    Hello Everyone,

At this special time before Yom HaKadosh, I’m taking this opportunity to beg forgiveness from ALL posters, people whom I dealt with not such a pleasant manner. I’m trying to better myself. I’ll try hard to be civil, gentle, peaceful, gracious. Again please be mochel me (and any other S/N I may happen to have <gasp!>). ESP ARIES, and OOMIS, our highly respected personalities here, whom I have regretfully at times tangled with.

    Thank you.

As for me, I’m mochel B’lev Shalem any and all who have hurt me, whether in speech, writing, or otherwise. Whether they’re contrite or not, even if the’ll continue to hurt – ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!

    ??? ???? ??? ??? ?????!!

A good, sweet, fulfilling year to ALL!!

Right you are. He doesn’t need part time helpers. Or detractors, or imitators.

If ALL of Klal Yisroel is shivering in awe and trepidation for the ???? ???? and one individual chooses to go elsewhere for “uplifting swaying and dancing” that is his own choice. To publicly announce and proclaim it on a “Torah” oriented site and then claim that all of Klal Yisroel have a ‘”Holier than Thou” attitude’ toward them?!? HaShem is our judge too.

Why choose a site as hallowed as the YESHIVA WORLD to mitigate and lessen the effect and atmosphere of ???? ????? Isn’t that what ???? ?????? are all about???

Hm.. now that you mentioned it, I think I’ll pass up the opportunity to be “swaying and singing together, some dancing” by Selichos. I think I’ll opt for a Jewish shul, humbly and contritely beg HaShem for Selichah and Kapara. With Achdus. And tears.

    and to all..

This reminds me of a scene of Kunda’s Daring Disguise:

“Minister of Agriculture, what do you know about circumcision?…” Here we have this egoist of a Mayor (one who revised law to get himself an additional term, re-revised it so that no one else should) giving his worthless deyos on health issues.

    Mr. Mayor! Plow our snow!!!

1.Why are the Chasidim called Stoliners rather than Karliners?

Not all Chasidim are called Stoliners.

2.Why is the name sometimes reversed as Stolin-Karlin?

Because this chasidus, derech avodah, was adopted, effected by the Rebbes and communities of these two towns, villages. At one time here another time there. It actually started in Karlin, then the center switched a few times. (In America, they’re generally called Karlin-Stolin and Stolin for short, in Eretz Yisroel they’re generally called Stolin-Karlin, Karlin for short)

3.Are they somehow more affiliated with Pinsk-Karlin

Actually the reverse, that community is a break-away from the main (discussion not suitable for the hallowed confines of the YWCR)

4.Why do they use the Litvish havara rather than the Chasidish havara?

As was pointed out these towns were in ‘Lita’. There is no real Chasidish havara, chasidic communities of the Polish / Galician / Hungarian regions speak with their local accent. Same with the chasidic towns of Lita / Russia. (Skver, for instance once spoke with a Russian havara) I don’t think the Baal Shem Tov or the Maggid spoke with a Galician havara.

5.Is it correct that they are one of the four original Chasiduses

That may be the case. What is interesting to note is that in earlier times, Chasidim as a whole were generally known as or called Karliners. ???????. That may either be because they were from the very first disciples, one of the first to forge a derech in avodas HaShem, or because of it’s great zest, fervor, fiery approach to Torah and Tefillah. (they were literally the loudest!)

The exact function of “chai rotel” I don’t know but I do know that it is a place and time opportune for all sorts of yeshuos, from the time of Rishonim. Many mentioned it in their seforim, about the power of the day coupled with a pledge.

Aries: What makes you think I’m a Chassan? (boys shouldn’t be looking..)

It’s just your overzealous defending and protecting womankind from an imaginary foe – an alien, untamed, unrefined ‘briah’ known as man, that gets to me. Sometimes.

It’s the man’s fault: He should read up.. He should refine himself. He shouldn’t be acting as a boorish pig.. He’s obviously not a female.. Are you The Great Female Defender?

HaShem made both versions. Each with their own set of maalos and otherwise. No need to bash one, or compare one to the other.

No. Don’t get me wrong. I truly enjoy your great sagacious advice and encouragement (free of charge). PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!! It’s just your constant slighting of one version of mankind, sticking in some remark towards that effect, that rubs me the wrong way. I know a lot of males, fine and upstanding ones, who somehow don’t feel the need to constantly belittle females.

Aries: – “Women in general are givers ..”

