hello99 -“Health: It is very unlikely that there will a Bishul Akum problem. The cholent should already be cooked at least k’Ma’achal ben Drusai before Shabbos. However, Amira l’Akum is certainly an issue.”
Why shouldn’t it be Bishul Acum? Who said it was cooked?
Why would it be an Issur of Amira L’acum?
HealthParticipantI hate snow!
HealthParticipantBTguy – “I may be wrong and I apologize if I am, but why downplay animal rights, which is common in our circles?”
Who ever downplays animal rights? But animal rights don’t trump our Torah. If the Torah says it’s humane to Shecht an animal for eating, then who are these liberals to disagree?
(“It’s gotta be stunned first!”)
Did they create animals like a Hashem?
Your post reeks of liberal Anti-Torah views. This might not be your Kavana, but it’s certainly theirs!
HealthParticipantcherrybim – I used to know a Yekke who would sing CherryBim – up and down our block. For his sake I hope you aren’t related to him. He would turn over in his grave – if he is related to you!
HealthParticipantuneeq -“Health- About the rest of what you said, I have better things to do than waste my time responding again.
Like pursuing my idea of printing the 5th chelek of shulchan aruch.”
In others words -“I don’t know C.C. or any Halacha regarding Loshon Hora, so I can’t respond to you”!
When you print your 5th Chelek is that going to include everything that you feel should have said in the other 4, instead of what is actually said? In other words -Are you going to tell us what is considered L.H. and whatever the Chofetz Chaim said is outdated & wrong?
HealthParticipantGuter yid – Don’t confuse self-haters like CherryBim, with small items like the truth. He isn’t the least bit interested!
January 6, 2012 3:45 am at 3:45 am in reply to: I just know this is going to go the wrong way #844637HealthParticipantaries -What I’ve seen there – is simple. One guy comes with body armor & a helmet. He first screamed at me & e/o else to get away. He then takes a rope with a hook on one end & a reel on the other. He attaches the object to the hook and then walks about 35 -50 feet away, unreeling the rope. He then reels in the object -like s/o reeling in a fish. If it explodes -e/o knows it’s a bomb, if not, then the guy opens it looking for some info to whom it belongs.
HealthParticipantI have too many Shtenders. My father used to get the Goyim to make them for him in the woodworking shop -where he used to teach.
HealthParticipantsoliek -I’m willing to give medical advice on addiction treatment, through email, but depending on the involvement not necessarily on a volunteer basis.
HealthParticipantSam2 -“Health: The Ponevezher Rav mandated flying the flag.”
I already said this.
“And Rav Shach used to stand up when his grandson entered the Beis Medrash in his army uniform.”
So what? He liked his Grandkid. He didn’t show any extra anything to the guy I knew.
HealthParticipantPBA -Here in Lakewood -it took a good few days before they even plowed after the blizzard last year. Noone could go anywhere, but after they plowed -I had no problem. A shovel & kitty litter is all that you need. If you really need to get around buy an ATV or a snowmobile. If I ever had the money I’d buy one of those amphibious vehicles.
HealthParticipantmdd – Excuse me, name one besides Rav Kook who said that you SHOULD have “dealings” with them L’chatchilla, not just B’dieved?
HealthParticipantyichusdik – Stop living in your little world of Tzioni Lies.
Rav Shach zt’l, never agreed to any flag flying. If you know anything about Ponevez he was just a hired hand. The Kahnemens are the ones in charge. As matter of fact, it was posted here, that s/o asked him why are the Bochurim protesting when they put up the flag? And he answered if They don’t protest -then we will have to hire protesters to come and protest!
I’ll tell you a story I heard about him secondhand. I’m sure you won’t believe it because you are too brainwashed!
Anyway a guy (Frum) was in the Lebanon war and got shot during his duty. After he got out of the hospital he went to Rav Shach zt’l for a Brocha. I think Rav Shach just told him Hatzlocha -I don’t really remember, but this I definitely remember -the army guy told me that Rav Shach told him -“that you think the war is just being fought on the front in Lebanon, but it’s actually being fought on two fronts and the Bais Medrash is one of them!”
HealthParticipantCtrl Alt Del -“Now as far as health is concerned : you are basically a 2 bit hack. With neither knowledge of medicine nor vocabulary.”
Ooh I’m so insulted.
“You are a great pretender but when You are put to the test you fail miserably.”
What test? Did you actually think I would even care to answer any silly question you post here?
“No amount of protestation on your part is going to change the facts.”
Whose protesting? Do you actually think I care two hoots about your opinion?
