☕️coffee addictParticipant
You also can’t switch the day and month on us like that
☕️coffee addictParticipantI don’t know, I haven’t got there yet
☕️coffee addictParticipantno,
the phrase “you could tell…” was going on my whole outlook of chinuch post bar/bas mitzvah because I hope I won’t need to discipline them post bar/bas mitzvah
☕️coffee addictParticipantWhich Halacha?
☕️coffee addictParticipantSupporting tour son post bar/bas mitzvah is considered chesed and not a chiyuv (you can tell I don’t have teenagers yet)
☕️coffee addictParticipantWe had that one before lf, in mitzrayim
☕️coffee addictParticipantJoe,
Nope
☕️coffee addictParticipantNo Joe,
I’m saying after 13/12 they aren’t called children so it has to stop at 12/13
☕️coffee addictParticipantYou forgot red days
☕️coffee addictParticipantJoe
Rebyidd is right you asked about children not son/daughter
☕️coffee addictParticipantVery funny lf,
I differentiated between capitals and non capitals
☕️coffee addictParticipantSqueak,
Lol, actually obamas advisers do the opposite they talk tough and don’t even carry a stick
Joe,
See my comment above about onshim
☕️coffee addictParticipantJoe,
Isn’t carrying it to threaten the child using it?
☕️coffee addictParticipantRebyidd,
With the other hand
Joseph,
Note I didn’t say to use it I just said to carry it/them
Either way one stick should be good enough as long as it’s big enough for all your kids, this is probably the best option
☕️coffee addictParticipantI would like to note Coffee Addict is not the same poster as coffee addict, and doesn’t subscribe to his/her views 🙂
☕️coffee addictParticipantThere’s no chiyuv of chinuch after the child is bar/bas mitzvah which is why you’re patur from their onshim
☕️coffee addictParticipantHuh?
☕️coffee addictParticipantRebyidd,
Numerous sticks
Joe,
When the kid gets bar/bas mitzvahed (after that he/she isn’t your chiyuv of disciplining)
☕️coffee addictParticipantWhat? Huh? Why bring up this post now
☕️coffee addictParticipantJoseph,
It depends how big the kid is
☕️coffee addictParticipantSpeak softly and carry a big stick

GO PATS!!!!
☕️coffee addictParticipantsorry i meant skripka
☕️coffee addictParticipantThen shopping should have asked her, when I’m looking for something people ask me what I’m looking for or I ask around if anybody saw it
☕️coffee addictParticipantSome friend it is if it didn’t tell you where it was and you were looking for it all day!
November 23, 2015 3:14 pm at 3:14 pm in reply to: I know this sounds like a stupid question… #1114038☕️coffee addictParticipantShopping,
Maybe start a new trend and have Israelis come to America for seminary
☕️coffee addictParticipantI’m sorry,
Comparing refugees that aren’t known killers with refugees that are known killers is wrong!
Being Jewish wasn’t associated with being in the mafia today being Muslim is being associated with being a terrorist
You can’t compare one group of people where the minority was bad to another group where a strong minority is bad (key word here is strong)
☕️coffee addictParticipantIt is if there was a low probability of terrorism
Additionally there is a Gemara that if one has compassion where he’s supposed to be cruel he will be cruel where he’s supposed to have compassion
☕️coffee addictParticipantI don’t know.
now you see how it’s possible for them to matir driving on shabbos?
☕️coffee addictParticipantTakahmamash,
If that’s the case don’t give anyone Hakaras hatov because Hashem protects everyone and if not for them then someone else will do it
☕️coffee addictParticipantAvram,
I see my point isn’t clear
Let’s say open orthodoxy eventually had its congregants move to auburban areas then what would happen?
☕️coffee addictParticipantThe Gemara says someone who doesn’t get married by 20 his bones should explode
☕️coffee addictParticipantMammale,
My question “is that wrong” was going on what I was understanding not on their hashkafah
☕️coffee addictParticipantSam2,
From what I understand they say the Torah and Halacha change with the times
Is that wrong?
☕️coffee addictParticipantI know that sam2,
It’s possible that this could be forth coming in the future, anything that they could rationalize as outdated is fair game for them
☕️coffee addictParticipantI just read the hamodia’s article on open orthodoxy today, it’s sickening where their shittos can lead to.
They could drive on shabbos without batting an eyelash and still call themselves orthodox, at least reform an conservative changed their name
☕️coffee addictParticipantI want to ask the oilam what’s your definition of a rasha, what makes a person a rasha?
☕️coffee addictParticipantDy,
That’s not correcting me
Technical,
I hear your point, I can’t judge a person based off one thing however I feel very uncomfortable with that type of person, even though everyone has times where they do stupid self centered things
☕️coffee addictParticipantI understand I might be being too extreme, however to answer technical, the mishnah in pirkei avos says arba’ah MIDOS b’adam and calls one a rasha, it is through a person’s midos that one is seen as a rasha or a tzadik
please correct me if i’m wrong
☕️coffee addictParticipantAnd dy please explain how it’s a poor comparison
☕️coffee addictParticipantRishus comes from being self centered, inconveniencing a lot of people just so YOU could daven with a minyan, which is a dirabonon at best is very self centered
☕️coffee addictParticipantNo it’s not dy,
It’s the same person that would cut in line for any “reason”, double parks his car so HE can daven, just because he wants to daven with a minyan he should inconvenience the security personnel?

November 9, 2015 11:20 am at 11:20 am in reply to: You’re In Charge of Brooklyn Jewry… What Do You Do? #1111352☕️coffee addictParticipantRebyidd,
Wow you’re good!
Anyway, no one says being a light onto the nations means working in the government
November 8, 2015 3:18 pm at 3:18 pm in reply to: Who Would You Elect as Mayor of Coffeetown #1111141☕️coffee addictParticipantIt looks like feivel is the de facto mayor
With a lot of people voting for 80 and the rule of no moderators which he is not
November 8, 2015 2:43 am at 2:43 am in reply to: You’re In Charge of Brooklyn Jewry… What Do You Do? #1111345☕️coffee addictParticipantThere’s nothing that says I cant
November 8, 2015 1:04 am at 1:04 am in reply to: You’re In Charge of Brooklyn Jewry… What Do You Do? #1111343☕️coffee addictParticipantLol, Charlie,
I would too!
☕️coffee addictParticipantApashatayid,
That guy is a self centered rasha
☕️coffee addictParticipantSkripka,
I heard on the radio Fitzpatrick is starting this week
Btw I’m not a jets fan, however I like them more without Rex