Highly doubt that. In Chazal they’re known as ‘mekabel’, it’s the man who is ‘mashpia’. (Isn’t it the man who’s supposed to open the door for a lady, shlep her bags, guve up his seat, take out her garbage, operate the restroom seat, shower her with an abundance of attention, endless patience, put up with and try to comprehend any kind of mood she’s currently in?)

Women are actually converters. As Chazal point out. A man brings home wheat. Will he chew it? No, it’s the women who will have it grinded, mixed, kneaded etc. Same with any and all other issues. The man provides the ‘dough’, the woman turns it into something edible, usable. This is what is meant by ‘ezer kenegdo’.

It’s very apparent the difference of the kind of simcha my edele, heimish style produces than that of the rest of the rock/jazz/bumish sort (junk/noise). You can actually see it in the faces of the attendees, dancing and participating in true Yiddishe simcha. Don’t get me wrong, it is lively, full of deep bass and middles too, but it’s bent on solely Yiddishe taam. Those who do hire me, do so because they want that pure Yiddish taste, unblemished with the advance of all popular goyish-style singers and songs.

There’s a Kehila I perform at generally one Yom Tov time, people come in to join, not to hear or watch my advanced instruments / machinery (very obsolete), it’s because of my choice of songs and pure Yiddish taste. I’m not ready to give it up!

I may have an Eizena Kup, but I’m regretfully no talmid chacham. What I wrote just seemed to me that way.

Anyway, getting to the point, Satan had to leave him because in Shamayim they didn’t want him to be worth ???? ???. That’s all. Not for succumbing but for the actual action. Or for the embarrassment for those who didn’t know that it was the satan out in his full glory.

Whereas her nisayon was a regular man made one. They were not machriz ????? ??????? ???????.

He did not fail. Satan himself, with the koach of his Torah, came to his rescue.

Even at the onset, he wasn’t contradicting any Torah idea, he was just mislotzez bovrei avera. Whereas in the other case she was ridiculing a Torah idea. Whether she did or did not actually sin (don’t recall the inyan right now), that’s not the issues. But it wasn’t her Torah to the rescue.

But there’s another issue here. Sometimes HaShem sends an insurmountable temptation for reason known only to Him. Sometimes we too understand a bit. That’s what happened at the story of Yehudah and Tamer. He didn’t have any ‘shaychus’, connection to that episode. So HaShem turned up the heat. He motivated Yehuda’s senses and lusts just for that outcome. SO SAYS THE MEDRASH!

That’s exactly what happened at this Tanna’s ‘test’. ??? ??? ?????, when he’s given the go-ahead, we can be assured he’s doing it with all his capabilities. So I don’t think it was a test (like Rav Amram Chasidah), rather just to prove a point (not to be mislotzez bovrei avera).

Again. It was my BAD LUCK to have stumbled upon your terrible post (now B”H removed).

I’ll have you know. A Tana has his mind and actions directly connected to HaShem. There’s no ‘machlokes’ here. That was Toras HaShem. Exactly why? Your questions? I don’t know. I don’t have answers to them right now. (Even if I would, I would not post them here – maybe they’re not fit for female consumption!) But that’s not how a believing Jew deals with his Elders/Gedolim. When a Jew (male) learns, and finds something difficult, he ‘plugs away’, ‘shvitzes’ and ‘hurravas’ until he understands. Somtimes it takes a few minutes, somtimes hours. Other times through davening and tears.

Oh, and btw, this Tana who you’re so disparaged, once found it in His Torah to have a woman spit into his face ????? ???? ??? ??? ?????. Gates to wisdom and understanding of entire creation were open to him. He understood the emotional makeup of the separate genders. Numerous times in Mishna and Gemara we find Takanos for the welfare of women. Women fared far better then than in today’s society with all ‘movements’ and ‘rights’ notwithstanding.

I have today gained another live ‘pshat’ and understanding in the meaning of ?? ????? ??? ???? ????? ????? ??????.

To you oomis: Jewishness, Torah and its laws are not up for emotional debate. You either accept Toras HaShem – as handed down from Sinai, or you join the others…

DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU’VE DISPARAGED ???? A Tana, no less!! How much Torah learning caused you to do that?? Before taking to the keyboard and broadcasting you venom on HASHEM, His Torah and His closest, might I suggest you do a little research on who you’re writing about.

    ???? ??????

    (hey, wuzzat?)

If you’re Jewish and orthodox, I suggest you start doing teshuva immediately for this most greatest chilul HaShem and bizui Talmid Chacham. In times past, a person would be put in Cherem for less offenses.

