@ysiegel from what it is clear, and prove it not is that they heard live the bad middah in action. now you argue that the MMM was able to delve into the hearts of children. Are you saying that in the middos alert where they spilled milk on the kitchen floor, it still would have went off, even if the milk never actually spilled? Pretty certain the MMM was updating Dr Middos in real time, and it was not a playback

@always_ask_questions fair point. Ffbs is a very broad term. Black hats might be more appropriate in this context.

@Amil Zola, my comment was not just in reference to what you wrote here. I see your posts all over the place, and it’s clear you have this biased assumption of what FFBs are.

@Amil Zola, edited. Yes as a kid, every kids book shelf had a collection of Amelia Bedelia books. They were next to the front doors in Jewish toy stores, and where available in our elementary school libraries.

I know you like to think of us as uneducated brainwashed fools who won’t eat breakfast unless we ask a shailah to our Rav.

You need to open your eyes and mind  and stop believing the fantasies that you read and project about us.

Type in google “brooks brothers shirts” and you should see a Charles Tyrhitt ad offering $30 a shirt (as opposed to $60+)

I asked it “write me a poem about the website theyeshivaworld.com”

    here is the response

A place for the Jewish community to convene,
The website theyeshivaworld, a source to be seen.
With news and updates, a wealth of information,
A hub for all things, with great admiration.

From the latest events, to topics so sage,
A place for learning, with knowledge to gauge.
With discussions and forums, for voices to share,
A platform for growth, for all to be aware.

The website theyeshivaworld, a bridge to the past,
With traditions and customs, that forever will last.
For all who are seeking, a way to connect,
A source of inspiration, that will always reflect.

So let us gather, and find what we need,
At theyeshivaworld, with a heart full of creed.
For a brighter tomorrow, and a better today,
We’ll visit this website, in every single way.

Just an assumption. I’ll be shocked if an employer can make this a requirement (although I won’t be surprised if a lawsuit like this makes the news).

You absolutely do not. If any employer makes you, I think you have grounds to sue.

I graduated their accounting course, and have zero regrets. Besides for education you have an amazing network.

I personally did not like the fact it was on zoom. I feel the quality of learning suffered (many disagree).

    Amount I think is fair.

If there were zoom meetings set up with people, with the participants representing 2-3 singles, and in the meeting, each person takes turns to discuss the single in question. Afterward, the participants can email each other for more info about the single they represented, and potentially set something up.

Basically a parent, sibling or friends of a single have a zoom meeting with others who also are trying to find a shidduch for someone.

Say a 12 participant zoom meg, each person looking out for a boy and a girl. Each participant is given 5 minutes to describe the single in question (no identity needs to be released), and afterwards, the participants can ask each other for more info, potentially setting something up

Was in a hotel in Israel, and there were a bunch of other people there as well. I would say 90% were older than 65. They gave hagbah by shachris to one of those older men, and after 3 seconds he couldn’t maintain it, and it came crashing down. Thankfully onto a table. Not sure what they were thinking.

Not attempting to go on attack here at all, I just would like to understand your perspective, so please dont take my question as disrespectful.

Almost every single famous sefer and commentaries… that are out there seem to speak for itself. If you truly have something worth sharing and you believe the Torah in there speaks for itself, why can’t you just let it take off on its own (obviously do some hishtadlus). Perhaps some of us are misunderstanding your intention here, and it sounds like you are trying to push your sefer in front of everyone since whats inside doesn’t do the job.

Lemashel, I want my composed song to be bought by a singer. I can email it to everyone I know, and harass every singer and producer out there. Or if its song like “Abba” from Avraham Fried, few emails will be enough to get a bidding war on.

Im certain you are not someone who is trying to force people to see you as a talmud chacham, but from this whole back and forth, that is how it seems to be (falsely hopefully) appearing.

I hope I didn’t offend you in any way, please forgive me if I did. I wish you much hatzlacha!

@coffee addict since amex points can be transferred to other airlines, and they have potential to get more value from them. An example is right now you can transfer your amex to British airways and get 40% more till october. You would have to run the nimbers to see if its worth it, but thats an wxample

@amil zola people on dans deals say they’ve gotten very badly screwed over by doing that. I heard If you try to get a 35k limit on amex, they will make you send them a copy of your tax returns. If you dont (or it doesnt match the income you told them) they will shut down all your accounts with them.
