The fact that you want to take out the liquid with the fly in order that the removal should not constute borer does not make the spoon be’kli because borer relates to your personal needs not to your halachical act.

The purpose if Linkedin is to be able to grow your career by increasing your network of professional contacts, not to network with people that you know.

Le’olam yidbak adam be’tovim (or somethink like that in yesh nochalin) because the reason Moshe’s great-grandson was a priest to avodah zarah is because he married Yisro’s daughter.

There is a discussion on Din Online about using a Wifi network you find unsecured. One question is invasion of privacy the other question is you are using the person’s ISP’s bandwidth without paying.

The holocaust is not an exception in halacha, people who went through the holocaust may be on a higher madregah but they still have the same halachos as everyone else.

Research your parents’ families, find out what made them the great people that they became. See how you can apply this in your life.

Approaching Hashem is done differently for different people. Some people go in a straight line towards Hashem, other people are like an asteroid that orbits to the cold outer spheres of the solar system and then comes back towards the sun.

No years of your life are ever wasted because the second part of the orbit (coming closer to Hashem in your own way) had to be preceeded by the first part if the elliptical orbit.

People don’t learn mussar anymore, they think this is only for if you want to be a tzaddik. This would be better than having one day off for fasting. They have too many agendas of their own to be their best them.

    – you mentioned that your lechatchilah for your son was that he should be a rebbe – is he intellectually inclined? statistically many kids at risk are not intellectually inclined and therefore not cut out for the very intellectually driven jewish frum school curriculum. this does not mean that there is anything wrong with the kids, it just means as our local headmaster says – schools are not designed for kids. especially if you would have liked him to be a rebbe which means he is the top learner then this is pressure to be intellectual

    – have you asked your parents for advice?

there seem to be two versions of lebedik yankel, one which is a sort of chasunah song and the other which is a rip off of lebedik yankel by the mussar movement and includes words such as – what makes yankel happy iz lernen mussar ohn a moss.

do you know the words for either?

there is a recording of the ordinary lebedik yankel available on the florida atlanta university jewish music archive

reb boruch ber only served as a rov for a very short time, most of the time he was a rosh yeshiva. once when he was a rov a housewife walked in with a kashrus shaalah on a chicken and showed him the pupik, reb boruch ber said – this is the helike pupik which the gemara talks about! so maybe you could be the helike pupik

in the first gulf war half the american bochuim in the mir went back to the u.s., rb wolbe z”l gave a schmooze as follows – they say the americans are going back to america – tor sie gehen, mir dahrf sie nicht hoben. he pointed out that the jews in israel were miraculously saved from the holocaust (if you look at the history of the war and how the german attack was repulsed very close to Israel).
