    oh shreck!- kudus to u.

i cannot say i understand everything that is written here, but what i would like to add is that the Chofetz Chaim in his time he owned a store he was a store owner but yet he was the Chofetz Chaim. what I learned from my rebbeim was in those times people were on a much higher level tahat they were able to do both and it would not detract from their concentration with learning ( SOMEONE WHO has never learned a daf gemora cannot understand this- it is extremely hard to have ones mind fully immersed in Torah if he has other worries) , and almost all of klal yisrael worked and learned, but now adays there are so few relgious Jews in the world. those living in the helige BP or Jeru might not feel it but relation to the world there are VERY VERY few people who are actually shomer torah or mitvos let alone learning TORAH! so taht is why teh Rabbonim are distressed abut this….it menas that those who wish to dedicate their lives to Torah – Which is very much needed ( bcz not enough Jews in teh world learning Torah) are now being forced to go to the army. again someone who was never in the atmosphere or walls of a yeshiva cannot fully understand what Torah learning does and what purety it bestows. taking a boy who wants to be immersed in the word of G-d all day long and forcing him to go to the army is a YIDDISHE disastor.

=) I dont say good shabbos to them they say it to me….and i cant say i dont say it back…but as my shtark chavrusah would say..” nu why were u looking??..keep ur eyes on the street, and no one will say gs to u”…it only happens( in the places that it is not typical to say gut shabbos to people) when the other person looks eye to eye to the other person..in one of those akward momments.so try and keep your eyes on the street, and if it comes to that if you are NOT dressed like a yeshiva bochur you can quickly say it(my opinion)no prob. but if you are you dont have to say it and nothing will happen, people understand. Again this in a place where it is not typical to say good shsbbos to random people. OUT OF TOWN IT IS MUTAR TO SAY BACK TO SOMEONE GOODSHABBOS OR SAY GOOD SHABBOS TO THEM FIRST….BUT QUICKLY!- teshuvus m.t

As a whole we gotta figure somthin out. As a bachur I go there, because I need things,a nd its close to my yeshiva. The girls know that and should be respectful when they go. Also geula is suppose to be a very tznius place….I never dreamend it would be this bad.

( my friend is lookingover my shoulder at what Im writing right now) He disagrees- he loves it, and hopes it continue.

I have alot to say on this matter- please respond if this is a topic you would like to discuss, because I have done alot of in depth study on this. Before I start, please clarify ” rather just regular people who have hard nisyonos and dont like them. its no big deal, but i still dont think its healthy”If the people do not like the nisyonos than why do they not want Moshiach to come?

The alter Mekelm has a beautiful answer. He writes that bnai yisroel understood that everything even teva is a neis. If Hashem wills it the light wouldn’t have even lasted for one day. They were able to look into a Maaseh that seemed like teva and they were able to realize that not only was the 7 days the oil laste for was a neis rather it was even the first day. He writes that anything that happens in life there are two ways to look at it.1) that it’s stam a mikreh something that happened BUT from the fact that we have 8 days and not 7 we learn that a person should look at things that happen in the second way.2)you can look at itthrough a ruchnyis hashkofeh and a that it has a ruchnyis Aliya to it. Nothing hapens by chance there is always something you can Learn from it. A freilachin chanuka coffee room. Lol and stop thinking I’m a troll!

Haha avadeh gambling is not part of chanuka…. But who cares it fun and when done with your family it keeps us teenagers off the street…but ya gotta be careful. If your playing foreal be prepared to lose alot of gelt.and yea parents dont encourage this. If the kids play it themselves, and you can’t steer them away from the game properly don’t freak. But it’s not a good habit

I really hope this isnt a joke. I mamish have no time…but I couldnt help but want to help you after reading a few of your posts Im no psychologist or therapist, or even old wise man, but what i can tell you is like this. First of all you gotta be yourself, and no matter how zany, nerdy or weird you are people will like you if you are you.(and plus trying to be someone else wont make you truthfully happy) As long as your not a seriously (like its written all over your face every second of the day) depressed, annoying, mean, easily angered person I Dont see why people would want to stay away from you. If your an overall really nice guy, but just look like a nerd in the way you dress or act.. sooo what???? the people who wouldnt want to be friends with you are people you dont want to be friends with, ( waaaay to superficial). Also you gotta realize that REAL relationships with people dont just happen you have to work on them! as “nerdy” as that sounds. If you see someone you once had a nice chat with, and you think to yourself that you wouldnt mind being their friends..than go up to them, and ask them if they would want to chill with you. Also just a massive general thing to know is WHEN YOU GIVE YOU GET. try being EXTRA nice to people go out of your way for them( dont get stepped all over) but just try to be nice. do chasadim.. and yea most importantly DAVEN FOR SIYATA DISHMAYA. there are many people out there who are in need of a friend… they are in the same situation as you!! your not alone bro

This thread makes me sad. I hate to have to focus on chestoinois. So instead of talking about where it apears more Nd in which circles, everyone just try To take this to heart nd if Ur someone who does that stop it! Nd enforce it with Ur children.:) Nd u never know who will set what u did it can make the biggest kiddush Hashem, most non Jews when they take something off the shelves they don’t go to put it bck, but we are a nation raised above everyone else. Verrumantanu mekol haleshoins. A non Jew can see u do that Nd say wow Jews are amazing! Also for a Jew to see they might b inspired to act in the same way. We can take this thread to a whole new level.!!!:)

I always had that in the back if my mind, but never got around to saying it like you did! Good job! And for some reason I see it MUCH less in out of town communities .the parents tell their kids go put it back on the shelf! Also from people who are full time learners they and their children don’t act like that!I wonder if anyone can pinpoint what it is. And say it better. Like the people I see acting like this, are people who think everything is coming to them. And they are to cought up in themselves an what they are doing to care about anyone else.