Actually the Gemarah ponders this question.

    ??? ??? ??? .. ???? ??? .. ???? ???? ?????

So we do Ratzon HaShem by marrying. For incentive he made them ??? ??? ??? ???? because ??? ??? ??? ?????.

It’s not me, it’s a medrash. ?? ??? ??? ???? ?? ???, ??? ??? ?????? ??? ?????. If you ever wonder, why the natural urge (- drive), what’s it purpose in this world. Of course it’s one of the biggest nosyonos of a man, but HaShem wouldn’t have created it JUST for tempting and testing a man. The answer is, without it man would not get married. Period. It’s not worth it financially, spiritually and physically. Why bother? So HaShem made this great miracle of attraction to set things in motion. Think about it – it’s a glue created by miracle. ???? ???? ???. Chazal in times of Anshei K’neses Hagdolah came to realize this importance, when they tried to do away with this greatest yetzer.

Nowadays, the selfish people of the decaying society grab the urge but throw away the commitment. ???? ?? ????? ???? ?? ????, they go after all lusts (natural and unnatural) but don’t marry. Or marry selfishly and divorce when initial attraction wears. SAD! Chazal say that Yaakov Avinu had initially wanted to divorce Leah (for his Holy reasons), so HaShem hurriedly sent children her way. Yaakov Avinu then said “How can I send away the Mother of these?”. He worked it out – eventually she stayed as the ???? ????. How differently than today’s selfish ones. WE HAVE A LOT TO LEARN!

It appears that you need a work-over in your Emunas Tzadikim. One musmach enough to answer your sha’alos knows how to answer you a lot better than you think. A true godol, one who answers sha’alos as to those you are seeking, has a much broader look than our narrow minds. He stands at a higher plane. He may very well not know the minute intricate details of your business, but he doesn’t need that to be able to guide you.

A moshol was once explained on this matter. There was someone in a forest lost. Surrounded by trees in all directions, he couldn’t find his way out. Nearby there was this guard in a tall tower, who helped direct him out. This sentry did not need to know the surface of the forest, the path etc. He had a broader vision. He merely needed to give direction.

    1) Todays girls forgot how to operate a door handle?? Did it ever occur that maybe, just maybe, the princess in questions should show SOME manners, and offer to hold open a door?!?

    2) Yes/ It IS halacha. A man (male, boy bochur or man) does not walk behind a woman. HIS OWN TOO! To do so is boorishness. Any modern-day ‘gemutlichkeit’ is not correct middos. <<BOMBSHELL>> We are commanded in our Torah to wipe out amalek. ‘What?!’, you counter, how could you do such a thing. While I can agree with you “There is nothing like a dame….”, I’d like to, with your permission of course, disagree on your constant “a female is on a higher lever – she doesn’t need so many mitzvohs” concept. I don’t think that is true. No such illusion to that in all Medrashim, all of Talmud (at least bavli) etc. It’s like saying men really have the babies, it’s just that..(they leave the job for their partners) Or the night is really light, it’s just that we don’t need it’s light.

No doubt this conception was by modern day movements, to pacify… Women are not holier, most don’t learn Torah, don’t daven three times a day – struggling through any weather Hashem sends as a test. Women do not have the kedusha acquired through overcoming a powerful yetzer, an urge that HaShem saw fit to confine to males only. Chazal say where there is a fencing of immorality – there is Kedusha. Kedusha comes from learning torah and doing mitzvos. (Rashi says ???? ????, a person who works acquires Shleimus) A woman shares in schar by doing her share – not necessarily sharing the same Shleimus. A woman may have other mitzvos to acquire kedusha – shleimus, but a man definitely has more opportunities.

A woman doesn’t have so many mitzvos – because it’s not her job. Period. HaShem’s symphony (This here world) can only be conducted when each performer is doing their job to the fullest.

There are no extra mitzvos for women over men.

Also I don’t think a woman attains the same Kedusha as a man doing mitzvos, learning Torah, its just not her Tafkid. Kedusha attained through mitzvos can only be done doing them – ??? ????? ???????. Also ???? ?? ???? ???????. That why men say ??? ???? ??? the privilege to do mitzvos. A lady doesn’t say ??? ???? ???! Just ????? ?????? to do Ratzon HaShem. Just as men don’t have child rearing pains and tribulations, women don’t have, and cannot understand nisyonos and temptations a man has. That is Kedusha – ??? ???? – ???? ?????.