“By the way you are still misusing the word pithing. Do us all a favor finish paramedic school first then come to discuss medical issues in this forum.”
Ok whatever you say. Keep humoring yourself. I’m not explaining the insult. The reason you don’t understand it -is because the insult is so very true.
“As far as proving something to me of course you don’t have to. But now that you have not and have declined publicly, I am sure the rest of the cr is very interested in why you could not answer a simple question that is not googleable. Good night, doctor Google Cutandpaste”
I just answered a question from -“toomuch00 –
What did they recently discover the tissue from the inside of the Appendix can sometimes be useful for?” And I didn’t Google it.
Don’t you even read the posts here or are you so in your own little world that you see posts and scenarios that don’t exist?
They call people like you Psychotic. And you can Google it – if you don’t know what it means!
HealthParticipantAvi K -“As for doing things through the Medina, who else runs an army to protect us? Jobs, on the other hand, are mainly in the private sector as are training courses (in fact, the ones that are specifically for Chareidim are given by Chareidi institutions). Apparently someone is afraid that if Chareidim leave the dole (doled out by the Medina)they will be less subject to control by those who supposedly represent their interests (this, in fact, is how socialistic parties stay in power).”
I don’t know who brainwashed you, but you are a very misguided individual. Read my post to Emunah 613!
HealthParticipantSam 2 -Good for you.
HealthParticipantPBA – I just use all -weather tires. Much better traction in all conditions. As far as getting stuck, I really don’t know where you live, but in the NY, NJ area we don’t get that much snow to be concerned about getting stuck.
Also, like you wouldn’t need them in a city like Montreal -the city even plows the sidewalk for you. If you do live in the states and the city/town don’t put much money into snow removal -it depends. If they hardly ever plow -chains won’t make a difference because the car will just get stuck from the bottom. Snow tires/chains aren’t snow shoes -you still have to clear the chasis to drive. But if they actually do plow and you are just scared to get stuck in some drift or something like that -this is what I do. I have a shovel and some kitty litter. You dig a little and you place the cat litter down for traction and then you drive out by rocking. Never floor it that your wheels spin.
HealthParticipantARWSF – What many don’t understand is that Torah is the truth and only the Torah is true – nothing else in this world. A Jew in name only can’t possibly fathom the truth. If something seems unfair or unequal -it’s not the Torah fault, it’s our lack of understanding. Women were created with different purposes than man and that is why we do things and they do different things.
Unfortunately, only a self-hating worm would seek not to just bash all Charedim like a lot of Freye are doing, but this low-life decides it’s a ripe opportunity to attack the Torah itself. His soul will be treated the same as the worst people that have ever stood up in Klal Yisroel. V’shem Rishoyim Yirkav! Yeetamu Chatoyim Min Haaretz! (And not just his newspaper.)
HealthParticipantCtrl Alt Del -“Good word health, Sid you find it in your medic textbook or did you google ut? Either way you used it in the wrong context.”
Oh, I used it in the right context. There is no connection from your organs to the top. Something you don’t understand?
“Did my trivia question scare you since you couldn’t google it?”
I wouldn’t answer any of Your questions. Your the last person in the world I would want to prove anything to!
“Your flippant attitude gives you away at every turn. I will be nice to you since it’s pretty clear no 1 else in your life has.”
My attitude? You’re the one that’s been cursing me out for umteen years. Did you ever hear of the expression of Kol Haposel B’mumo Posel?
“Now, why don’t you go back to being an ambulance driver?”
Sounds like a great idea, but since I don’t know where you work – I can’t. Because Ch’vs I might end up bringing a pt. to your hospital and they would end up under your care. I couldn’t possibly do this to another human being!
HealthParticipantSam2 -“Health: When have I attacked or condemned anyone?”
You’re joking right? Didn’t you just attack me?
HealthParticipantuneeq -“You know how it says seyag lechochma shtika? I could sum up all your complaints in six simple words “how do you know it’s true?”.
Just because you posted in bold -equivalent to screaming – doesn’t mean there is a Shred of Truth in what you say!
There is a reason that I posted the way I did and not concise -so Am Haratzim like you shouldn’t say -“What did I do wrong?”
But you posted your ridiculous comments anyway.
“And to that I respond that I live in Israel and I see whats going on. My head isn’t buried in the sand. Neither is YWN. As a news org that has correspondents in the area they are acutely aware of the situation over there. You don’t need the media to matir us to talk about this filth. Everyone in the area knows exactly whats going on.”
E/o knows what’s going on, but that means every Charedi they catch is guilty, right?
