The minor party candidate is usually a democrat or republican (sometimes not though) so if the minor party candidate is also a major party candidate you’re in essence voting for the major party candidate
I suggest doing a CR search and you’re sure to find it

1) people who are voting “working party” with deblasio’s name (which happens to be the same guy as the democrat) are voting democrat and they know it they just don’t want to be blamed for voting for a democrat
2) 1 isn’t referring to those people that live oot obviously
When you do the same to republicans who voted for trump you’re not blaming the democrats who didn’t vote for Hillary but it’s essentially “their fault” too
