The water should cover the chicken plus another inch or two of water. My crackpot worked very strong on high and very little on low so I put it on high with a lot of water so that there should stay a sauce.

I saute onions in a pot then I put int the chicken to saute along for a bit. I add around 1 T of flour to thicken it up a bit. I throw it into the crackpot with potatoes minced garlic, spices and water. I let it cook for a while. Its heaven, no patchke at all.

cheesecake: for example what type of things can you subsitute it for??? If I am going to make a cake that calls for 1 cup of oil, do I put in 1 cup of applesauce? and also is it the store bought kind that is much thicker or do I use the homemade ones that are much jucier?? This sounds very interesting.

Like my husband likes to say, We are just pashute people and we are not supposed to be the ones to judge if its real or not. There definetly were stories of dibbukim in previous times written down. Lets just have a bit of rachmanus on this poor man whether its real or not.

And my baby never crawled- she sits and pushes herself around. I was nervous because my doctor had told me to get her on her hands and knees and do the motions. I found out that my husband and I both had siblings that did this instead of crawling and they are b”h perfectly ok, brilliant and made beautiful shidduchim:) I personally think that sometimes the dr’s go to much according to the book.

Dogs are beautiful creatures that are nice in other peoples houses. I personally wouldnt touch a dog with a 10 foot pole and I dont either go near it. I would have a panic attack if one doesnt want to go away from my house. Call the proffessionals for it.

I caught one in camp on the sole of my foot. It was SOO painful I couldnt walk. I went to a dr and he tried soaking it and then scraping it off. Plus I used dr. scholls sticky thing that you put on the wart. It really wasnt getting better. I was getting married and was terrified that I wont be able to dance normally. Guess what I came home from the wedding and I it was oozing a bit. Within a week it was gone. I have no clue what made it run away but b”h for that.

Put mouthwash with a Q-tip directly on it. It will numb it so it wont hurt that bad. Brush your teeth frequently.

First of all there was no window involved. They were walking on the street coming home from public school.

Haleluja: It is not even an option to try to talk to them- there language is intolerable and I didnt want a sefer thrown on my head.

Another thing was that i didnt have my cell on me at that moment so calling anyone wouldnt help.

My mother is in the parsha of shidduchim too and I know from her and from lots of others that this is a very normal thing to do. If it is right or not is a totally different story because a picture is so deceiving. I saw plenty of pictures of girls and in real life they are so different. If the boys family is not from your place its understandable that they would want to see a picture before they fly in. If not they should just step into a wedding that your daughter is attending and give a peek at her without her even knowing. real life image is always better.

Ok I will post the first recipe in this thread. I got it from a friend and it was tried by a lot of people and we all loved it!

    Creamed Chicken Soup

2 Containers clear chicken soup ( the size of a pickle container I think its called a two pounder)

    1/2 Cup Coffee Whitner

    1/2 Cup Flour

    Onion soup mix to taste

Mix everything together on a low flame until the flour lumps are gone.

Drop cubed chicken cutlets into the soup and cook for about 15 minutes until its done.

I never tasted such good soup before. Enjoy

well I just heard of a story ( dont know if its true or not) about a heimishe looking guy that came over to a lady and asked her to take a package. she refused. Later that guy got a yeshiva bachur to take it. She was very suspicious and went over to the bachur and told him not to take it cause its a dangerous world. “nuch a mazal” he listened to her and told the security person. They got the guy and guess what it was drugs. You can never be to cautious. ( It was heard on kol mevaser)

oomis i am in total agreement with you. I have a friend that officialy doesnt talk on the phone, only texts. I hate it. And oh by the way i dont either walk with such people on the street. It is so annoying to walk with a person who is holding a conversation with someone else. They talk and then give a sudden stop on the street thinking and me like a golem keeps walking. There is such a thing called kuved habrius. Cell phones can be a very usefull thing if used in a normal fashion.

Elliot1234- I hope you got married before the “everyone has a cell phone” stage. Talking on the phone or texing is a very serious problem when dating. I for one wouldnt even consider a guy that thinks his cell phone is more important than me right now!!

I dont really understand why someone would put the cell phone on vibrate. Right now the person you are dealing with should be a lot more on your mind than the phone call. Put it on silence. If your not gonna answer it anyway whats the point of vibrate — and then it get you curious to know who called and whatever.

I like cooking the meat over a low flame until the sauce that lets off from the meat has finished. Then i turn it over add some spices and water and cook over a low flame for around 11/2 hours. I dice whatever veggies I have in the house and let it cook till soft. Its heaven plus. ( and also very healthy) I personally dont go for soy sauce or any of those sauces.

This topic is so beautiful. A good word goes a long way. When I was in labor (for a Long time) I made it my point to thank the nurses for every tiny thing they did. You wouldnt believe how different they act when they know that you appreciate them. I also find that a warm note goes a lot further than a present.
