the little i know- you know a lot!! yes what you say is true!! i was fortunate because she really helped me focus on what was important in life to teach my future children iy”H what they need to know and to express what my teacher said to me. Another story i have is from this past year, my halacha teacher always stressed that we should be aware that we are all special. some of us may feel like failures(because we get bad grades(i should tell them this lesson lol), some teachers may not think we dont try hard enough…)or if some ppl may have struggles but were all special and we should always remember that no matter what were going through! by our final which was absolutely murder, he said that if you smiled you would get extra points. he always made sure that we would feel good about ourselves at the end of the day and appreciate ourselves for who we are as a person! he said at his end of the year speech that the goal this year for us as students wasnt just to learn new information but it also was that we should learn to respect ourselves and learn to realize that we are special and once we gain that respect for ourselves and realize that were special-we learned a lot this year!! how often do you come across a teacher like this!!! he literally instituted in us that we are special and we should always realize that!! ahhh im gonna miss him soo much and his class!!!!!

I used to not be so strong academically in elementary school and in one particular subject-Navi-I was particularly weak. I used to fail almost every single test in a certain grade and when i did pass, i got 66’s and 67’s usually. one time there was a kiddush in shul and my teacher came over to my mother and this is what she said(it made me feel so special and it really helped me change academically)”marks do not define_ (me) they are not who she is, and if you were to ask me who she was i would tell you an exceptional girl who tries her best in my class and her efforts really show i wouldnt say she fails all my my tests.” i was right next to my mother and when i heard those few words being said i was crying and it really meant a lot to me knowing that someone does not care about grades, all they care about are the middos and this teacher always tried to help me with tests-gave me english, modified them for me, and it really changed my life. i love this teacher because she saw the potential that i had to become better and she looked past the bad grades and only saw my middos and my neshama. it really meant a lot to me and it still does when i get back bad grades and i could tell it to all of you. MARKS ARE NOT YOU!!!!!

cinderella im fully aware that no school is perfect but because im in the environment that im in right now anything could happen in any school and i know that but i want to be in a school where theres LESS! i dont wanna be surrounded!!!!! so bnos yaakov is an amazing school and im aware of that and i would go but my friend whos in that school as well is convincing me not to and she knows me. also its the end of the year so i cant check out the classes and see what its really like forsure so if i wanted to check it out in feb-march that would have been the prime time to see what its like and to see if its for me!

I have never actually watched jewish star so i cant really understand what everyone is saying about it but if it is a chance for jewish kids, teens and adults to showcase their talent then why not do it? yes it may be replicating non jewish tv shows but this is a chance for jewish people to show what talent they have on a jewish show and not showing it on a goyish one. some adults who want to show their talent to the world not just keeping it at shabbos zemiros but are to old for yeshiva boys choir, what are they supposed to do? sing in front of a few friends and hope everything turns out all right? or these adults can prove their talent to talented people(the judges) or even to more people than just their friends and let their talent out their. me as a girl i dont really have that many options. i dont have a yeshiva boys choir to go on, the women concerts that are out there are for grown up women. sometimes i wish i could be part of a yeshiva girls choir, but thats not happening! so instead of criticizing that the jewish star is replicating the goyish ideas lets just be grateful thats theres a jewish outlet for jewish boys, teens and adults to showcase their g-d given talent in a good way!

wow i have never written so much on a topic before in my life!! 🙂

I will help you to the best of my ability!! but 1 question: the dress code says you could wear colored tops? If you could be careful not to wear anything hot pink or a bright red or anything too flashy.

lol preferably none! literally in the school im in now they talk about boys, which shows theyre up to, what show just came out,etc and i dont want to be in that environment!! im kinda worried that this will affect me and influence me for the worse chas v’shalom. i dont feel the urge to watch these bad movies but i can tell u right now on the top of my head at least 5 tv shows and movies i hear about almost every day that i havent heard of before. i never listened to english music before and now i feel like i need to because everyone else is. u get the picture? i dont like the environment that im in and i really wanna get out!!!

nfgo3-dont worry about that i am just a very happy girl and the only thing i want is to be happy and i want other people to be happy as well! also my word of the week is fantastic(each week i have a different word :))

torah613torah- i dont like my school because it is very hard for me socially. im not saying that if i switch schools everything will be better but at least i can try and do my best to make it work for me. i feel that the most important thing to have in high school is friends and if i dont have that im missing a very important piece. also ive been with practically my whole grade basically since pre 1a and i want new people new faces to try to become friends with. so what im looking for in a school are people that are genuinely sweet, not cliquey(i know that can be hard but to find a school that has less of it as possible), people who dont talk about movies and tv shows all day(also that can be difficult but to have less of it) people who include everybody… ideas like that. these parts are very important for me.

    Thank you so much!
