    Two things
Firstly I was not aware that hunter Biden was his political opponent.
Secondly, who cares what it looks like. Since when did ”it looks like ” become an impeachAble offense?
Yes he did not ask for a needed corruption investigation until he realised that it may ALSO help his political career (I am not saying this is true, I’m granting it for arguments sake). So what? You think anything is not done with ulterior motives?
When Obama gave cash to Iran, you think he didn’t think that would help him politically??
So should he have been impeached for using billions of American tax dollars to give himself a leg up on his political rivals?
The bidens were involved in massive corruption.
Joe himself bragged that he actually did what trump has now been accused of and trump has denied doing. Yet according to Jackk and Reb Eleizer and Rebbe Debbie and all the other cool aid drinkers it’s trump who should be impeached and Biden who should be elected.
Another reason for trump to proudly admit it. It seems it is only being accused of such behavior that is impeachable. Actually admitting to it creates impunity.
As I said he should proudly admit to it. And frame and display the impeachment paperwork.

    Reb Eleizer
    Why should he disprove it.
What’s wrong if he did it?
So he asked for a corruption investigation.
    What’s wrong?
    He should proudly admit it.

    RebbeDebbie
Why would it be honorable to resign
Imagine I hired 500 people to stand outside of your house with signs chanting ”RebbeDebbie ”stole this house.
And then we would all 500 of us vote if we believed that. And amazingly would have a unanimous vote that says you stole the house.
Would you do ”the honorable thing ” and just walk away from your house that you bought honestly???

That’s a reasonable position, I may not agree with every kind but I certainly would not challenge it outright and totally.
That’s a very different tone and position then someone who says ”send half the boys out to work!! ” ”let them Get off their tuchus” which is what I was responding to

Yes! Instead of sitting on their tuchis for at least a year or two doing nothing, they will be “mekayem” what it says in the Ketuba, “I will feed you, clothe you, etc”!!!!

    That’s not an important question.
The question is only are we less safe?
The man was evil and needed to be taken out. As long as it doesn’t increase our danger from Iran it was a good move.
Since Iran is being as aggressive as they could anyway, there is really no problem with killing their generals

I don’t know any of the statistics, and Frankly im not inclined to spend time looking at them as I don’t really trust them.
And I’m not creating public policy. I’m just arguing opinion.
But I can’t see how making it easier for a criminal with a gun who shot people makes any difference.
Fact is they got guns, they killed people.
Do I care if it would have been even easier for them to get those guns?
    No. They got them anyway.
And they will get them if you make it harder too.
But had the store owner had a gun, we may well have had less death of innocents.
If there two scum knew that any Random citizen may be packing heat, they may well have thought twice.
Had someone in Monsey had a gun in the room it would now be” the dead guy who tried to attack with a machete. ”

Um, no not at all. That’s not what he is saying in the pull quote you posted.
He is saying that if a shul does build a מחיצה that is kosher, the fact that someone may choose on purpose to stare at the women is not our problem. A man always has a חיוב to watch his eyes and can’t pass it off by saying build a better מחיצה so I won’t be able to look.
ואם יש מי שיעבור ויסתכל בכוונה
    That’s from your quote
That means that on purpose the man is looking.
Here we are discussing the fact that when I go to my local grocery store there are ostensibly religious women dressed in a decidedly אסור mode.
They are for the most part
    מזידים
    מחטיאי הרבים
    ועתידין ליתן את הדין
    מרחקים הקב”ה ממחנינו
No they have no right to say don’t look.
R Moshe is talking about one who is trying to look
I am talking about placing a stumbling block in front of someone trying not to look.
I guess that except for the fact that they are totally opposite, they are the same

I’m married, and I have daughters and sisters as well.
I’ve seen how girls check every part of their attire to make sure it’s all working together.
Changing shirts, skirts, shoes, tights, even rings, because somehow (understandable to females only) the outfit doesn’t ”work ”
And I’m all that she didn’t notice that it is an inch above her knee?? Really?? She say the thread hanging from the hem in the back of the skirt, but didn’t realize that the skirt is too short?? Really ??
Who do you think you are fooling.
When a girl puts on a short skirt she knows good and well that it’s short.
There is nothing wrong with someone complaining about it.
You don’t like that? Don’t wear it.

in reply to: Tznius: a woman’s issue #1814899

    This issue has two parts
1 it’s a mitzvah just like any other, and maybe I should comment maybe not.
2 it directly affects me. Hashem created men that they are attracted to females. That’s just the fact. So when a woman or girl dresses inappropriately, that will effect any man who can see her.
It’s on different than if your Co worker started coming to work every day with a new cologne.
Gasoline. 87 unleaded. Liberally sprayed on themselves.
Imagine if you complained about the stench and they would respond, just don’t smell. Breath from your mouth and put on nose plugs. I have the right to spray what I want. It’s my body.
    Would anyone buy that answer???
But somehow when a woman walks around smelling like gehennom, suddenly if a man says anything ”just don’t look ”
    It’s not his business

    News flash
If you are affecting me, it is my business.
And if you are dressing in a way that is not in accordance with halacha I have every right to complain.

