I hate to break it to you , but ever generation since adam had major nisyonos.
We today can not even fathom how powerful avoda zara was , yet it was very difficult to over come.
When cars were introduced, the rabbanim of the tomes were very worried about the nisyonos which would come along with them. Same went for the telephone.
Internet can be devastating if used the wrong way, nevertheless its still one of the worst nisyonos of our times. Chazal say ain chodosh tachas hashemesh! Onternet is no different.

Use a red napkin.
Its just another reason to use red shabbos napkins at the shabbos table. Now if christmas falls on shabbos then ask your rabbi if its ok to use red on that shabbos.

Msybe with enough influence from her, she would convince him to wear a skirt and sholom al yisroel. Aa it is the toles are reversed anywsy by kollel guys where the wife is the breadwinner. Same with pants / skirt

Plenty quote on quote yeshivish girls whos husbands are in kollel dress mire pervocatively then many mo girl’s.

If my frum lwyer showed up in a white or colored dress shirt, id be ok but if my plumber or flooring guy showed up in a white dress shirt i would have my reservations

Wearing simple clothing means you do not need to spend time worrying about how this colored shirt looks on you vs another. It allows one to focus on what’s inside vs the outside. In Chabad chasidus lingo: pnimiyus vs chitzoniyus.
In Chabad it used to be acceptable to wear colored shirts, because it was assumed that bochurim we’re penimiyus and didn’t care either way. That has changed, and all yeshivas bow require white shirts.

With your line of thinking why not just dress in one colir throughout.all blue, all white , all black all brown and to make it even easier , institute a dress code of a full blown wrap.
No pockets to hide stuff no issue with tznius length by women. Why bother with black and white?

It doesnt make anyone buchur or yungermann more or less frum. Someone somewhere in his infinite wisdom to institute white and black and that’s whats stuck.
In some of the major yeshivas , colored shirts were still worn in the begining of the 90’s and slowly became something of the past

Shokling the way most do it is more of a* rote* move rather then showing fear to god.

Its seems learning nach in yeshivod today is considered taboo.

In my opinion pictures are stupid and serve zero purpose. But this is the way the world works, thanks to increasingly ridiculous demands (mostly from the parents of people in shidduchim, and the shadchanim capitulating on said demands).

But if you really want to do pictures, there has to be an agreement with the shadchan that both parties will receive each others picture. Otherwise it’s just prust and arrogant to ask.

Why is it any less arrogant or prust for the boys side to discuss money and free apartments before evrn considering to go out with a girl.
Why is it less prust to go out with a girl for hours on end at night time on hiways and biways in locked cars.
No one deems to be bothered hete, only about a picture request.

But its ok to go take out a girl for hours on end , in the dark of night, locked in a car on a deserted hiways and biways.

MY POINT EXACTLY.
BALEIBATTIM WAS THE NORM FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS ,YET THEY SOMEHOW JNEW HOW TO LEARN.
BESIDES, THEE BALLEIBATIM WHO YOU ARE ACCUSING OF NEEDING ARTSCROLL TO LEARN A PIECE OF GEMARA,FOR THE MOST PART ALL LEARNED IN LARGE YEHIVOS,GOT MARRIED AND BECAME BALLEI BATIM.

2) Many balabatim didn’t learn much gemara before Artscroll, but started learning much more after. The inventors of Artscroll have the z’chus of countless hours of learning.

Agreed that many gain from it. Thats a given but yo say it was for baleo batim who for the most part went to run of the mill yeshivos, it very wrong.
