The meaning of my sentence, while changed accidentally from what I intended to say, is still correct. They were mocking the child and the snack.
Did you accidentally leave out words, thereby changing the meaning of the sentence in a way that it could no longer be understood in its intended meaning? Because if I leave out words at other times, it’s not a double standard if I do it now. Were you implying that it is? I don’t think I understand you.
What I do or don’t do at other times is irrelevant in this case.
Also, there are a lot of things country people know that city people don’t. Arguing that city people are better because they are more educated in city-specific ways is like arguing that the Polish people are smarter than the Greeks because they speak the Polish language better than the Greeks do.
