This is great quote which I feel many people in the education/schooling system have yet to take to heart.

“Everyone is a genius but if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree it will spend it’s whole life believing it is stupid”

    -Albert Einstein

I’m a consulting detective. The only one in the world. I invented the job

oom- I once started reading the color of magic and hogfather(I think that is what they were called) but I never finished. I didn’t like them that much. Maybe I’ll try again and see how far I get this time.

rtabs – Buy you wife some nice jewelry or perfume and try to subtly hint to her that you want her to dress better or in a different way but at the same time respect her wishes to dress a certain way as that is how many women (myself included) express themselves.

    1) A library with enough books that I would never get bored

    2) Top grades in school so I could go to a good college and get a good job

    3) An endless wardrobe full of clothes

From the destruction and turmoil peace did arise

Gratefulness replaced the pain in their eyes.

To the chessed being done by Jews everywhere

We feel for our brothers deep in our heart

New cloths and food was sent by all

To replace these lost items they answered the call

A Kiddush or Carnival sponsored to help heal

To some it seems small but to the affected it means a great deal

Thank you to all those who contributed

    And the ones who distributed

To those who have nothing it means so much

It gives us hope to which we so desperately clutch.

Remember that in all your sorrow

    Behind the sunset lies tomorrow

The darkest hour come right before the dawn

The light of the sun is never truly gone

The darkest nights give rise to brightest day

Even if everything is looking grey

Light will always conquer the night

And help you in a seemingly endless fight

what happens to a dream deferred?

    Does it dry

Like a raisin in the sun?

    Or fester like a sore-

    And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat

    Or crust over-

    Like a syrupy sweet?

    Maybe it just sags

    Like heavy load.

    Or does it explode?

    On dandelions I still wish

it may be a childish thing

to blow a kiss upon the wind

    and across its tiny wings

    a desire of the heart

    among the flowing breeze

    soaring gently on the wind

its weight is carried with ease

    wishes i dare not say

in hopes that they come true

    whispered on those tendrils sweet

    aspirations are not few

while others wish upon the stars

    for what only heaven brings

i blow kisses upon the wind

my wishes rest on tiny wings

they carry pieces of my heart

    each desire is made anew

    on dandelions i still wish

on their wings i wish for you

Uh.. You have to ask? Duh! There is a problem. A child should never hit a parent unless the parent is trying to cause extreme bodily harm to the child in which case it is self defense.

I suggest Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, A Raisin in the sun(not sure who wrote it), The House on Mango Street, To Kill a Mockingbird, almost anything by Edgar Allen Poe, Peter Pan(the original), Sherlock Holmes mysteries, The Wizard of Oz, The Thief Lord(amazing book),Johnny Tremain(on of my favorites!) and All of the Above(not such great writing but a good message)

    Hope this helps.

    ICOT- very nice

we stood together one heart, one soul

each person shared a common goal

we stood together in achdus, in unity

we stood together in friendship and camaraderie

united we stand now and forever

in a sacred bond that shall never severe

    chasiddish, litvish it did’t matter

    baseball cap or black hatter

we all share one father up above

and each of us He does truly love

I was so inspired at the siyum hashas yesterday. 90,000 people stood together (and danced together) in complete unity. It was amazing! One of the speakers said that the Daf Yomi made us brothers and I thought that the statement couldn’t be more true.

The young man from Mississippi came running into the store and said to his buddy,

“Bubba, somebody just stole your pickup truck from the parking lot!”

Bubba replied, “Did y’all see who it was?”

The young man answered, “I couldn’t tell, but I got the license number.”

A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out

of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph,

enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

“Amazing,” he thought as he flew down I-95, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a Florida State Trooper, blue

lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110,

then 120. Suddenly he thought, “What am I doing? I’m too old for this!”

and pulled over to await the trooper’s arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper got out of his vehicle and walked

up to the Corvette. He looked at his watch, then said, “Sir, my shift

ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a new reason

for speeding–a reason I’ve never before heard — I’ll let you go.”

The old gentleman paused then said: “Three years ago, my wife ran off

with a Florida State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.

“Have a good day, Sir,” replied the trooper.
