel to UK or USA, to get to USA you need a VISA, if you dont have one you cannot come to USA and even if you do get one you are not allowed to work without a Green Card or some authorization and there is no social net in USA like there is in Israel

Its not just widows, divorcees etc.

If you have say 5 Kids and the tution is $5,000 a kid, thats $25,000 you need Before taxes and any other expensive (Including food and rent/mortgage) You need to make an insane amount of money to be frum nowadays. If your rent/mortgage is $2000 a month thats another $24,000 you need, $49,000 and you didnt buy food , utitities or transportation or pay taxes yet. You easily need to make $100,000 just to get by. $75,000 isnt going to cut it. and $75,000 is a decent salary.

I am sure if someone said they went to someone and something good happend the Mods would let it go through

But would the mods let go through someone who claimed to be a miracle maker and someone had gone to that person with the Kvitel and then nothing happend except the persons wallet was lighter?

if it is said as a warning to others without being a slander against the concept of going for brachos/advice from Rabbeim, there is a good chance it would go through

Its not stealing and its not illegal. You do not have to pay any more than you are legally required to pay.

It would be very different if you used some illegal or semi-legal method to avoid the toll.

BTW many times this method adds more time to the trip than its worth. It is not a zero sum game

You need to read the consitution better

It take 3/4 of the House and Senate to pass an amendment Then 2/3 of the states must ratify it.

    Good luck on that

I am not concerned about the Kashruth of Schav, I am not eating it under any circumstances. They do sell it though, usually around Pesach

Food is very personal thing, everyone has likes and dislikes.

I do not belive there is such a thing as a “Hemish Taam” You like what you like and dislike what you dislike.

I personlly love sushi, but I have a friend who calls it bait

This is not such a good idea. Not everyone who can have a baby should have a baby. Setting aside the financial issues, there are other issues some people are already taxed from the kids they already have and cannot handle anymore kids. Not everyone can handle 10 Kids or 8 Kids or whatever number and its not good for the parent or the child when this happens

Its alot easier to be frum in the US because of people like Rabbi Heshel.

Until the 1960’s relgious rights were somewhat limited. While its true you could get a new job everyweek at some point many people gave up and eventually worked on Shabbos.

The US army did not have kosher provisions and while some tried (and did keep kosher) many were not able to.

Things like leaving work early on Friday was unheard of. Money for Yeshivas (There is indirect money and lots of it for stuff like books, School buses and more)

You needed people to get the laws and attitude in the US to be changed in order for frumkite to exist.

Why would anyone want to force 2 people to stay married when at least one of them doesnt want to be there. Forcing someone to stay married is not a good receipe for shalom bayis especially if there are children (Divorce is better than having 2 people constantly fighting , arguing etc with each other)

    No, they would stay home.

Maybe for the first week or 2 , but having a teen home alone doing nothing while their friends are going to school is a recipe for disaster. At least in Public school they might be doing something productive

If you think school is too hard, maybe you are in the wrong school. The double curriculum for jewish schools is overwheming for many esepcially if you have a learning disability which many yeshivas are not equiped to handle

This is not about Legally, Yes the yeshivas can deny entry and Yes the parents can home school the kids instead of Public School although this is tough in NY. To claim relgious reasons to drop out might not apply here since other relgious jews attend school which is not the case with the Amish

But the reality is these kids will likley go to public school.

And to put the blame anywhere but the yeshivas for MOST (not All) of these kids is misplaced (There are always kids like severly disabled like autistic or severly developmentally disabled or maybe violent who should not be with anyone except super qualified teachers)