“Also, the fact that he got convicted shows that he was testified against (or ample evidence against him, your choice). Most definitely by the JEWS that were tortured by him.”
One second -Where you by the trial? I doubt it. Did you see a video of the trial? I doubt this also.
“SO it’s your choice: Say lashon hara about the many Jews that testified and call them liars. Or please check the forum for a topic you are more knowledgeable about.”
You say that you live in Israel, but I thought that the air in E.Y. makes you smart? I guess this only applies to Talmedi Chachmim, Not Am Haratzim like you! You call my posting in defense of this guy L.H. and that I’m calling the witnesses liars.
Can I ask you a question, if you believe in the Torah & Halacha, are you allowed to go to a Court in the State of Israel? No you’re not, if you didn’t know this, – you must go to Bais Din!
As a matter of fact if s/o (a Jew) testifies in such a court even if true, acc. to Halacha it’s called Loshon Hora! And the Din of L.H. is that you aren’t allowed to believe it!
Ya see – I wouldn’t have to be so long-winded if guys like you would learn some Halacha like the Sefer Chofetz Chaim!
But instead of learning the Torah -you just scream -“I’m right” and do whatever you want, even if you are Oiver Aveira after Aveira!
HealthParticipantAvi K – Except for JB your post is an outright lie. E/o knows the Agudah & their Gedolim that you mentioned held it was a Beshas Hadechak. They held if they are going to do it anyway, then you can join to make it as Kosher as possible! Noone held this was the right thing to do, except for Rav Kook!
HealthParticipantadams -“again what is Chareidi bashing?”
I’m not going to go into all the posts that have been posted -you can read them yourselves. I’ll give a general example -posters stating that all Charedim should be blamed for the spitting incident -not just a few! This is called collective blame. This occurred in Pre-war Europe – that the Goyim blamed all Jews for a few Shylocks. There was a purpose to this incitement and the end result was the Holocaust.
HealthParticipantadams -“But not when you have lived in these areas and have seen the violence first hand (I myself was threatened by neighbors in Beis Yisroel and it was only by luck that a friend of my roommates came over and had a gun on him, he showed the gun to the Avreich and the fellow backed off). So I have no reason to doubt any of the reported incidents.”
So this incident is true because an incident happenned with you?
Did you ever see a video of this guy commiting crimes?
Did you ever learn Chofetz Chaim? I highly doubt it!
“Not that this means that I hate all Chareidim or bash them. this is another lie being bandied about.”
So since you are willing to believe this story, even though the Torah says you can’t, there must be an underlying reason -why.
I think the reason is because you hate all Charedim!
HealthParticipantSam2 -“Health, you’re unbelievable. You spend countless hours stating how many people are not “Bichlal Amisecha” because of so many different reasons and now you are defending someone (I don’t know any of the story or anything about the guy, so I’m not commenting on this specific situation) by saying that for Lashon Harah to be Muttar you either need a P’sak Beis Din or to see them doing Aveiros “all the time” (I’m not sure how a video would prove that either; it’s just one clip, not an indication of what they always do). Which is it?”
Actually you are unbelievable. I’m not a hypocrite like you imply. I have not seen any video of this Sikrim guy doing any crimes and I don’t think anybody here has either.
On the other hand before I explained the actions’ of the spitters, not defended like I was accused of, I looked at the pictures and videos of the MO’s in Bet Shemesh. I didn’t just look at the recent ones where they know they are on display and trying to make it look like it’s one-sided, I looked at old ones and the picture of her on the couch. So I saw first hand that almost all of these MO’s don’t dress Tzinusdik acc. to the Torah! Oh btw, it wasn’t just One clip!
So what about you? -it seems you just take sides, nothing to do with what the Torah holds. If it’s an MO -you’ll defend no matter what. If it’s a Charedi, you’ll attack & condenm no matter what!
HealthParticipantemunah613 -“Furthermore, every real soldier knows that the enemies of Jews are the 70 million non Jews who openly proclaim their intention to wipe Israel and Jews off of the globe. Their entire service is dedicated to hatzolas nefoshos-which overides ALL other mitzvos. Does anyone really believe that if Israel had no army doing its job 24/7 that we could rely solely on our zechusim to have Eretz Yisroel? Hashem needs us to have hishtadlus to protect ourselves. The Charedim are benefiting greatly from the service the army provides, and all they do is vilify the army. ( There are a few charedim who go into the army as rabbis, and are mashgichim in kitchens, and provide counseling and lead tefilla.) I think that a great idea would be if a Charedi gadol would openly and publicly write a letter thanking the Israeli government/army for ensuring that the country is safe and for being so gracious as to allow their population to learn Torah. And make hakarot hatov an agenda. It will be mekarev the secular and maybe they will begin to want to learn something about their heritage.”
