popa_bar_abbaParticipant
Am I good at this?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantNo, I think you are that dude’s wife. What makes you think it only happened once to that guy?
And I’m glad you came to give your side of the story. You can just continue your husband’s thread if you want.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantare you this guy’s wife? http://theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/can-a-lady-be-too-tznius
popa_bar_abbaParticipantPSA: If you’ve never been approached in the street, you are ugly.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantOh yes, no trolls here. Don’t mind my club.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantoomis, you are correct.
Reminds me of the old fiddler on the roof rabbi, where he tells the first guy he is right, then the second guy he is right, then the talmid sitting who asks how that can be that he is right, then the second talmid who asks how THAT can be that he is also right, then the third talmid who asks how THAT can be that he is also right, and then they take him away to a loony bin (read, the CR).
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol WIY, yes, greek yogurt is presumably from greek cultures.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantForgot to ask? why would I think to ask? Do I ask if today is daf 17, or do I assume that since yesterday was 16 that today is in fact 17? (It is, of rosh hashana, and it said you will all be judged for not telling me)
popa_bar_abbaParticipantThat’s idiotic.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantIt makes sense that smart people would be afraid they are really stupid, because they are surrounded by stupid people so they would think that they are probably like everyone else.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantbest part, worst part, but who’s counting
popa_bar_abbaParticipantAsk if it costs more or less
popa_bar_abbaParticipantGood idea. And the title of this thread should be “Seminary Discussions Master Thread”
popa_bar_abbaParticipantThis makes no sense. If women really want to be just like men, they should not need their own siddur–they should use the men’s siddur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
popa_bar_abbaParticipantNo I’m planning to change over at page 22 where both start the second perek respectively.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantFor the record. In the pejorative “big fat jerk”, the word big and fat are qualifying the word jerk. The alternative would be if it said “big, fat, jerk”, in which case the person would be all 3 of big, fat and a jerk.
Thus, it is saying that you are are very much of a jerk–not that you are a big fat person who is also a jerk.
HTH
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol redleg
popa_bar_abbaParticipantIch bin ein chaim berliner
popa_bar_abbaParticipantThis thread is offensive to big fat jerks who didn’t tell me they were skipping rosh hashana.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantThree people were arguing over which one of them was in the Torah. One’s name was Mukdam, one’s name was meuchar, and the last one’s name was Robert.
And Robert proved it to them, because ein mukdam u’meuchar b’torah!!
No? Not funny?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantGo on a turkey shoot
popa_bar_abbaParticipantYou need another siddur?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol
November 24, 2013 6:23 pm at 6:23 pm in reply to: Passport Pictures for Seminary Applications #988937popa_bar_abbaParticipantAsking for pictures is sick. Seminaries ask for pictures because they want to have a good ratio of girls getting married soon after seminary, so they pick the prettiest girls. I personally know that they often sell the folder of pictures to shadchanim and prominent politicians like Mitt Romney.
Think about it. They ask for a picture from the side also? What, to make sure you are really thin and not just hiding behind a pillar?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol thanks
popa_bar_abbaParticipantWritersoul: the “big” is lashon sagi nahor
popa_bar_abbaParticipantNo, I don’t live under a rock. I interact with many people right here. How was I supposed to know they are all big fat jerks?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantSo far, I’m talking to everyone but torah who wasn’t told either. I’m sorry if you didn’t think you were fat before.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantAnyone going to the CC dinner tomorrow? I really wanted to go, some very good friends of mine are getting semicha’d. But I’m not.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantWhose the am haaretz? The people who skipped rosh hashana? Or the people who learn in order like Hashem said to.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantActually, the insults are necessary, even if not in jest.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantPig fat
popa_bar_abbaParticipantFine, so you’re not a jerk. But the rest of you are!
popa_bar_abbaParticipantThe coffee cake was excellent. It had a cinnamon swirl in it, and was just what I needed shalosh shudes time after a big cholent for lunch.
(Don’t tell my husband, but I poured some of my pickle beer in while he wasn’t looking)
popa_bar_abbaParticipantUpdate: I ate the mango chobani. Ny notes are below:
Taste: very good, nice mango flavor well balanced by the yogurt.
Consistency:Good, appoximately the consistency of horse manure on a hot day.
Color: cow urine, after mixing in the mango.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantPicklebeer goes very well with coffee cake. I’ll let you all know how the coffee cake was after shabbos.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantI’d grab their phone and break it. And then break their nose for good measure.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantWould you say CC in brooklyn is more like ner israel than like a regular CC?
November 21, 2013 10:51 pm at 10:51 pm in reply to: Withholding a get vs. Withholding children #988320popa_bar_abbaParticipantTruthsharer: giving a get makes the shechina cry! I am surprised that you coulf think there ever IS a justification for it!
(Yah, my comment is as reasonable as yours)
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol
popa_bar_abbaParticipantIf you do a mitzva because you have OCD, is that the type of shelo l’shma that leads to l’shma?
November 21, 2013 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm in reply to: Withholding a get vs. Withholding children #988309popa_bar_abbaParticipantWithholding a get vs. Withholding children
Your title makes it sound like a choice. Why can’t they just do both?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantI hear it has Norman
November 21, 2013 6:08 pm at 6:08 pm in reply to: Withholding a get vs. Withholding children #988306popa_bar_abbaParticipantVery often the wife withholds visiting rights because the ex is not capable of responsible fatherhood.
Would that be a determination she makes on her own in contravention of their agreements and court orders? What an amazing system.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantAnd if you meet a YCT guy whose parents were married after a YCT get, then you can make the beracha Borei Min MeiZonos.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantlol
At a YCT wedding when the kalla gives the chosson the ring, she can make the bracha “mekadeish yisroel”.
Of course, she is also thus oiver on the issuer of lo tihyeh kedeisha.
November 21, 2013 4:35 pm at 4:35 pm in reply to: Withholding a get vs. Withholding children #988302popa_bar_abbaParticipantThis doesn’t make any sense.
Withholdig a get after the marriage is over and dismantled is a contradiction.
Withholding children after the marriage is over and dismantled makes sense. You certainly wouldn’t withhold the kids if the marriage was not over!
So why would you compare the twain?
popa_bar_abbaParticipantyah yah.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantNo I haven’t tried the mango one yet. I sure hope it doesn’t have whole mango’s with the pits inside.
popa_bar_abbaParticipantT-t-tr-tro-tro-troll-trolllll-trrrrroll-trrrrrroooooo-tttttrrrrrrrooooooolllllllllllll
