    “I don’t like Donald Trump, but…”
    but what?
that he moved the embassy? whooppee doo.
that he sent arms to Israel? hasn’t every president done that since Truman (by the way, why do Jews love Truman so. Didn’t he put an embargo on arms to Israel, when Israel needed them most?)
that he got along with Netanyahu? do heads of states have to love each other?
    that……

i know this will rattle some people. so be it.
when we were first exiled, over 2,000 years ago, we wore, i’m sure, basically middle east clothing, for example, white robes and turbans, as per the climate.
when we arrived in cold europe, we switched to bekkashas, shtreimels etc. to save ourselves from freezing.
here comes the question: how come we were allowed to switch our custom in those years, but are not allowed to switch our custom today? specifically, i refer to when the jews returned to the holy land, the middle east climate would have suggested that we should be able to switch back to non-cold-european type of clothing. why do the rabbis insist that in 120 degree heat, their talmidim still wear heavy black felt hats, bekishes, shtreimels etc?
if we were allowed to change our custom 2,000 years age, why not now???
and i mean this not as a putdown, but just as a serious question.

no, I do not agree with you.
‘besmirch’ is a good word to describe Trump, not his opponents. His nicknames for anyone who looks at him askance is totally disgusting.
the january 6 insurrection, started by him, and continued for 3 long hours with him doing diddly-squat, is Trump’s terrorizing, not his opponents.
every thing you say is just the opposite.

A letter writer to one of the newspapers in N.Y. tried to say that Trump had leadership skills.
Here is a letter (paraphrased, to protect the innocent) that answers back:
Just what leadership skills are you touting as those we need from the former sociopathic president? The ability to find the most corrupt people in every agency and get them to do his bidding? The ability to convince those around him to lie about COVID-19, leading to the unnecessary deaths of more than half a million Americans?
The ability to convince gullible people that he won an election he lost in order to make them march to the U.S. Capitol, erect a gallows on the grounds, break into the building, defecate and urinate on the walls and floors, attack policemen with bear spray and spears and attempt to stop the certification of the newly elected president? The ability to surround himself with people who beg for pardons at the end of his presidency because they know they have committed a plethora of crimes?
Just what is it that the people who adore this man have been smoking for the past six years? I can understand how someone could be fooled into voting for him once, but anyone who wants him to be president again has got something wrong with them — unless they want to live in a dictatorship, in which case they should move to where his pals rule in Vladimir Putin’s Russia or Kim Jong Un’s North Korea (who, by the way, Trump “loves”).

    always ask
true, knowing finances may not be loshon hara, but if you don’t mention trump’s finances (which he conveniently never disclosed) in the same breath, you are being a hypocrite.
by the way, they could only get Al Capone on his finances, halvai they can get trump on that as well – everything else – he is the sneakiest, slyest man on earth – and will get away with it all.

You know, ujm, and I know, and everyone else knows, that these are not trumped up charges against your hero. A leader who watched t.v. for over 3 hours, while there was a violent insurrection going on, and did nothing to stop it, which he could and should have done, is guilty as hell, and belongs behind bars. ‘Payback’ talk is just mafia language.

    from google:
Is John Quincy Adams related to John Adams?
John Quincy Adams, son of John and Abigail Adams, served as the sixth President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. A member of multiple political parties over the years, he also served as a diplomat, a Senator, and a member of the House of Representatives.
Does that answer your question? As for her bank/stocks etc. – loshan horah and none of our business

To all Trump lovers. Google “List of nicknames used by Donald Trump”.
Do you think it’s proper for us Jews to imitate him with nickname calling, e.g. one fella here called Adam Schiff “shifty schiff?
When I called Trump a demagogue, liar, lecher, con-artist and sore loser – those are not nicknames, those are truths !
Can’t wait for the responses . lol.

If he is a male, why not just marry him, and you could introduce him as “my husband” . I see it all the time on t.v. nowadays. Moshiach better comes soon.

“BLM RIOTS VS. JAN. 6 PROTEST”
first of all, It was not a ‘protest’ , it was an insurrection.
second, blm burned down mostly their own neighborhoods.
Jan 6 tried to overthrow our wonderful democratic government.
    Huge difference between the two.
One we can, and do, recover from, Second, once new government installed, with trump as the Messiah in charge, no turning back – we wind up like venezuela and all other tyrannies.

ujm – to answer your question: it is far worse to try to overthrow the govt.
as for your ‘small number of agitators’, you are obviously one of those who never watched the actual horrific insurrection – over 3 hours, while your president watched, snacked, and did nothing (but probably kvelled ( I take that back, he DID kvell)

Some of these posts are hilarious – although this is not a time for frivolity.
But the main question is – why allow an 18 year old to buy an assault rifle, only needed by an army.
And if you do sell it, at least force them to notify the FBI what you’ve done. Then let them handle it.
Still best, let some rebbes and gabboim carry concealed weapons until they ban AK-47’s, maybe, maybe in our lifetime.

All I can say: B. H. – Boruch Hashem that we have Biden and Harris – B. H.
Under Trump we would have unmasked, non-social distancing mass rallies, with the fool spewing forth narishkeit after narishkeit, while an additional 1,000,000 Americans would die of covid. I personally hold the edited responsible for at least 700,000 deaths – for his lack of leadership at that time, having naive people looking up at him with such adoration, only to die alone later while he kept mouthing off at rally after rally (who the heck holds rallies after you already are the president?)
    B. H.

I would like to reply to some of you. Some of you write such long megillas – you sure you’re not writing a thesis for a Phd? no one has time or patience to read – those I ignore.

I was not writing necessarily for frum people – just Jews who do have tatoos etc. Don’t they deserve a say here? What I was saying is that tatooed Jews nowadays dont get stoned or lashed for that. But when it comes to involving another Jew, such as a fetus, yes we should speak up, because that IS rechitza.
AviraDeArah – you make excellent points, everyone should read them.
As for the fellow who thinks I support the party that condones all this, I do not. What I do not support is a demagogue, con-artist, liar, lecher and sore loser by the name of trump.
Let the Republicans pick a new leader, and I will join immediately.
One final word – once you have a baby inside you, stop the nonsense that it’s your body exclusively. It is not – a living being in now also involved.