You sound like a honest person -so I will give you a honest answer. I’m sure these ideas were given to you by Rabbis. But do you understand the difference between a Rabbi and a Godol?
Our Gedolim hold that it’s Ossur to have anything to do with the Medina where they are directly on top of you. Going to the Army or Nachal Charedi is part of this. If you look in the Chumash it says over and over, it’s Hashem who protects us, not an army.
While you are allowed to make Histadlus -the Torah repeatedly says if you think you are winning because of your own army strength, not only is this Not true but it is a big Aveirah to think so! The Freye Tzionim definitely think this way.
Well what about Hakoras Hatov? The Gedolim have said actually it’s not the way you think -that we owe the gov. of Israel Hakoras Hatov for protecting us and supporting learning of the Torah. The people who don’t learn Torah all the time are the ones who owe Hakoras Hatov to the ones that do. The people who are learning the Torah all the time, like in Kollel, are actually the ones who are protecting all of Israel from destruction!
I know this is a hard concept for an individual to comprehend.
But let me give you a real example that you can comprehend:
Almost daily (off & on) there has been rocket attacks on Israel, mainly in the south. I know Terrorists are retarted, but even the most retarted person can hit their targets at least half the time. Why in the world do they almost never hit anything of value, if not that Hashem doesn’t want them to? Maybe Hashem is doing this because the Jews in Israel have lots and lots of Zecusim and a good portion of these Zecusim come from the learners of the Torah all the time!
HealthParticipantkfb -“So don’t you dare say YWN is chareidi bashing!”
We weren’t talking about those posts. We are talking about all the posts that Charedi Bash!
Go back and read all of them before you open your mouth!
HealthParticipantuneeq -“Let’s pretend that al pi din (sources?) you can only be happy if he’s a rosha. And lets pretend that he’s not a rosha. (Him? Not a rosha!? There is extensive proof that he is. He himself won’t deny the violence he has done.)”
Really -he told you he did many crimes?!?!
Did you ever hear of the Issur of believing LH?
Did you ever hear of being Dan L’caf Zecus?
On the one thing that he was convicted on in a Non-Bais Din -you can be Choset for (perhaps believe), nothing more.
“Still however, good riddance is simply “An expression of pleasure on being rid of some annoyance – usually an individual.”
Exactly, and how do you know what kind of individual he is?
“This guy caused so much to pain so many Jewish people.”
And how do you know that?
“Of course they are happy that some local mafia member isn’t around to torture them. Even if you cannot hate the guy, you can definitely hate his actions.”
How do you know what his actions are?
(I already stated above – “The only way he can have a Din Rosha if they Paskened on him like this in Bais Din or you’ve personally seen him do Aveiros ALL the time (this can even be through video if it’s a positive indentification).)”
I doubt you saw a video of him and he never was called in front of any Bais Din!
“Why not thank hashem for taking away this Tzaar?”
And how do you know this guy is a Tzarr?
I really don’t blame you for the way you think because e/o believes anything in the News. But us Frum Jews have a Torah and this what we believe in, nothing more. The Chofetz Chaim wrote Halchos on L.H. in his Sefer. In there he says clearly just because you read something in a newspaper (nowadays it would be any media), all the Dinim of L.H. apply. This would include not believing it!
Now for an author to come to a comment of “Good Riddance”, he/she would have to believe what was said about the guy!
Maybe you, (and others) should get off the net and start learning our Torah, esp. when it comes to the Dinim of Loshon Hora!
A public apology from YWN would be the right thing to do!
HealthParticipantnitpicker -You can come pick my nits anytime 🙂
“I want to know if the pancreatic and bile ducts are connected to each other or do they enter the duodenum separately.
( I have gotten different answers to this)”
Just curious -where in the world would they enter if it was separately?
HealthParticipantCtrl Alt Del -They could use you for a pithing experiment on all human organs because how else are you alive?
HealthParticipantCtrl Alt Del -“AHH yes, two great books for the ALLIED health practitioner, heh heh…If I could guess…. I would say these books make up a suggested reading list for a paramedic course. Close huh?”
Funny I don’t recall posting to you, but you seem to have to constantly post about/to me. What – you don’t have a spouse to annoy?
