just joined this discussion- but we DO NOT daven to the rebbe. anyone who says that is wrong. what we are doing is asking the rebbe to daven to hashem on our behalf.
To make this clearer- take moshe rabbeinu. would anyone consider him avodah zara? no. but he was the shliach between hashem and the yidden.

If there an issue with the girl/boy, or a genetic mental illness in the family, you need to tell. I think by the third date makes sense cuz thats when its kind of getting serious, but not serious enough.

This is what I understood happened- Uncle koishy is restarting seperate from suki and ding, heโ€™s using completely new songs and everything except for some really old ones cuz they own the rights to everything. Suki and ding got a new uncle moishy to replace him.

the rebbe CAN be moshiach. Its not definite that he is, but then theres no reason that he isnt. Moshiach can be from the dead so thats not an issue.

I didnt read all the comments, so i apologize if this was already said- but the reason we dont have a new rebbe after the rebbe isnt because he has no children. Its because there is no one to be rebbe. Most communities ‘elect’ their leader. But a rebbe cannot be elected. Its who he is.

warrior- I’m careful with tznius. What I;m saying is men don’t have the same challenges so they don’t know how it is. Also theres a difference between halacha and then adding ‘chumros’. Maybe I can understand if they say something about tznius, but my skirt DOES NOT need to be four inches below the knees and im 100% allowed to wear the color pink, or leggings as long as my legs are fully covered.

Warrior- super tight IS against halacha. But midcalf length is not required at all. There is a difference.
JJ2020-I never said dont follow halacha, I said dont add on all your chumros and force other people to follow them.
Also my school changed the skirt must be midcalf rule to it must be covering knees at all times and youu know what? Before people said were anyways not folowing the rules may as well be above knees. but now its a realistic length girls are actually following it.

The issue is wearing leather not wearing comfortable. Personally I hate leather shoes 90% of my shoes are man made. But that doesn’t mean I have a different Halacha

I think the first focus should be on actual halacha, not setting hair length guidelines and skirts cant be more than one inch lower or higher then midcalf and shirt sleeves have to be bracelet length etc. Follow halacha thats all. And that includes as said before stuff other than dress.
Also- Why is it often men pointing out the tznius issue? I don’t think it is right for a man to stare at a women to find out what shes lacking in tznius…

I feel more at home in a more ‘modern’ design house. It doesnt feel cold at all. But when a house hasent been touched in 50 years I feel out of place and UGH too much clutter makes me claustrophobic (note: not too much mess. too much stuff even if its organized.)

    1. Who said its across the world
    2. The article said that there IS NOT an issue with long hair as long as its worn appropriately
    3. measuring skirts is just as bad in my opinion… just look if its tznius thats all no ruler. But also hair is more permenant, a skirt can be changed when you get home.
    4. Where else should they go?
    5. They actua;;y stopped measuring it after it went viral
    6. People did
    7. Might not cause OTD but will definitely cause frustration at being forced to keep above and beyond the actual halacha

I think the main issue by us is we have about 15 teachers. So each teacher doesnt give morethan twenty minutes a day max but this adds up and thats besides for all our tests and quizzes

CTL- the thing you may be forgetting is the Board of Education is based on public schools. Who finish ar 2:00. So they have time for homework. I come home from -high school- after 5, and thats without staying late to help for programs. I am unable to do hours of homework a night. I spend my whole day in school my nights should be free.
I am in school five days a week, eight hours a day, If we cant be tought everything during that time then theres an issue with the teachers. We should spent our time at home finishing up class time.

My opinion on this whole thing-
K, so at first I was really mad when I saw the video. RIght? Along with everyone else
But now I think it may have been a mother measuring her own daughters hair and the school didnt force measuring (I hope I’m right)
But the school still has a dress code which says hair cant be more than four inches past the shoulder. Which I think is completely unfair. Its an added chumrah based on nothing. And it’s not something that you can just do for school. Like my school we need to wear our hair up. But I can take it out as soon as I get home. So it doesnt bother me as much. cutting hair is much more permenant.
I probably forgot to sayhalf the stuff on my mind and what I did write was a big mush but hopefully you get the idea ๐Ÿ™‚

There is nothign wrong with that. They didnt force anyone to buy it. You wouldnt complain if they were selling cases for $5 so why are you complaining if it is $42. I see this very often on amazon the same item in blue is $8 and in yellow will be $57. It doesnt make sense but that doesnt mean its wrong.

If the baby needs to eat, he needs to eat. Obviously its better if the mom uses a nursing cover but sometimes its not possible. Taking care of children superceeds many other mitzvos. For example if your davening shemoneh esrei and a baby is crying and no one else is there you are allowed to go get the baby.

I always take pictures of everything because, as I said before, I have aphantasia, and if I don’t take a pic, I’ll have only a vague sort of memory of it. Not a real one. The photos are my memory.
