We just got a cast iron and we called the company about the seasoning. They said it is seasoned with oil only. We spoke to the OU and they said if it is made here and then all oil in the USA is fine. We called the company back and they said, yes it is made here and not in China. The OU said it fine to use-it doesn’t have to be kashered only Toiveled.

    To make Gefilte Fish:

In a pot put in the fish, onion sliced into 4, a few pieces of garlic, salt, pepper, and little sugar. Pour the water 3/4 of the fish, once it boils but on low to medium heat for an hour and 45 mintutes.

    To make Chulent:

Saute onion and some garlic (a few pieces)-carmelize it.

Once done, take out and put into the crock pot. Then brown the meat with the leftover oil in the pot and put that in. Add in Barley and Beans (I boil the beans twice) and add salt and pepper and water. That’s it!

Sometimes I put in a little honey but not always up to you.

    Good Luck 🙂

For lower back pain try a PT first. My husband tried both and the chiropractor just made him have more pain. So far the PT is helping him.

I was very similar caleefornia, I think I was more excited when my sis got engaged then when I did! I think it is mostly nerves and afraid to take such a big step in life. Looking back I laugh about it. B”H I am very happily married for a few years now 🙂

“Rav Moshe Pohrille. I need not say more.”

You are mistaken. No Shiur there comes to the best Shiurim in the world.

I don’t care if you agree or disagree with me, but the above comment was negative and I was answering to that.

Well, I also know first hand about this Yeshiva and when I see you posted negative comments about the Rebbeim in this Yeshiva especially Rav Pohrille, (who happens to be an extremely choshuv person) I am surprised the Mod’s let your post go through! I know a few very close people who have gone to his shiur and have been to other places as well so I know what his Shiurim are like.

And Yes Derech Chaim accepts many different kinds of Bochurim but they have many Rebbeim who teach on different levels. Rav Pohrille teaches on a very high level so yes I do agree with what Talmud said.

BTW I don’t know if you knew this but R’ Shmuel Birnbaum Zt”l said about Rav Pohrille that he is the “Masmid of America”

Try putting margarine in her hair. Cover her hair for about 5 minutes or longer with a bathing cap and then rinse off. It should help get rid of the nits. (A nit lady gave us this advice when I was younger and kept getting nits).

It is very important to have a Rebbe, mentor, someone that is not a close relative.

Never say anything negative to your parents, siblings etc. about your spouse or her family.

2cents-I know you say that members don’t put on their lights to make a red light-but unfortunately that just happened recently. My husband was driving and the street was backed up with traffic. The light turned green and the cars where slowly moving. The car behind my husband put on his lights and thinking that it was a Hatazaloh member on call my husband pulled over. The car passed my husband and made the green light and then he turned the light off. So my husband ended up missing the light because the guy in back of him decided to take advantage of his lights.

    Try this:

Put the flour in the Bosch/mixer, make a small hole on the side of the flour and add the salt there. Then make a hole in the middle and add the yeast, sugar, and water. Make sure the yeast does not come in contact with the salt!! Also when you braid the challah don’t play around with the dough to much.

Hopefully these tips will help you.

Don’t wait until the water is boiled to put the fish in. Put everything into the pot-then put in on a higher flame to get the water boiling, once the water boils cook it on a medium to low flame for an hour and a half. Make sure the pot is covered.

Soliek it has nothing to do with it being an all womens class. The problem is the actual moves. People will be soon get used to doing these moves that are not fit for a Bas Yisroel. It’s like you hear somone speaking a very vulgar language the first time your are horrified, by the 4th time that you will hear it, it won’t be so bad. Same thing over here-something that is not so Tzniyus in the beginning will soon be ok in the end but it is really Not ok!!

BTW the same thing goes for the Break dancing that men do at weddings as well-it might be cool and fun to do but if you know where that is coming from-We just got used to it so now it is ok. It is Not ok either!!

Yogi, I think you were right in telling that mother that her son is not wearing a helmet. I cannot either understand why parents let their children ride without one. I remember years ago when my mother was watching my younger brothers playing outside. 1 of them was riding a bike, she watched as all of a sudden he fell off his bike, flew in the air and came down head first on his HELMET! It cracked in half, but he was not hurt on his head at all! I cannot imagine what would have been if he was not wearing one.

The Goq-why does it grate you if someone forgot 1 thing and stepped out of line? I don’t agree with you at all on that. I just had that recently I was wating on line with my wagon full for quite some time. I realized that I forgot one thing and asked the person in front of me if she doesn’t mind watching my wagon for a minute and I will be right back. I don’t see anything wrong with that?
