You miss the point entirely. This thread is about common sense. Antisemitism is on the rise. We have seen it before. We know how it grows and we have seen that that it has never ended well for our people, may the Al-mighty protect us!
Although that cursed nazi Goebbels, ימ”ש, constantly told lies about us, there was some truth when he supposedly said something like “the Jew only takes out an umbrella after it is pouring rain and he is drenched”
The point is to be smart and stay safe, not shortsighted and stupid. We know that the exile will end and all the Jews will return to Israel, but we don’t know when or how it will end. We pray for G-d’s kindness and mercy, but together with that we need to keep our eyes open and see what is going on around us. In my opinion, what is going on downright scary.
You Satmar’s (or whatever you are) try to turn every discussion into one about what you call “Zionist nonsense” and “kefira”. You may even have some sense of satisfaction when you hear the modern anti-Semites clothe their words in anti-Zionism language, as you may think that some way supports your own “anti-Zionist” agenda. If so, you are fools, for while you have an ideological stance based on the Satmar Rebbe זצ”ל (which is very extreme and unaccepted by mainstream observant Jewry, but that is a discussion for a different thread/post) the anti-Semites do not! They only espouse their antisemitism in the language of anti-Zionism because that language has become socially/politically acceptable while antisemitism (in most frameworks at least) has not. But make no mistake, just like the Nazis laughed and then murdered the secular/reform Jews in Germany who protested that they were “Germans”, so too the modern anti-Semites who clothe their words in anti-Zionism language actually hate the Jews and would do the same if they had the chance, G-d forbid – also to YOU!
And if you in addition actually support these modern anti-Semites in any way, shape, or form, then you are worse than fools – you are actually haters of and traitors to our people.
Back to the point, which is to be smart and stay safe, and not to be shortsighted or stupid.
We all believe and know that the exile will end and all the Jews will return to Israel, but we don’t know when or how it will end. We pray for G-d’s kindness and mercy, but together with that we need to keep our eyes open and see what is going on around us, and remember history. In my opinion, the reality of what is going on downright scary.
Antisemitism is on the rise all over the world. Each day brings more news of antisemitic political victories and attacks against Jews and Jewish institutions. The social media is full of antisemitism. IT’S GROWING! IT’S BECOMING LESS SAFE! IT’S SCARY! We are not allowed to rely on miracles. Our sages say “who is wise, ha’roeh et ha’nolad – he who sees and understand from what he sees how things normally progress”. We are all destined to come home to Eretz Yisrael. Why wait? If you are adults who cannot easily uproot – why not educate the youth to make their lives in Eretz Yisrael?
Be wise, not stupid.
May 29, 2026 11:36 am at 11:36 am in reply to: Perhaps the time has come to “walk the walk” #2554886ThinkingCapParticipantI am not surprised.
I brought up a subject that contains degree of uncomfortability, and people tend to avoid participating in discussions that make them feel uncomfortable.
If someone has a nice life, a nice house, a nice job (ie. they’re quite “comfy”), they prefer not to address an issue that suggests giving that up, making an upheaval, etc…
It’s human nature.
On the other hand, intelligent people understand that is unwise to stick your head in the sand and ignore reality, as uncomfortable as that reality may be.
I say look the reality in the eye and look at history.
Understand that G-d’s Torah says that the exile will eventually come to an end and all Jews will move to Israel.
We all pray that this process should come about with Chessed and Rachamim, but history has shown that life for Jews in the exile, while there have been periods of pleasantness – it has never remained that way.
The sudden rise in anti-semitism all over the world – including the USA – since the murderous pogrom against the Jews in Israel on Oct 7, 2023 is a reality. It is an ominous sign that all Jews of all stripes and persuasions should take notice of and plan accordingly.
I don’t write these words lightly. I am not trying to be a harbinger of doom – Chas V’Shalom. I pray to G-d for the safety of all of our people everywhere, and pray that Moshiach should immediately redeem us and that it should all be with Chessed and Rachamim.
Yet I am very concerned – the reality is downright scary and we are not allowed to rely on miracles. It also concerns me that so few speak out. Our sages say “who is wise, ha’roeh et ha’nolad – he who sees and understand from what he sees how things normally progress”
ThinkingCapParticipantAs we approach Shavuot and re-experience the festival of G-d’s giving us His Torah, it is important to remember that G-d’s plan was to bring us afterwards into Eretz Yisrael from where His Divine Light would then light up the entire world and usher in Moshiach’s coming. Through the sin of the spies “bad mouthing” G-d’s holy land meant for us (Eretz Yisrael – the land of Yisrael) and our lack of faith in G-d’s promise we were delayed 40 years. Afterwards, through our continual misdeeds our Beit HaMikdash was eventually destroyed and we were exiled from our land. We came back after 40 years, built the second Beis HaMikdash and then later on – in the times of the Romans and as a result of due to causeless hatred – it too was destroyed and we were again exiled from our land.
For close to 2,000 years we were hounded, persecuted, and murdered – and prayed three times a day to return. Around 200 years ago, our people began to return to the land, resettle and rebuild it. Because the founders of the movement to resettle Eretz Yisrael were for the most part secular, many of the leaders of the Torah world were against the movement – known as Zionism (there were also ideological reasons against Zionism presented by the Rebbe of Satmar which his chassidim accepted and perhaps others too)
The Jew hatred of our 2000 year exile culminated in the Holocaust where a third of our people were systematically murdered in the cruelest and most horrifying ways. A few years later, the modern State of Israel, became a reality. At that time, all of the Gedolei Yisrael except the followers of the Rebbe of Satmar’s ideology changed their tune – either to help protect the Jews living in the newly established state and/or to influence the government in manners of Torah and Mitzvot – both practical reasons rooted in love of our people and common sense.
I did not think for a moment that this thread would influence the fanatical haters of Israel whom have already began to respond to this thread (with irrelevant posts) and whom I have found to be (on this site) unfortunately closed-minded individuals with an agenda they feel compelled to push.
My intention in opening this thread was born of the same practical reasons – love of our people and common sense.
Anti-semitism is on the rise globally. We have seen it raise its ugly head before and we know that it doesn’t respond to logic and that the Jew is always the scapegoat. Now it”s propelled by radical Islam, the radical left (who are already the defining face of the Democrat party), and the radical right.
G-d’s plan to bring us back to Eretz Yisrael may have been delayed, but it never changed. All of the Jewish people will eventually return to the land.
So i ask Why wait?and encourage all to start making plans to come and influence the youth for whom it will be much easier as they are not yet rooted down.
May we merit to Moshiach’s imminent arrival, the building of the 3rd Beit HaMikdash, and the entire world “with G-d’s knowledge as the water covers the sea”
Chag Samayach!
April 5, 2026 12:25 am at 12:25 am in reply to: The antizionism amongst religious Jews has no legitimate detractors #2532878ThinkingCapParticipanti have read a number of the posts in this thread. Many bring proofs against your premise from sefarim and Tzaddikim but you either ignore or discredit them and often insult the one responding. That type of behavior shows that you are simply a closed minded individual with an agenda you feel compelled to push. Like I said, above, you have become so accustomed to spewing hatred and poison that in your tunnel vision you probably don’t even realize the damage you cause and in your arrogance don’t even care. You are a fanatic who does not draw Jews close to their Father in heaven but pushes them away, You would do yourself a great favor if you recognized that you have connected yourself to an energy filled with hate and poison, a twisted version of Torah that does not reflect its ways of “pleasantness” and its paths of “peace”, for recognition of the illness is the first step in healung. Until then, do us all a favor and just shut your mouth from spewing the hatred and poison you have become so accustomed to spew.