    Syag,
I’ve skinned some, I’ve schmoozed with boys who were reading them asking what the books are about.
There are books where the ”hero ”is constantly killing and maiming.
There are characters who are conniving crooks.
    Husbands who are jerks
    Wives who are mean
Children who ”had enough ”and throw it all away.

While officially the undercurrent of the book is supposed to be that the evil ones life is empty,
Ultimately the overt information has the evil one being successful for most of the book quite often.
That’s just the way a novel of intrigue is going to be built.
The hero is always on the defensive for most of the book.
    That’s how you build suspense.
You create a hero you put him in trouble /danger /difficult situation/position and you work him out of it.
That means that for most of the book your reader is reading about a non role model being successful.
That subliminal message seeps in. ESPECIALLY SO being as the child is under the impression that this is a Jewish book written by someone like him. The fact that at the end it all falls apart doesn’t counteract the hundreds of pages where it was going well for the bad guy.
Of course I’m not saying the kid puts down the book and goes to rob a bank.
But neither does he put down the worst of non Jewish literature and go to ”Manhattan”
It’s a question of putting wrong ideals into his head.
I think many of the so called Jewish novels are awful. While there are plenty of kosher non Jewish ones.
Ultimately it should be the content that is the factor in the decision. Not the author.
This is similar to the ”Jewish music ” conversation.
For they are both really the same

    Jewish novels
    Product Description
Gabi Ben-Dor, a seasoned private eye, is in hot pursuit of a rogue doctor whose negligence has cost lives.

    Product Description
A diabolical plan for terror, years in the making.
A reluctant attorney in a battle between evil and good.
Shea Berman’s life is about to implode.

It happened so quickly: Shea Berman went from being a respected member of his Lakewood community, an attorney on the fast-track to success, and a loving son, husband, and father, to a pariah fighting to keep his job, his reputation, his family – and his life.

When forced by his ruthless, and hugely successful, law firm to defend the man accused of brutally attacking Shea’s own rebbe, Shea is drawn into a plot that spans years and continents. The stakes are high, as Shea and an unlikely band of allies including an angry district attorney, an elderly Pakistani father, and an incorrigible FBI agent try to uncover the truth, both in the courtroom and on the dangerous streets of Brooklyn and Jenin.

Fatal Judgment is a riveting legal thriller that will keep readers on edge from the first vivid encounter with American justice to the explosive climax.

Yossi is defiant. His father is overbearing. His mother is protective. It’s a volatile mixture that explodes in this can’t-put-down novel.

    Need I go on??
This is a random sampling of the current crop of novels being offered by the premier Jewish publishing company.
    Murder
    Mayhem
    Intrigue
    Leaving home
    Leaving Judaism
    Dysfunctional parents
    Dysfunctional marriages
    Dysfunctional families
    Thievery.
Anything goes as long as its not male female related.

True it’s not all but if you don’t want to generalize Jewish novels, don’t generalize non Jewish ones either.

    I beg to differ
    Talk about insidious
A book like Sherlock Holmes is almost totally clean has ”chochma” and if something not so great finds its way in, a kid at least knows it’s not Jewish.
Contrast that to Jewish novels of today which as a relative who was off the derech told me ”are a guidebook for going off the derech ” with everything working out in the last three chapters.

Why exactly does trump have an agenda to ”look good in front of the Jews ” ?
I keep hearing/seeing people express that idea.
I can’t even begin to understand it.
If you told me Biden hates blacks but attempts to make himself look like he loves them, I get it. The black community has a huge sway in politics and if he’d be associated with being anti black it would really torpedo his chances at winning. So there would be motive.

    What’s trumps motive?
The pro Jewish things he has done have almost all been (in his world view) pro RELIGIOUS Jewish. Many have actually infuriated the ”Jewish lobby ”
    Moving the embassy,
    Legitimizing the shomron settlements,
    Freeing rubashkin
Why would he do any of those if it wasn’t for real????
    I’m asking you a favor.

To bring a Ramban as if that closes the discussion is disingenuous at best.
Of course you will find many ראשונים and on who say one should live in e y.
And if you choose to follow that שיטת החיים, כל הכבוד!
But to present it as if you are unaware that there is another position in diametric opposition to that one, just makes you look like a fool.
We are all aware of the satmer Rebbe’s position. Which is well thought out and fully documented.
To just flat out ignore it means you are not interested in a discussion.
I personally did not stake out a position here.
    How could I?
This is an age old מח with no possible solution.
I’m just commenting on your strident tones of ”what’s your excuse now ”
Why does anyone need to excuse themselves from not doing something that may entail many לאווין ושבועות if they do it???

    Only difference is
There hashem told us to go to e y
Here he told us to stay out

There the rebels were in the wilderness
Here they are in the country of Israel

All of your arguments are self made up after you knew what you wanted to answer.
But they all start after accepting an unproven point that needs to be proven.
Who says we are supposed to go en mass to live in e y?
Maybe we are supposed to stay in galus
    With all its problems
    I certainly don’t know
    But to uproot oneself,
