    Dear Hbs,

A theoretical question holds a theory. It is not meant to hold water. Yet you are drowning in it. If you have a compelling reason to vote for Trump, than share it? What is the endorsement game for? More members of Bush’s cabinet spoke by the DNC than the Trump NC.

    Dear Daas,

The ones quoted in the book, would never admit that they were trying to undermine Traditional Judaism.

The author blatantly attacks upstanding Jews in his book.

The difference is in that the author himself would proudly say he did so.

“And that remix or excision of Hashem and the Torah from Judaism is Zionism.”

I have no idea how that reads as a true statement.

And any Jewish ideology could be accused of the same sin.

    Dear Syag,

Whether it bother me or not, was neither the question or the answer. I was just offering some pieces for your puzzle.

While we are on the topic, in our day these things are computerized. An algorithm predicts the topics that will be most viewed.

    Dear Syag,

I mentioned that the media is not able to keep up on the topic. They can only report what they are fed.

And truth be told, nobody cares anymore. (Russian meddling is old news that happens to be going on right now.)

    Dear Hakatan,

I posted this before. The Satmar Rav Z”tl did not prove anything. He endeavored to demonstrate why he held the way he did. His points require counter points. Not refutations.

Here is the question to all ardent anti Zionists. If the three oaths are halacha, why was it omitted before Herzl? Why did none of the oilem who considered establishing a Jewish state in the 19 century, even bring it up?

In sum, this book has to rewrite the Jewish discourse in all different arenas of thought. Then he says If you are a Zionist you have to completely rewrite Judaism. Well, it did not stop him. So what is the problem?

    Dear Syag,

I am not a Democrat. Maybe that is why I do not see anti Trump or a get rid of Trump for the greater good campaign. To me, this is all truck Washington stuff.

The scope of what Mueller investigated is way beyond the depth of your everyday journalist. The media could only report what Mueller wanted them to report. Other than a few minor leaks from Congress. Only the most seasoned reporters can keep up with the investigation and get a real scoop out of it. More than once, someone looked stupid reporting some breakthrough that dissipated within a few hours.

Robert Mueller is the most respected investigator in Washington. Both sides of the aisle, and all kinds of policymakers agree that he only cases about uncovering facts, and is impartial to the implications. Every administration relies on his work. The only parallel is Kissinger in foreign policy.

Mueller said from the very beginning that his investigation would only focus on Russia. Meaning, even if Trump would explicitly tell the investigation that he cut a deal with Putin to get elected, it would be handed over to the Justice Department and Mueller would continue to pursue what else and who else Russia was interfering with.

This was not widely disseminated, and led to great hand wringing among Trump and his supporters. But ultimately led to major disappointment of his opponents. It was all about Russia interfering in our elections. Something that they have done in dozens of countries.

So why did they wipe their electronics? Well, when that FBI agent lost his career over an unprofessional slip, most of the city wiped their electronics. And they swore to do it again every four or eight years. That probably was the most defining moment of The Trump Presidency.

    Dear Bk,

This has come up a dozen times. Antifa is not political in that there is no aim or goal affiliated with it’s practice/fandom/fortitude/somebody-here-can-come-up-with-a-better-word. Are many of them troublemakers? Sure. There are troublemakers all over the place. Who cares? There are more real concerns than far out groups.

Are you okay battling opponents that have no definition?

My take on all this antifa stuff is that some have no answer for the issues of the day. So they invent opponents that are easy to ecologically contest. You can win the battle against ghosts. I would rather lose to humans.

    Dear One,

We have been through this a dozen times. Antifa cannot be billed out because there is no such movement or organization. It is a cross between a western form of martial arts and punk rock fandom.

Since this has not been getting across, I’ll create an example. Suppose some Dodgers fans who are trained to use ninja knives, kill a Giant’s fan. Nobody would be asking the city of LA to condemn it. And everyone would understand that the Dodgers are ballplayers, and not street warriors. Same here. Antifa is not a political ideology. Politicians do not know of it, any more than journalists tell them.

Your post seems to be about legislative failures. (The President is not capable of wrapping his head around a global crisis. He never knew. He never can know. He could only hear about it. Or watch it on TV. Why blame him?)

This could be blamed on Trump’s overstepping his bounds and undermining Congress. Except that you should admit, that he is expanding on Obama’s model. Maybe Biden could turn back the block a bit.

I think there is a difference. The author intended to write what he wrote. He wants to be portrayed as taking the position the OP ascribed to him. The same may not be true about those he wrote about. I can not say for sure. I have up on the book before he started the fun parts.

    Dear Bored,

CNN is focused on what people say, and the appearance of the matter. In other words, they are aiming at the shallow viewer. The main issues are ignored. This sells better to the left. Because the ignorant conservative simply does not care who offended whom. According to surveys, CNN has a broad viewers because of the gossip.

PS A good example is the Russian interference story. It is a real story. Just not a partisan one.

The term, ‘new world order’ is from the elder Bush’s speech at the U.N. It refers to emerging economies in the undeveloped world. There are atrocious power grabs, all over the globe all the time. Hong Kong was losing their independence before corona. What did you say about it then?

    Dear Ben,

You are right, I am mistaken. That should be amended to that he never set up federal testing. That would have been a better use for the stimulus money. There issues, are about the dysfunction in Washington DC. My point is, if Trump gets credit for what was done right, if also gets the blame for what went wrong. My they is that he deserves neither.

Trump distanced himself from the pandemic for the most part. Cuomo eventually met it head on. I do not agree with Charlie. Nobody ever expected clear policy from Trump. The hope was that he would get stuff done. Maybe he still could. This year was all about impeachment, pandemic, protests, riots, and re-election.
