Health- yea, there are more moments than most where there is a voice that says “this is too good to be true” and I know that I need to take it slow to really see the reality of it (and it could very well be all good) and to digest it all. And then theres this small nagging voice that says “hmmm..”

but in all honesty I KNOW i need to give iot more time to figure out the “hmmm’s”. I think I know deep down what they are, i have to see if those “hmm’s” are going to bother me or are stupidity..

    all in time…and siyata dishmaya

aries2756- BEST ADVICE I NEEDED TO HEAR!!!

ok, so the situation is like his.

Its not “the @ birth” kind of condition, i think its something that may have developed.

What happen was, a friend of mine is in the medical field (lets call her B) “B” and I were at an event where she met my friend “C” in passing, and noticed some symptoms of a condition that is not always so common, not always always noticed and easily looked at as normal.

For example: a person l’a who has diabetes sometimes gives off a fruity smell …one can think its perfume or what not- when really its a sign of a condition.

Here, I dont think my friend “C” knows that she could possibly have this condition my friend “B’ explained to me, and its treatable with a simple procedure, but its NOT the type to walk up to her and say, listen i noticed XYZ maybe we can go and check it out together…and sending her an email like “whatever happens, you know im there for you” would come off rather strange – and she aint stupid- she’d be like, what? whats goin on?

so, on one hand I want to let her be aware of this condition, and she’ll probably check it out (if she has it im certain she’ll take care of it) and the other I dont want it to dampen our friendship.

    Please help me.

Another name- i totally hear you and i ALWAYS appreciate responces, ESPECIALLY YOURS!!! And I have discussed this with wise guiding and experienced adults. They all told me to continue.

And whatever happens I’ll let you know.

kapusta- the VERY WISE KAPUSTA (as im learning more about the people on YWCR) i ERALLY like the analogy! Thanks for the advice!

am yisrael chai- yes, even for me its fast…but bh now we discussed things over and we’re taking it a it slower…and YOUR 100% right- communication is the key to all good relationships!

    Thanks you guys!!!

OfCourse- THANK GOD THERE R PEOPLE LIKE U IN THIS WORLD!!!

People here are sometimes too idealistic, holy, preachy, ignorant and unrealistic- as much as we know FaceBook isnt the most “acceptable” pasttimes on the YWCR- but it works- for older singles, lonely people, (YENTA PPLE), networking, keeping in touch etc(AS EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD U CAN USE IT FOR GOOD OR BAD)

In Sem there was this amazing teacher- she asked whats the sun?

So half the class said its good- it helps the ground grow so we can have food, it heats the world etc.

The other half said no, its bad- it can get too hot, the sun is dangerous, cancer, uv rays etc.

    Then everyone got confused.

Is the sun good or bad?

    Is fire good or bad?

    (cooking, fires..)

    Is water good or bad?

Is a knife good or bad?

    Is Facebook good or bad?

    The answer is simple:

    Its NOTHING.

Its HOW you use it that determines what it is…

So really, its HOW you use Facebook- you can go and meet the right people, and use it to your advantage…YOU have to KNOW YOURSELF when using ANYTHING in general, if you cant handle it or you feel in doubt- then dont do it.

We all have bechira, and brains- USE EM!!

    You guys crack me up.

Here are some of my anwswers:

    (in order of posts)

bpt- indecisive; i did that, but im going to make it more clear.

    oomis1105- agreed

am yisrael chai- sharp line- LIKE

Another name- definitly what i was thinking.

aries2756- there is no shadchan in the middle, just the friend that set us up; and i DID have a long conversation with her about it yesterday.

popa_bar_abba- I cant believe you knew that!!?!! yes, thats what usually happens (but not because of how fast guys go and the things they say, but I usually call it off for the right reasons etc)

kapusta- very true, and thanks for the “motherly advice” 🙂 I do agree with you on what you said, and to answer your question- 6 IN ONE WK!!

bpt-#1- no, i have been for quite some time now.

#2 – Ages?- both in 20’s. he’s bout 25/26 (he also has been around the block in dating and in life and has repeatedly said, he knows what he wants (in life/wife), he;s not playing games, he’s very serious (bout closing the “deal’))

#3 – Date duration? – VERY LONG, usually nights because thats when were both available- anywhere from 4/5-6/7 hours!!and time DOES fly by…we dont even want to say good bye- and we’ve gone 2 ot of places- NO LOUNGES!

