    Teddy Roosevelt.

I really like how he handled the US Economy and how he dealt with trusts. He was in my opinion one of the best presidents ever.

Can you please explain why walking without a hat and a jacket is un-frum?

You were hot so you took off your hat and jacket like a NORMAL person. How does this make you not frum?

So true. We need to have more achdus. I know that everyone thinks that they are right but its not a reason to start hating each other. after all to quote Rodney King “Can we all just get along please”.

Part of the problem is that we Daven 3 times every day and its hard for most people to not have davening be a routine. One has to come up with ways to keep Davening “fresh”. That being said I think one way to help overcome this is for a person to take 5-10 minutes a day to read the english of the words or a sefer on davening. That way one will learn more about davening and hopefully it will be “fresher”.

in reply to: Is it assur to use "Find my iPhone" to see where someone is? #961010

Is it Your Iphone? If it is there seems to be nothing wrong with that. A person wants to know what is going on with his stuff.

If it is someone else’s Iphone then I wouldn’t recommend it because it is an invasion of privacy (which would also be a torah issur due to the fact that you follow the laws of the country you live in)

And waht you are talking about is a takana Rabanu Gershon to not go through other people’s mail. (used to be letters then but would apply to E-mail)

There is nothing wrong with being inspired by a non jew. Do we have to be totally isolated that we cant even notice what the non jews around us are going through and what they acomplish? Why shouldnt i notice when one of God’s creations overcomes a great struggle. Do you think thats what God would want? For me to say “I cant get inspired from him because he’s not jewish”. I’ll up it even further what if they are not a religious jew? can i get inspired from them? Or do we all have to be religious Jews? Wait what if that person is not from my sect, can I get inspired from them?

You see by taking your arguments one step further it just looks ridiculous. But i guess you were just raised in an elitist home that looks down on everyone else.

Personally I’m inspired by Roberto Clemente in that he was a really good person who never forgot where he came from and was always trying to help people.

Mods: Why when I say that i am going to have a Gun when im older and that my Shul has a gun club do you censor it??? I’m not lying when I say that my shul has one and we are a normal orthodox shul in a smaller jewish community. We are in a state that does have stricter gun laws (Pennsylvania) and yet we still have a gun club. There is nothing wrong about that and I have no idea why you would censor something like that.

I understand all about Gun safety and i believe in stricter background checks but this topic is about jews owning guns and by saying that my shul has a gun club shows that I am ok with it. I did not post anything off topic and there is no reason why you deleted my post. I am even showing how its accepted in my community.

If you are talking about the diet they follow it because it works.

If you want a more jewish answer then they listen to it because it is Torah.
