myshadow, gorgeous is on I and McDonald but KeppingEntertained and I are talking about the one on M and 15th, I like them much better if you have a choice. and the boy does buy drinks which could be 15 dollars, um then parking?!? its about 35-60 dollars depending on place and time, and that is just for a first date, after first date well depending if you go back to a lounge again but the prices usually go up.

Brooklyn, not everyone wants the cheapest of things, you want to enjoy, last night I paid over 40 for a pedicure, and over twenty for manicure. not saying everyone has to pay that price because there r cheaper places but its good to enjoy and relax

I still think speeding is ok, because I do know how to drive, just made a little mistake ( or rather a big one) but i always speed on highways, never got caught once, that ticket even once every other month is worth getting to my destination faster. unless my license will get taken away, otherwise its only cash I am losing on it.

Those who play “Kvitlach”on Chanukah will be punished severely in the next world, as many other Aveiros, sins, are inevitably involved whenever these card games take place (gambling, stealing, Nivul Peh, Bitul Torah, Prikus Ol, Lashon Hara, [as well as lack of Tzniyus, Histaklus B’Arayos etc. when there are men and women involved in the same game, Chas V’Shalom] just to name a few).

One who has the capacity to stop these games from taking place and discontinue this sinful practice will be greatly rewarded in the next world (Aruch HaShulchan Siman 670:9. See also Yesod V’Shoresh Ha’Avodah Sha’ar 12: end of Perek 1)

If you have been invited to participate in such a game, it would be best to cancel and let them know that you won’t be attending. Although this may be a difficult decision and one that may cause you embarrassment and “hard feelings”, it is the right decision and one that a G-d fearing Jew must make. The Mishna in Pirkei Avos teaches us that “L’Fum Tzaarah Agrah- the more painful a

decision is to make, the greater the heavenly rewards”

The ideal is to learn, but some people are not made for that so the second best thing to do is work and support learning people. U dont have to make calculation likes if noone is working because everyone is learning how will they make money. they wil be doing HaShems ratzone and he will help out. there are two ways a person can work. work in a business or wtvr and make money, or work delving into and learning into torah and HaShem will then take care of the parnasa part for you. and like your making it sound worst case everyone will be learning (a’h bkarov) Mashiach will be here!!…

When you dont see the person face to face it is easier to be nasty and let out your anger. But it shows that you are not the good person you are just doing it so other people say you are nice because noone will call you a mean person.

Keepinentertained, you are so right and I really try not to honk, because it bothers me so much when other people honk so why should i?

when i first started driving, being that i lived i brooklyn so i am honked at all the time, it was so hard to drive because if i stopped for a second i would only get honked at and it would get me so scared.

also, i heard that driving has to do with your middos, so i assume that working on your driving is also working on your middos, i am not saying in how well you drive, but how you deal with other drivers.

Its just scary that yesterday I went out to do two things and it turns into over two hour affair, and when I was asked to pick up a simple bagel I said i cant because parking wont allow me to do it in less than a half hour.

    myshadow, kol hakavoid to you!

Brooklyn is right, it is the atmosphere, you can keep extra chumros and that is very nice, but you have to instill in your kids a love for what they are doing. so it should not feel like a burden to them but something they get pleasure out of. It is sitting the nekudas habechira highier which is really amazing

Yeshivishmom, In tzinues there is alot of extra things that you do because u feel right about it, which is why it is so hard to answer those people who say “where does it say…” Most of my friends wear short sleeves over long sleeves, it is not only a t-shirt look but they make very nice shabbos tops and suite jackets as well. I dont know in seminary I just felt something about it, I didnt feel like a bas melech, it is a look and I just didnt think I felt like malchus in it. So I gave away all my short sleeve tops, it is hard because most of the stores sell pretty things, but lifes all aobut struggle.

A teacher of mine told us she sees a bigger problem with slingbacks than high heels, so it all depends on you and how you feel about that matter. But always try to highten and raise your sensativities.

It really depends your backround and what you allow or what you want your kids to do. Chofetz Chaim is very into the boys being worldy and knowing these thigns. I also know chassidish people who are considered a little messed up if they do follow it, so you have to deciede for yourself what you would like your kids doing or not.
