You can usually put filters into your email system that will allow email addresses or certain words to avoid spam.
As I mentioned, the moderators do not program the site.
Thanks for telling me that NOW!
Were these posts you found in spam new threads that were started or were they posts in existing threads?
They were posts in existing threads. The same thing happens to new topics as well, though.
Were the posts all Hebrew or were some of the posts a combination of Hebrew and English?
Some were a combination.
After approving week(s) old posts, do those newly approved posts appear on the bottom of the thread or do they get placed above newer posts (that were approved weeks earlier)?
I don’t know. I didn’t check them in the threads afterwards.

It was a prediction. You can make that prediction not come true if you so desire.
Not sure what the purpose of your last two lines were.
SDD, it was subject to several interpretations which were quite negative.
We can’t read your mind, but we do need to be responsible.

Let’s please use halachic terms for some of the more sensitive parts of the discussion. Thanks.
In a similar vein, can YWN implement AI so that the coffee room can automatically generate its own posts and comments, and we can just sit back and watch the computers do all the work?
We already do. As of now, we still allow manually input posts, but we find the AI ones are much better.
On any give day, there are anywhere from 65%-85% AI posts and 15%-35% manually input posts.

Let this thread serve as a reminder: check your Subscribe and Save orders, and postpone any chometz shipments until after Pesach.
Do moderators use their power to take down opinions they disagree with?
Thanks for the idea!
Mods, why did you choose the numbers you have?
They were assigned based on the test scores from the MAT.
Some were embarrassed, so had them changed.
I love my job.
The part about it is no income taxes!
I got a chuckle out of this one.

NCB, calm down. Nobody is your enemy. Your post containing personal insults was taken down because personal insults are not allowed, “even” in political discussions. Onoas Devorim is Onoas Devorim. It was let through by mistake.
If that is not something you can abide by, you will have to find a different forum, but frankly, I do not understand why you think it is okay to begin with.January 7, 2019 7:01 am at 7:01 am in reply to: How can I make money from home, using internet/online, with a Jewish flavor? #1658078
This thread was made to promote the OP’s website. I keep deleting the follow up posts naming it. The Coffee Room is not free advertising.
Here is the link for advertising:
It’s ubiquitin, not ubiquiton.
Doomsday, you have been asked not to post in bold.
If you do it again, your posts will be deleted.
My, those watermelon slices are delicious.
25, did you see the fruit basket the Pharmaceutical company sent us? It’s a much nicer one.
Maybe Boris Angus Demetrius and Baruch will meet.
If you want to, you can post a link, and I can forward it.
2. Asking someone to prove his humanity in order to log in is onaat devarim (@mods).
I assume you are joking about onaat devarim.
If this really does bother you, you should address your complaint to those who program the site, rather than to those who merely moderate the comments in the Coffee Room.
Linking multiple fully anonymous identities does not compromise anonymity.
I was going to say that we have enough sesames, but decided against making fun of a typo.
No, it is not.July 4, 2018 9:55 am at 9:55 am in reply to: Why does the Yeshiva World constantly post anti Trump articles #1552133
These posts are much too long. I approved them, but please keep them shorter in the future.
I quoted a Halachah in Shulchan Aruch. It is in the R”ma in Orach Chaim, 459:1. See Mishnah Berurah.
I believe they are up to #10 now.
What does he say about baking outdoors? Do you have a canopy?
וכן יש ליזהר מלהוליך המצות לתנור תחת הרקיע מגולה
CTL: We set up production tables outside within steps of the oven.
It is worth pointing out that the Shulchan Aruch says the dough should not be kneaded near the oven.
ולא יתקרב ללוש אצל התנור מפני חום התנור
When you paste it in the Coffee Room, you have to remove the line breaks from the original document if you do not want them to show up.
Did you write it in a different program and then paste it into the Coffee Room?
There is as much anonymity as a user desires.
It is nice to agree with yourself, is it not?
We can’t use emojis? 🤔

Obviously, Mod, we’re interpreting some of the comments different (I’m including some of the previous CR threads that are linked to here). There is a very strong condemnation of MO around here.
That may very well be true. Feel free to take offense and disagree. I was merely pointing out that nobody said it was worse than being not frum.
I too am “ModOx”, although in my case, “Mod” is not necessarily short for “Modern”. 🙂
Did anyone say Modern Orthodox is as bad as being not frum?
I don’t see that…
