In my husbands family going to work is a total busha. Well guess what!~!!! after my baby was born i lost my job and there was nobody to pay the bills. ( nobody supports us)My husband went out to work– we got the whole blablabal talk from pple about how you are supposed to be moiser nefesh for kollel and the likes…. Everyone calmed down later and I feel we did the right step. I just feel bad for those pple trapped in their own narrowmindedness that working is assur.

I just wanted to tell the oilem over here that there is a simple thing called Kyolic( crushed garlic)— You can buy it in a capsul form or in a pill form or even in a liqued form. It helps tremendously for cold. This has the best track record of anything I ever tried. I will even crush a small piece and mix it with a bit of apple juice or any juice and give it to my infant when she has a cold. It really really helps . I am not one of these pple that are against medicine. I give medicine when needed but I find that kyolic really does the trick to fight off that nasty cold.

A teacher once told us that it is a very nice inyon ( dont know how to spell that) to say the kapital shir hamalos mimamakim every time you see an hazalah run by or you hear of a cholah. I personally say this kapital every time I get an email for tehillim- I dont just look and say how sad.

    Lox spread sandwich

    Avocado sandwich

vegetable salad with a dip put into a cup- right before eating mush into salad. I do this and its heaven

As a side point sandwiches taste best when put into a silver foil. ( I know its not the healthiest but it keeps the avocado from becoming brown)

I actually only bought the bina and once came upon a copy of a mishpacha and this story got me. since then i only buy the mishpacha. This is a very sad story. I have a question though, the last part was how she told her sister. This is such a private topic why is she mishing in her sister into her problems??? There are so many therapists out there…. I am getting carried away i know its just a story but I read it and found myself getting angry at Huvi. Did anyone have such reactions too?

Gavre: I am still waiting to hear about this place Lake Dillion. Where is that and do you know any info. I would appreciate it.

Poshita Yid: My opinion is that instead of spending all that money going to concerts go on an outing with the family. The memories are fantastic. One time a year have fun all together.

I went down from around a size 8 to a 4 after my baby was born just from nursing and walking alot every day. I think that it is a tendancy of a person to lose or gain weight fast or slow. for every person something else works so cofeeroomfan dont take all the advice and other peoples stories as a pressure. Youll get there at your own pace. Hatzlacha raba.

And how about those dangerous chemicals for ex st moritz or the other one i forgot the name. I am terrified of these things. MY mother has a friend that her baby crawled into a cabinet while the babysitter didnt see and got the stuff onto him and he needed major grafting and was in the hospital for months. Mommies it is not worth the pain and aggrivation if something cv happens. Keep everything under lock and do the cleaning when the kids arent home.

I think it is very special if those girls do it- i have been at some chasunahs that the kallah doesnt wear makeup- good for them. If in there circles they dont do it then fine. As for me- My husband once asked a chushiva well known dayen on the inyan of makeup, if you are allowed to wear makeup outside or for the husband only. and you know what his psak was???? A lady is MECHUYAV to wear makeup for her husband and if it will make him feel good that you wear makup outside too ( that she looks nice) then she MUST wear makup outside the house too. The streets outside is as dirty as they come and we must look presentable. When i look nice outside my husband feels proud of his wife. There is a very big nesoyan on the streets and it is a ladys achreis to look her best. to forgo makeup on the day of the chasunah is not for me cause who are you supposed to lood good for if not for your chassan for the first time???

feifun please tell us the rest of the story i am soooo curious.

My grandfather was saved with the mitzva of kibud av. my grandfather and his father were standing in line waiting to be told to go right or left. his father was told to go on one side and my grandfather on the other. My greatgrandfather was not feeling so well and my zeidy didnt want to leave his father alone so he ran to his father and the guard shoved him back. This happened a few times and then the guard yelled at him -you want to die then go and let him go to his father. Everyone on the other side nebech died and my grandfather and his father survived. ( his father died a few days before liberation from an infection)

I was a counselor for a number of years in 2 different camps and i havent gotten paid from EITHER one yet. The camp claimed that they were short in money bla bla bla and that they hope to pay by chanuka… whatever the story i didnt get paid so i was sort of relying on the tips ( which by the way i got very very little and i had the hardest bunk)

On the other side of the coin– My mother has k”h a lot of children in camp and she always complains how hard it is to tip so many counselors and rebbis she feels it never ends. I appreciated getting even 7 dollars with a nice note. it makes a difference.

I think this one is really amazing. It comes to show that you just gotta open your eyes and see…

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… All before making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born.

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

    God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… And YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the researches shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

I’m sorry to have edited this fascinating post, but you must understand that there are some concepts and terms that, although there is nothing inherently wrong with them, are not appropriate for a frum website…80

my great grandfathers grandfather made the kitzur and when i tell people in a jest that i have yichus they laugh at me. what makes yichus importand? The greater the person ( the yichus himself)the more big you should feel? And how about the fact that people will NOT do a shidduch for no money if the other side doesnt have enough yichus for them?? Or how about those people who dont work but are in “kollel” because they have yichus? Yichus is a very beautiful thing but i dont think that it should make or break the way a person goes about in life. And also another important thing is that people forget the ikur and go for the tafal. They hold themselves big meyuchasim but dont do something to continue this beautiful chain- to give their “yichus” big nachas in shamayim.

Dont laugh but this article has some truth to it. My mother was always hemmorages after she delivers and they had told her that it has to do with being a redhead. i was terrified before i delivered cause i am also slightly red and b”h everything went fine. I guess that redheads do have some genes that the dark headed ones dont.

I totally sympathize in the pain you are going thru. Hashem should help that you should find your bashert soon. I personally know someone that was also single for quite a while and everyone kept on telling her that shes crazy and that she will stay single… she is to picky… her parents- everybody. I had such rachmanus for her. Lemaiseh she is married today. Its hard. I personally think that it would help a lot if someone would open a hotline something like eitzah just for singles going thru this parsha to help ease the burden a little bit.

I disagree with Jewishfeminist. Lenses sometimes DO disappear. i have had it a couple of times and i would have to rub my eyes hard to get it out. I am also scared to sleep with them after my friends therapist had to have surgery on her eye after sleeping with it and now she is only allowed to wear glasses. ( i have no clue as to what happened to the lens when she was asleep)

I personally know of a girl that went out for some time and all of a sudden when she thought that things were heading up he got engaged. i cannot tell you how broken that kid was. ( she is BH engaged ) but it is extremely hurtful. the mother of the boy claims that she felt “funny” telling the other side no.