On the other hand- he knows I want more time, and he understands and told me were in no rush (but KNOW he wants to do it soon, but i ALSO know he’s so devoted, compassioante, sincere and caring that he’ll wait however long until i’m ready)

adorable- Trust me, I daven for it ALWAYS!! I did speak to him…

coffee addict- im POSITIVE im not dating middle path..lol

    so heres my problem now-

I like him, and like spending time with him, and i can see a good future- but i’m not all that attrated to him..he’s not ugly or anything.

ALSO, we dont text during the day, if we dont meet up that day we have a LITEREALLY 3 min conversation.

Everything is good, but theres this small nagging feeling inside, like the whole “gut” thing…I’ve spoken to close and wise friends and older guiding adults- they all said to keep going…so I am…

I can understand the whole tense and modesty thing- but in this case the chatan wasnt this greasy shvitzer, shy type of guy- i mean when it came to his friend congratulating him, he was all over the place- dancing etc. it was very strange.

I’m saying he should be staring at her with his eyesballs poppin out, and I understand those who say he doesn’t have to show “public affection” but at least show that you notice she exists!

Even by dancing when the kallah sat in the men section and she was trying to talk to him, he looked away with disintrest, it looked strange, rude and mean.

And no, I have never seen this before @ any wedding wherre the chosson doesnt aknowledge his kallah! I sure wouldn’t want that!!

in reply to: What can we learn from a tragedy like this? #787001
    Legen-dary

There is much to learn, and to take upon and change in ourselves.

All deriving from the fact that the ENTIRE community suffered/is suffering from this terrible terrible tradgedy and loss. The pain we are all feeling is real and is MENT FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL to WAKE up and do teshuva…when something as bad as this happens in a community its taught that being that it wasnt some horrific event harming the entire community but one indiviual who took the “hit” for us r’l- we need to realize it COULD have BEEN us- and this pure pure chile had his precious neshama brutally taken away instead of saomething terrible happening to all of us. It is a sign to do teshuva (obviously taking action, learning from it, awareness) but since we were all pained- we are PART of the tzara- we need to make improvements in ourselves…why it happened? we dont know- we are not here to give answers on why- but its so obvious and clear to see- we NEED to fix ourselves, being better jews, bein adam l’chavero and bein adom lamakom! We should never never ever ever hear of such tzasros- and in the zchus that we all make a change in ourselves for the pure neshama taken away from us- we WILL become a better people and bring the geula- and see our proud Leiby again!!

Imagine the tremendous bizayon the family of the murderer is going through? Whatever he did- his HIS busines and HIS punishment to come, but does HIS family need to be publicied like that? NO. Thats unfair!! I think that its enough to discuss all our hate for this rasha and our sypathies for the Kletzky family- but lets not discuss the convicts family, its really unfair!!

I have been in the same situation- so I basically have 2 groups of close friends “The unfortunate”- shallow/fluffy/ not too much depth in li

fe exeince kind of friends…and then there are my REALLY close

riends who are deep, more intellectual, etc…I would never ever “toss” the friends that I “outgrew” or are not necc on MY level- Friends are VERy important; and learning how to continue that friendship is a challenge @ times; but at the end of the day- SO WORTH IT!!

If you dont like talking to them on the phone; make subtle hints- like you dont havta PICK UP.

And visits: you can tell them your busy…etc..

But its never a smart option to walk out on people you’re not on “the same page” with…those that do pretty much ALWAYS come to regret it..

RedNails- thank you. i hate it when a good thread gets messed up by a heated “fued”

bortezomib- the same holds true for those of us who feeel our strongest beliefs can/ and are allowed to be compramised/ sacraficed by a guy were dating.

There are certain areas you can look over, but things that make you who you are- our personal values and beliefs- should not be compramised over…but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask Daas Torah/Mentor etc before ending a shidduch…LOTS of people have regrets after ending a shidduch that could have very possibly been “the one” because of reasons they didnt take time to think, ask and digest properly- and it could very well be for a dumb reason too.
