What about a bachur who can only grow a partial beard? Should he not shave and look like a shlump?May 5, 2017 2:25 pm at 2:25 pm in reply to: What’s the deal with the 5th of Iyar? And what are Kinot? 📆🔑🗒️ #1270416
It’s actually the first Monday, Thursday, Monday after rosh chodesh iyar/cheshvan.
It takes the average bachur, who would much rather do other things then gemara, and the program challenges you to chazer over and over again the bikius masechta, until it’s so fluent that it’s sweet.
Right away, every day you have to chaser that days gemara three times. For Shabbos and Bein Hazmanim there’s a big “kiddush” with food, and each bachur makes a kabala how much he’s going to learn. Also, every once in a while there’s a retzufas seder (chazering for a certain amount of time straight).
I’m in the program this year
Hello?….. (person who called starts talking….) Hello? hello? I’m sorry your breaking up. Please leave a message and I will call you back.

A person can only do Yibum/Chalitzah to a brother who has the same father.
It is also a tragedy when Palestinians die.
do you say baruch dayan emes when a Palestinian dies while doing a terror attack?
Only if a Palestinian that dies is one of the tzaddikay ha’umos, would I agree with you.
Last I checked, Palestinians don’t care who they kill.
And each Jew that dies is its own tragedy.
Jews from Shevet Ephraim who left Mitzraim 30 years too early because they miscalculated, were killed by the Pelishtim……
Jews from Eretz Yisrael are now being killed by the Palestinians……..
you were saying something?…..
3 men in Miami were discussing how they had ended up there.
The first person says, “well, there was a fire in old home back in New York, and my insurance company paid for me to move here”.
The second person says, “I had a similar story. There was a flood in my home back in New Jersey, and my insurance company paid for me to move here”.
The third person says, “I also had a similar story. There was a tornado that destroyed my home back in California, and my insurance company also paid for me to move here”.
The other 2 people turn to him and say “how do you make a tornado??”.

Firstly, I agree with R’ Yair Hoffman that it is Onaah to survivors, and even those who aren’t survivors, since most if not everyone, has at least one relative who was killed Al Kiddush Hashem during the holocaust. Also, to see someone dressed like a prisoner during the War for a protest can also be painful
Also, it undermines the wickedness of the Nazis to call people who are any less evil, “Nazis”.
no my yeshiva posted it on the bulletin boardNovember 17, 2015 3:23 am at 3:23 am in reply to: DO WE REALLY HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE TO LIVE IN CHUTZ LA'ARETZ? #1112978

wearing a tallis katan doesn’t count?? why does someone lose out on the mitzvah of tzitzis if he doesn’t wear a tallis gadol?????
