It states on the FDA website “vaccination is medication”. Why are we medicating our healthy children?

So that they don’t get sick.

Is that seriously the best you can come up with?

    Ignored.

You can’t be selfish and then complain that no one comes to your aid when your selfishness comes back to bite you.

    Doomsday,
Wrong. They either pick countries with very low autism rates (like Denmark) or Third World Countries where unvaxxed babies are like to be suffering from malnutrition, dirty water, no sanitation, overcrowding and thus have a higher mortality rate then the vaxxed babies.

Wrong. Whenever they start doing a study in the US, all the scientists involved mysteriously get eaten by hyenas.

(See? I can make up garbage too.)

Folks, WHY are these vaccine studies usually done in FOREIGN Countries and NOT USA

Probably because there aren’t enough anti-vaxxers in the US who are willing to be part of such a study.

    Keej,

    Keej,

According to your logic, you should include every person on Earth in the group of people at risk for regular autism.

You’re looking at two separate groups and comparing the ratios of each group. You can’t take numbers from one group and use them in the calculations for the other group.

This just seems blatantly obvious to me. Am I crazy? Am I missing something?

The only way to avoid that would be if hatzalah could pay it without the patient ever even seeing it. I’m not sure that’s possible.

Not really sure what this means. Co-pays and deductibles go straight to the provider (Hatzolah in this case), not the insurance company.

The fact that CDC refuses to do such a study – demanded by Congressmen – is in itself Proof that CDC and
Vaccine Industry know that VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM – and many other diseases.

The fact that you use the word “proof” incorrectly effectively discredits every logical argument you make.

I’m going to preface my comment with the following: I am not a scientist, and as such, I don’t really know how to properly interpret scientific studies.

That being said, I just skimmed through abstracts of the infamous “157 studies” and found that an overwhelming majority of them discuss the use of mercury (thimerosal) in vaccines. Based on what I’ve read elsewhere, virtually all vaccines (aside from certain flu vaccines) are currently available without thimerosal. Therefore, most, if not all, of those 157 studies are completely irrelevant to this discussion. Am I wrong?

    GH,

You’re misunderstanding my point. I was responding to avreichamshlomo. I was just pointing out that the reason for waking someone up in this case is not in order to be motzi that person, but rather so that you yourself can be yotzei pirsumei nisa (if nobody sees it, there’s no pirsum).

Regardless, in the cases you brought, it would probably be appropriate the wake the person. Nothing to do with pirsumei nisa, just because it’s a mitzvah and they most likely don’t want to miss out.

So, are you going to admit you were wrong, Meno?

Seriously? Your quote mentions nothing about death (you added that yourself), nor does it mention anything about serious vaccine adverse events.

    So you’re just lying again.

(I just want to make it clear, I don’t actually think you’re lying. I think you just have a problem with understanding scientific studies, and perhaps a problem with reading comprehension as well. My “lying” comments are just to point out how absurd it is that you are accusing everyone else of lying. There are decent people in this world. Not everyone is out to get you.)

    Doomsday,

Wait wait wait. Let me get this straight.

-1% of adverse effects are reported
    -168 Deaths are reported
-That means in reality there are 16,800 deaths?

That’s extremely faulty logic. It would be reasonable to assume that a much higher percentage of severe adverse effects are reported than mild adverse effects.

So now that I’ve caught you repeatedly pushing a faulty argument it must be that YOU ARE A LIAR!!!

THAT MEANS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER SAID MUST BE A LIE!!!

Why are we medicating our healthy children??

Stop with that stupid semantics argument. If the FDA put out a statement saying “vaccines are technically vegetables,” you would be fine with them?

Bottom line is that they are a thing with properties and characteristics, and they serve a purpose. What you call them is irrelevant.

    Mindful,

If it happened to YOU chv”sh would you keep saying there is no evidence?

Honestly, I can’t say how I would react in that case, and as I’ve said before, I don’t blame those parents for thinking the way they do.

Would you look in the eyes of a mother telling this story and tell her “science doesn’t support your account”

No, because that’s a terribly insensitive thing to say to someone who’s in that type of pain, but I would still think it in my head. 100%. Whole-heartedly.

Once you go down the rabbit hole, there is plenty of evidence.

Again, plenty of stories, not scientific evidence.

But regardless, lack of science does not negate reality.

True, but it makes more sense to make medical decisions based on science rather than what you perceive as reality.

When reality does not match “science” it means there is something off with the way the experiment was conducted. It does not mean that REALITY does not exist.

As has been pointed out, there is a perfectly reasonable scientific explanation for all of these stories.

The people with the millions and billions pay scientists to run the study exactly how they want, to prove exactly what they want. The end.

See this is exactly my point. You’re saying that the overwhelming majority of scientists, politicians, health agencies, etc. are corrupt and lying for money and have yet to be busted for it.

It’s certainly possible, but it’s highly unlikely.

I didn’t say that. I don’t blame these people for thinking the way they do.

I’m just saying that it’s not how science works.

All of the things you’re saying are absolutely possible. Though in the grand scheme of things, taking all factors into consideration, they’re highly unlikely.

You can explain all you want. When a one year old gets ill immediately after an MMR and a week later is diagnosed with kidney failure, doctor says coincidental. When a five year old gets some overdue vaccines and stops talking and eventually is diagnosed with autism, conincidence. I know both of those people. And both of their parents say it occurred because of the vaccine. But if doctors refuse to see the truth glaring at them, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Wait, so you’re saying that vaccines caused illnesses TWICE?!

    Sounds like science to me!

A religious exemption does not have to be signed off by your shul rabbi; it has to be based on sincere personal religious beliefs. If someone feels that the risks of vaccination outweigh the benefits, then that person would have a real halachic issue putting his healthy children at risk for the theoretical benefit of the klal.

I don’t understand. If you say it’s a real halachic issue, then you should be able to produce a letter signed by a legitimate rav stating so. If you can’t produce such a letter, then any “sincere religous belief” you have is apikorsus.

I don’t have to read the second half of his words, the first is damning enough. He’s saying that sorry, we lied to you, a disease which now damages one in 36 (up from one in 10,000) which we still continue to deny has been aggravated by the insane vaccine schedule, we hid the data. But hey, keep pumping that poison into your kids. It will only harm one in 36 kids. Are you believing this stuff??

Ok, now you’re just showing that you don’t understand how math works.

That you readily admit that and still choose to vaccinate is your choice.

I don’t readily admit that, I’m just debating you on your own terms.
