I come from huge yichus and I don’t fully understand it. But one thing I know is that I can do huge things with it if I’m a one and add it to all the zeros from the yichus.

Money is fully what hashem decides yichus is also what hashem decides but you can’t change it whether you want or not.

    N0mesorah

No I work half day and left the main stream yeshiva and learn 3 times a day and don’t always wear a hat and jacket on the street and I wear a gartel. The last thing I’m doing here with my flip phone is for appearances cuz then I would do what all the others do and sit in bmg and “learn 3 sedarim” and just use a flip phone in public but then still use an iPhone in the bedrooms and what they watch! The list goes on!!!

I switched to a flip phone again!

You have to understand which apps you need and which you don’t need and then you can plan how to use a flip phone. I use the flip phone most of the day and just when needed I use the iPhone for banking and notes. Otherwise I don’t need an iPhone on me anymore it’s just a distraction and doesn’t look right for a Ben torah!

I asked it about why a Sofek should or shouldn’t be Mozei medai vadai. I asked it to explain a few dafim of gemera including tosfos and rashi. I asked it about working on middos and how to write up a letter to someone in a none aggressive way and to make a point. I asked it so many things that it told me I asked too much questions for this hour. I asked it to count till it can’t anymore and interestingly it stopped at 200 and said I can go on and on till infinity but it’s important to know that humans may not understand such complex numbers. To all those questions I asked it gave me answers that the rishonim say and had a full way of communicating back and forth like a chavrusa almost. It wouldn’t give me a poem about Trump or Biden though. Anyway I’m very into this new thing I think it’s amazing what it can provide in seconds.

That’s always the answer and it’s just people hiding the fact they are seeing something they shouldn’t they just simply can’t agree as they want their iPhone for conveniences and not truly being real and making a decision that this iPhone has ways around it which Hashem will ask me after 120 up there and you’ll need a good answer as to why you think it’s ok to look at even just bad pictures or just minor issue. We are not talking about someone with internet access or App Store access I’m talking about someone blocking everything and iPhone still has it’s little loops open Rachmanu letzloin.

An iPhone that’s completely blocked with no internet or just white list and the App Store blocked so you can’t download apps and just kosher apps and explicit blocked on Apple Music and podcasts and you don’t have Spotify which has tons of bad and just email and banking zero games is still a distraction and not clean. There is mini ways around all what I described which makes the phone and issue if you can see a picture that’s not appropriate that’s an issue done nothing to discuss and there is many more of these issues and it makes it a problem and not a good phone to have! Some use a flip phone and then an iPhone or iPad with a data only sim which that is still having these issues just it looks better and is annoying to carry around. Either you accept the flip phone terms or use an iPhone fully kosher which still has issues and therefore should be working on getting rid of it totally! Whoever says they are fine is lying they are looking at something not right or something else is wrong.

    Off topic……

Ya what I’ve heard at Shiva houses it’s incredible how stupid people are. I don’t understand why people say stupid things there. Guess they are trying to comfort them but don’t know how so they just use any words….
It’s not clear to me and I’m sure to many you just want to punch that person and stuff up his mouth to stop talking and saying stupid things.

Yes being single is hard I don’t think that if you’re older means it’s because you’re being too picky it can also be that reason but there is many other reasons. So hearing that should make you want to ignore the guy the same way he says something stupid and you’ll know that he’s wrong cuz you’re own issues or whatever you’re trying to figure out. I personally let things in one ear and out the other right away unless I feel I can gain something from what was said. It takes a lot to be confident in your spot and past decisions and your current state of life and even they say you missed the bashert to feel ok I’m doing what makes sense for me under the guidance of my Rebbi and I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be right now.

Anyway thanks to all the criticizers and trying to be supporters. I’m sorry but we don’t need and won’t listen to you unless it’s helpful!

You’re wondering what a bunch of people that don’t know what they are saying are saying on a topic that a rov needs to answer as there is a million cases and details to each one. This coffee room discussion isn’t getting anywhere.

Are you a rabbi of a shul?

Seems that you’re having an issue being a rabbi you can’t tell them what you’re saying here? Are you scared they will fire you or not listen to what you’re saying? Even if these two points are true and it’s very sad if it is. Why would you be scared at your Purim party if you don’t have these fish and meat boards. You’re just having what you can afford and want at your party and if someone asks you where is the boards then they have an issue and you should just shut them down and they shouldn’t be allowed to join your parties. Who asks a rabbi what they have at their party obviously you can’t afford it you don’t have it and if you can then maybe you don’t want it. It seems the whole community you’re a rabbi for is not letting you say what should be fixed and you’re even scared for your coming Purim party! Good luck!
