deiyezooger: You’re Belz?
Maybe at 4 years old, they should teach it in Kindergarten?
The OP sounds like ‘Moshiach please come’.
Both the Shulchan Aruch (73:1) and Rambam say a woman shouldn’t leave the house too much. I would imagine this ties into the reason of them not driving.
Insurance is more for men since statistically men drive more and thus are involved in more incidents. But, as deiyezooger pointed out, per mile men have less driving incidents.
Christians are worse than Muslims as far as Jews are concerned, considering Christianity’s 2,000 years of attempted genocide against Jews.
Does the separate vacation take the place of the joint vacation?
Mod 80: I don’t think it is a gezeira per se, but rather the practical realization of contemporary poskim that disallowing a physician or Hatzalah member to return home from the hospital would discourage such people from going in the first place, and thus potentially making them unavailable to save lives.
apy- And how is that any better?
No, it’s a total bubbe maaise. And it’s not a new bubbe maaise either. I’ve heard it already almost 20 years ago.
Whatever works best for your family is best for you.
Are there any “how to” videos demonstrating this online?
Um, the Chofetz Chaim lived in a shtetl.
Also, please source that alleged quote from the CC.
Kiryas Yoel is right next to a big mall (Woodbury Commons).

Sam: Can you share some mekors of any who said its okay? (This isn’t a challenge to your point.)
Why is everyone repeating themselves 3 – 4 times? LOL
Why shouldn’t she rush the process? It’s a mitzvah to get married, and the earlier the better. Rav Avigdor Miller zt”l encouraged girls to get married straight out of high school, at age 17 and 18. He speaks of this in his seforim.
I’ve noticed the same thing Mod 80. Thanks for pointing out the hypocrisy.
The mechaber mentions the minhag of those who only eat in Succah during SA day, but doesnt agree with the minhag. I think that the Nosei Keilim explain the reasons for the various minhagim.
Silly question. How do you end up with all these weird wedding scenarios? Just the other day it was cancelled on the wedding day.
Various rabbonim shlit”a don’t allow it in their community. Especially in Eretz Yisroel, but in the U.S. as well.
and the father assured his family to speak with the shadchan.
What does that mean?
I’ll cover the 4 am – 5 am slot daily.
What else can you get away with?
Meeting via shadchan is a middle ground, between a beshow or arranged marriage and meeting in college.
Drill a hole under it and let it leak into a bottle.
Health Insurance covers standard periodic checkups everyone should have.
Property Insurance covers hurricane or natural disasters (or a fallen tree.) It is also required to get a mortgage.
Auto Insurance is legally mandatory.
A candle platter is good.
miritchka: That is the position of those rabbonim who say to buy life insurance. I was describing the position of the other rabbonim.
I would tend to think that by far most rabbonim say to buy life insurance.
Everyone needs a burial plot. Only those who pass away young need life insurance.
No one calls it a lack of Bitachon that we own a house in CHU”L. After all, if Moshiach comes tomorrow then we won’t need it anymore.
Actually some people don’t own a house here for precisely that reason.
I would think that buying a plot is not the same issue. Everyone is niftar and needs a plot. Life insurance OTOH is generally not designed for people who pass away at age 85. It is designed if c”v someone passes away young (and still has family that needs financial assistance.)
It’s a machlokes.
If you saw two Saudi women in a full hijab, niqab and abaya walk into Amnon’s Pizza on 13th, you wouldn’t do a double-take?
Areivim Zeh L’Zeh means helping your brother not fall into this spiritual wasteland and proactively doing something to stop it from happening.
popa: He asked to stand corrected if incorrect. Why not take the initiative?
How would anyone know the brand name of the suit you are wearing?
And since the shatnez can be removed, what difference is it that it is known that such a suit initially contained it?
I have several Roshei HaYeshivos, all over 60. None of them met socially. Nor will any of them allow a talmid today to meet girls socially.
I hope that helps change your attitude Climbing mountains. 🙂
How long must you wait between asking each time?
I would imagine Are you moichel? No. Are you moichel? No. Are you moichel? … doesn’t cut it.
He’s a ganav too. 😉 (Sorry popa.)

Mi K’amcha Yisroel!
This kind of “problem” would NEVER exist by goyim. Here our holy brothers are doing their utmost not to be nichshol in arayos. They are averting their eyes to not look at the opposite gender. They are moving far aside not to even inadvertently come too close to the opposite gender. They are not going in a 30 second elevator ride to avoid even the slightest possibility of wrong thoughts even.
A pruste goy? Punkt farkert! Could you ever imagine any goy anywhere going to these lengths? Not in a million years! They would be davka looking, twinkling the eye, coming closer, and if there were two elevators going up simultaneously — one with a businessman and one with a girl — which do you think he is taking?
Rabbosai, this inyan gave me a much needed needed reminder of how thankful I must be every morning, and how much kavana I must have, when I make that brocho of Shelo Asani Goy.
Do you think I can take an advance loan of (only) $5,000 from your upcoming $700 Million dollars?
Speak to your parents about this.
ayc: According to many it is yichud. These men obviously didn’t want to have this yichud. Kudos for them.