And your posts are getting dumber by the minute. Since when do Medic courses require Med. Terminology? Maybe you’ll find a few, but most don’t require it. It’s time for you to learn about what is going on around you in the medical field, even though you are just a Nurse’s Aid in an ICU!
HealthParticipantIn NY I think it’s against the law to ride around all the time with chains as opposed to Chicago where PBA resides now.
And anyway chains would do you no good in a blizzard like we had in the NY area in Dec. of 2010.
HealthParticipantHey Avi Kukoo – And I don’t believe Moshe Rabbeynu wrote the Torah!
You can just say I don’t care what he says -I’m doing what I want.
You know very well this has nothing to do with going out and getting a Parnossa by either going to school or getting a job. This is doing those things through the Medina. In other words you have to stay far away from the Gov. of the State of Israel!
HealthParticipantOk e/o here is a Shaila – Crock pot not turned on Fri. nite -how do you get it on? Can you get a Goy? Is there Ameira L’acum or Bishul A’cum?
HealthParticipantadams – She was talking about the posters, not the news articles!
HealthParticipantPBA -You’re too much! After this post – I think you should be called -Majorly Retarded!
January 2, 2012 4:50 am at 4:50 am in reply to: But how far is too far to excuse based on intentions alone? #840807HealthParticipantadams -I saw the picture of her on her couch before she wisened up. (And the mother was Not Tzinus.) But keep telling yourself that Charedim are nuts and spit at people who don’t keep their Chumros. And then you wonder why I say you Hate Charedim!
HealthParticipantR.T. – Hey I’m not a Rosh Yeshiva and I don’t necessarily agree with all that goes on in Yeshivos. Take it up with them.
HealthParticipantyoya -Talk about double talk -if you thought she has an allegy why use the term “infected”?
“dr. right away for an infected earlobe from fake earings.”
HealthParticipanttoomuch00 -Something to do with Immunity. Similar to Peyer’s patches in the sm. intestine.
HealthParticipantAvi K -“It is an absolute mitzva to have a Jewish state.”
Almost every single Godol (except Rav Kook) held it was Ossur to make a Medina in our times. One person’s idea doesn’t make it Halacha!
January 2, 2012 3:59 am at 3:59 am in reply to: But how far is too far to excuse based on intentions alone? #840805HealthParticipantsoliek -“yes but we claim to hold ourselves to a higher standard”
So therefore?
January 2, 2012 3:57 am at 3:57 am in reply to: But how far is too far to excuse based on intentions alone? #840804HealthParticipantYoni the yogi -The mother wasn’t Tzinus. Go back to sleep.
HealthParticipantyoya -Yoya -Yoya-Yoya.
Yes you do; because who says it’s just an allergy and will go away by itself? Ever hear of an infection?
HealthParticipantR.T. -You’re allowed to take breaks. Every Yeshiva in the world has something called Bein Hasedarim. If you don’t know what this means -ask a Yeshiva guy!
HealthParticipantHey Editor -He’s got a point. Even if the guy did it once what he is accused of -you could probably print it because it’s known in the world, but how could you add on Good Riddance? That means you’re happy he is in jail. The only way Al Pi Din you can be happy if he is a Rosha. The only way he can have a Din Rosha if they Paskened on him like this in Bais Din or you’ve personally seen him do Aveiros ALL the time (this can even be through video if it’s a positive indentification).
So how about the guy who wrote that headline issuing an apology?
HealthParticipantTro & curiousone -I hate Biochem along with everything else you mentioned. I hope Bezras Hashem I don’t remember a thing about any of those subjects (only during test time). Also, you better get a good DVD or CD program on anatomy because when you get to your Surgery rotations you won’t know what anything is, like most students. Not that I knew everything, but I knew more than most clowns. Also get a medical terminology book to study from beforehand, like Shiland’s or Davi-Ellen Chabner’s. And also buy a Physical Diagnosis book like Swartz’s. If you finish these get a Pathology book. Goljan wrote Rapid Review Pathology. All these I have -doesn’t mean that these are the best -there might be better ones.
HealthParticipantHere is the Number one trivia question in Anatomy -what bone is Not attached to any other bone?
HealthParticipantI hate anatomy. And I’ve taken it about 4 times. No silly, I didn’t fail. Three times part of programs and once as stand alone as A&P in college. Now Micro I’ve only taken 3 times. Twice as part of programs and once by itself in college.
HealthParticipantNK has No point because they do whatever they want. So anything Al Pi Torah that they happen to believe in – is lost with everything else that they do.
Satmar & Brisk have very good points and I believe they are right when it comes to the Medina!
