Maybe because they have a path in life they would like to lead which correct or incorrect depends who you ask, and GENERALLY (not always) that type of boy will not be one who is already working before marriage. So why look into it over a guy who more likely will be what she would like.

Have to argue with @rational. I went thru the yeshiva system and while obviously the dress code was a white shirt (and would have been unacceptable to come to the yeshiva in a blue shirt) it was never brought out with that attitude that if a different yeshiva had people with blue shirts they were not torah Jews. So a drop of an exaggeration there.
Vhere rebbe would you say the same in a non Jewish school which has a dress code or a black tie event to wear jeans and a t-shirt? There’s no inherent problem with a blue shirt over white but if you choose the blue in a white environment then chances are you are the type of person that will have different conflicts with the yeshiva so they don’t want you.
TLIK- it depends, if he’s someone who’s proud of it and tries to normalize it to society and force it on society then I would have to agree with Joseph to hate him for it but if it’s someone who has the struggle and is trying not then even if he messes up you shouldn’t hate him at most feel sorry and try to be supportive in any way you can.

And to Are Roster Libby and the like did any of you ever actually go over to one of the roshei yeshivas to ask them or are you like those missionaries who just have their 5 verses up your sleeves ? Yes you have a question why not at 20 but did you ever try to ask the leaders of the other side (I.e the roshei yeshivos) why bochurim are not (currently) starting to date at 20 ?
