Would it bother you if the child would be allowed to color on the sidewalk as long as he’s responsible to wash it off as soon as he’s done?

Seriously asking. I don’t get why it makes you so upset, but if you say that it’s against the law does this make it better?

I thought we were talking about books. And now I have come to realize that this is a thread about movies. And tv. Maybe the thread should be renamed.

Sorry you’re right- I haven’t read the whole thing.

Now that I have, it appears (I don’t know her side so idk for sure) that your sister was in the wrong for waking up the baby. But you weren’t right to yell at her as if she were a child-she’s 28! PBA is right- who cares who’s right? Just fix the new problem! Who wants a huge family fight to come out of such a little thing? Apologize and get it over with.

Hitchhikers guide is full of apikorsus. What’s wrong with Harry Potter? I understand what’s Christian about chronicles of narnia and won’t let my (future) kids ever read them but I don’t see any Christian ideas in Harry Potter…

Haha this thread is awesome! Haifagirl-you’re really entertaining. You should be my grammar teacher. I’d never get bored! Ok, so this one isn’t so much as a yiddishism-I’ve heard it mostly from Syrians. Adding “but” to the end of sentences for no reason. I overheard “I LOOOOOVE this skirt but” in Junee. BUT what???? It’s not even as if they end the sentence with a questioning tone of voice or anything. It’s a statement!

Use a satin pillowcase. Use a long lasting felt tip eyeliner- I feel like even if everything else rubs off the eyeliner still makes you look “made up” AND DON’T RUB YOUR EYES

although my year in sem was “amazing!!,” I wish that someone would have told me beforehand about all the bad parts of it… I did not appreciate being told that I’d love EVERYTHING about sem when, in fact, a lot of things really annoyed me and drove me crazy. Tell her about the annoying stuff so that she’s prepared for it.

8 showers for 120 girls? Tell her.

Annoying office staff that treat the girls like babies? Tell her.

And give her some tips on how to deal with everything.

haha I’m post sem also and I have a teddy bear that I’ve had for ages!!! But I only really sleep with it when I’m sad/lonely lol…so most of the time it’s laying under my bed forgotten 🙂 I’ve brought it with me to camp and seminary- in fact my seminary friends adopted it and still occasionally ask about its wellbeing and stuff.

One of my best friends has a bear that she had since she was born. And she still sleeps with it.

It’s just a cuddly, pillow-like thing that’s easy to hug when you need something to hug

I only listen to jewish music now except for the occasional YouTube links I get from friends as “must watch!”s.

But I did it very very slowly… I was inspired to stop listening when I was in camp one summer, and started then. I first started off by committing to not buy any new not jewish songs but allowed myself to listen to my old stuff (I ddnt delete anything off my iPod yet)… Then I stopped listening to the radio (I discovered radio Hidabroot at this point)…then whenever I connected my iPod to my computer I weeded out the worse songs I had on it. Every time I connected it i told myself ill get rid of at least 8 songs and I usually exceeded that :). Then the summer before seminary I got rid of all my not jewish music (except for my Disney songs which are still there actually) and told myself if I still want them after sem, I still have the songs on my computer and I can redownload them after sem… Still going strong 🙂 I listen to some stuff occasionally-like if my friends recommend stuff or if its playing in their care I don’t ask them to turn it off
