Sam 2 – Nematode worms grow inside the flesh and are kosher. The salmon and carp lice are parasites that grow in the water and attach themselves to the fish for food. They are “Sheretz Hamayim” and would need fins and scales to be kosher! Since they haven’t got them they are osur like all non kosher sea creatures. The salmon louse is easy to detect, it is about 5-10mm long. Half of it is round and the rest is a tail. The carp louse is much smaller about 4mm long, oval, and translucent. It is best to watch an expert checking before attemting oneself.

How about the miracle of the body? How Hashem made each part of the body for a purpose and how we are all different e.g the wonder of sight, the workings of the heart kidneys etc.

How about the miracle of nature – how Hashem made a little seed into an apple tree. Rabbi Miller used to say we should look at colour- Look at all the different greens in trees – the beautifule colours of fruit and veg. Hatzlocho

As someone who has had chemotherapy I would recommend a hair shietel as it is lighter. I do wear a shietel but found it quite difficult during those months when I had absolutely no hair. I found wering a silicone band (Like a thin hair band) amazing because then the wig doid not rest completely on my head. Wishing you a refuoh shlaimo and loads of Patience. It is a difficult time but try and keep positive.

All black cabs are licensed/registered. They are therefore safe to use. Black cabs are very expensive. If you are in a Heimishe neighbourhood it would be worth your while finding out about the local minicabs. – You can also order a car to pick you up at the airport.

I find this topic so upsetting. We should be looking how we can improve, to be zoiche to the Geulah. Rebetzin Braunstein z”L said as Torah is for men so is Tzinnius for ladies. Tzinnius is our lifeline. If it makes you feel good to wear eg tight clothes think how your clothes will be lacking in Oilam Haemes? If a man had one bad thought because of how a lady has dressed do you not realise the consequences?

The book by Rabbi Falk on Tzinnius have all the origins of his Psak. It is not his decisions.

Living in London unfortunately I have been able to get a glimpse at the huge Muslim community. I know they are full of immorality. However the “Orthodox” ladies would not dream of wearing tight or revealing clothes. The public swimming baths have agreed to long sleeve costumes only because the Muslims insisted.

Near the Royal London Hospital there is a huge muslim community. I was waiting for an appointment and walked around a bit. There is a large notice in their shops asking ladies to confirm to the dress code otherwise not to enter their shops. They cover their hair without a problem. I know in their houses is a different story.

Don’t get me wrong I CAN’T STAND THEM. However why do they maintain a standard and we can’t???

Health: I have just joined an amazing organisation here in London. If anyone needs to go to a hospital (patient or visitor) they can ring a central number for a car. The central number sends a text to all the drivers – anyone able to go calls the central no. and they make the necessary arrangements. It is all voluntary and could not be done without phones…..

The Difference Between Rich People and Poor People

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son,

    “How was the trip?”

    “It was great, Dad.”

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.

    “Oh yeah,” said the son.

“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us,

They have friends to protect them.”

    The boy’s father was speechless.

    Then his son added,

“Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Isn’t perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don’t have. Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends! Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective an appreciation.

“Life is too short and friends are too few.”