Like I said, you have become accustomed to spew hatred and poison. This is what you know and this is what you do. You brand anyone unlike you as not a member of the Jewish people. Hashem doesn’t like that. He loves all of His children without exception, even those who currently are unobservant, and waits and desires their return to Him. He also wants His children to love one another, not hate! With all you may know, you miss the main point. How dare you speak so evily about our Jewish brethren, G-d’s precious children!

How can there be smart people who even consider this to be a viable option? Maybe they just aren’t too smart.March 29, 2026 11:21 pm at 11:21 pm in reply to: The antizionism amongst religious Jews has no legitimate detractors #2531466ThinkingCapParticipantIt appears to me that so many of you anti-zionist Jews live in your insular communities with your heads in the sand and have no idea as to what is actually going on in the Jewish world and the part Hashem has chosen the renewed Jewish state in Eretz Yisrael to play in His grand plan that will soon lead to the full redemption bez”H. It appears to me that you thrive off of a negative energy based on hatred, contempt and disgust – middos that not only prevent you from having even a minimum decency of harkaras ha’tov toward those fighting and dying for the survival of the Jewish people in Eretz Yisrael – including the survival of your own communities, but also pushes away practically every Jew who is not like you. It appears to me that your black and white world is so shallow that you have nothing really to offer the Jewish people other than your own Torah study, mitzvah performance, acts of kindness (mostly only with those whom you deem fit to receive your kindnesses) and the perpetuation of your insular communities. Certainly you should keep serving Hashem, and if you are unable to stretch your souls and see past the ways you were taught, then continue serving Him that way, but do me and the rest of the Jewish world who puts up with you and your disgusting attitudes to your fellow Jews who are not like you a favor and close your mouths from spewing the terrible poison you have become so accustomed to spew.
February 13, 2026 10:56 am at 10:56 am in reply to: Sharing the burden – Why Israel needs Chareidim to survive. #2511856ThinkingCapParticipantThe general charedi mindset is separation. Yes, the key to a future jewish majority that is very seperated from everyone else. I get the reasons, but the mindset not only creates a disconnect from non chardonnay society, it produces a disconnect within charedi society itself, between those who succeed in learning (or at least desire to learn even if they do not) and those who do not suceed so much) and those who do not. “The rest,” who form the majority are stuck – with no marketable education, their job opportunities are limited and most will be poor. Rav Steinerman zt”l, saw the situation for whatit was it was (and still is) and created forward tinkling programs to integrate “The rest” into the workforce, but he was stoned for what many considered and still consider his dangerous ideas. Very sad for all those who all those who are stuck….
ThinkingCapParticipantPerhaps the arranged system of meeting no longer works like it used to and many young adults feel stuck in a system their parents and educators desire but they do not. If so, then the arranged match system is part of the problem and alternatives needs to be found for potential partners to meet more naturally while still maintaining standards of tznius.

They have chosen the wrong side (unless they are just a bunch of brainwashashed idiots) and a disgrace to our people.
