Alot of High School Graduates go onto College and earn Degrees.

Many of the higher paying non-sales jobs will not let you in the door without the degree

Post-2008, going to Cardozo law school is pretty much the same as taking out a mortgage on a house and then burning it. Except that the student debt is not dischargeable in bankruptcy.

That is why I dont recommend anyone going to YU or Stern, nothing to do with Hasghfa, Sorely to do with cost

Yeshiva university is a good degree (I did not go there, too expensive)

Cardozo Law school is good too.

FYI you dont need a college degree to get into Law School, Its the only professional school you dont.

A GED is not exactly the same as a regular High School Diploma. Its close but a bit less

And a GED is only a High School Diploma equivilancy, certainly not the same as a College Degree. No matter what anyone says there is no quick way to get a college degree, they make you earn it

If you look at the documents at the time not only was secular studies taught, there were serious financial issues at Volozhin and there was a serious issue of succession.

The yeshiva reopened a few years later

The Volozhin closing is a myth. They Taught secular subjects there before the closing, the documents prove that.

Its actually fairly simple to learn Spanish, Its alot easier than Hebrew.

The hardest part is remembering the Male and Female tenses of words which english does not have (But Hebrew does) Once you get that is just a matter of memorizing the words, and Spanish unlike Hebrew the words have a direct translation into english. Hebrew has far fewer words so you have to figure out what the word really means by how the person used it.

A simple example the words Kador in Hebrew can mean a Ball, Pills or Drugs, but you have to figure that out

Did you go to a more modern school or more Charedi?

The more modern schools do teach Spanish, Spanish is probably the most useful of all especially in the NYC area. Its not as unpleaant as Spanish teachers in High school teach it.

And BTW there is an opinion that things the knowledge the Greeks and Romans are best known like Math, Science, Philosophy etc were actually jewish disiciplns and they stole it from us and called it their own.

    Depends on the school

For the record, Most education today does NOT teach Latin and Greek classics, other than the one time I read Antigone, Ive never read a Greek or Latin Classic. And that includes University (I did read English Classics like Shakespeare and Dickens and Yiddish Classics like Sholem Alechem and I.B. Singer)

The Gemrah is Sukkoth (I think) discusses the value of PI, In Gitten the Gemorah discusses Nero.

If the Gemorah can discuss Math and History, It is not “uneeded”

I have a friend who was in the US Army and was not religous at the time

He was in Southern France and the local Chabad Rabbi went on the base and asked the Officer if there were any jews on the base.

My Friend figured it was a great way to get better food than the army and went for Shabbos at the Chabad Rabbi. That small step made him more appreciate of the religous and became frum himself and married a frum woman and they have all their kids in Yeshiva

But if you must, the chareidim would love to send lev l’achim to visit and be mekarev all the wounded soldiers.

Chabad does things Like sending and delivering Latkes to soliders in dangerous areas. Even Chilonim remember things like that and appreciate it.

There are plenty of things that are Mitzvot that could be done and are not Bittul Torah if they are done and the soldiers (and Maybe the general populance) would appreciate them.

If you want to Makarov people, the first step is getting them to know and like you.

Eretz Yisroel belongs to all of us

Exactly and when you live with everybody you have to accept the laws of the land, whatever they are. If you dont like the laws you can either have them changed , live somewhere else or try to live with those laws.

I suspect they will try to live within those laws and make a deal. There are plenty of things they could do that would be acceptable, How about running the Kosher Kitchen and feeding the troops

He deals with Shabbos issues ‘al pi halacha’

Something tells me that you are trying to point out that he does not have a problem with stores that are open on Shabboss..

An Ice Cream Store like Baskin Robbins owned by Asians is allowed to be open on Shabbos, It does not need a Mashgiach Timidi.

These are stores owned by GOYIM, not owned by jews.

The Vaad of Queens doesnt hechsher certain places like those open on Shabbos (Owned by Goyim, but no meat sales Like an Ice Cream Store) so Rav Shecter does the hechsher for those places

In the US minority parties get seats on committies and things like that and have some influence there. In a parliment the only power they have is the speak in the parliment how evil the ruling party is.

Lapid is in, Bennett not so sure, It turns out the Bennett and SARA Netanyahu dont like each other and have a personal feud of some sort

Lapid does not want to be with the leftists, he wants to be with Bibi.

Tolerence can mean different things to different people.

It is more tolerant and understandind to invite someone to your house for shabbos than throwing a stone a them. Its also more tolerant and understanding rather than tell someone I am learning and you pay for it, instead tell them I want to come to your house and learn with you (Or at least a Chavrusa over the phone)

In a parlimetary system, parties in the opposition are powerless to do anything except trying to bring down the government with a no-confidence motion.

It isnt like the US where the minority party has some power, In Israel they have none

According to the Jerusalem Post the first person Bibi called was Lapid.

It depends what Yesh Atids #1 issue is going to be, Will it be the draft / Payments to Yeshivas or will it be the settlements.

Which one are they willing to compromise on, that will decide if they join the government and who will be the other party

He is not going to drop Bayit Hayudi. They are natural allies and are fairly close politically and ideolically.

he cannot have Shas/UTJ and Yesh Aitd in a coalition, Yesh Atid #1 issue seems to be the draft.

Nobody else can form a coalition as the #2 party is Yesh Atid, There isnt enough votes to get

Bibi is a polititian. Only the first 61 seats matter, those parties are in the strongest postion, everyone else gets scraps

He will play Shas/UTJ vs Yesh Atid off each other who will make the most concessions and be amicable to the majority of Likud voters.

No way to tell if results are good or bad for Charedi Parties

    Depends who Bibi Coalitions with

He could go Likud-Habyit Hayudi-Shas-UTJ for about 61 seats , Shas wont got without UTJ

    Or he could go

    Likud-Habit Hayudi-Yesh Atid for about 62 seats

I was talking about the recipient. I dont know Rav Dovid’s opinion on the matter , only Rav Tendler.

A Son-in-Law can follow a father in Law, Rav Menachem Scheerson was the Son-In-Law of Rav Yitzchok Schnnerson

And The Steipler followed his Brother-in-Law the Chazon Ish. So it is possible for Shvers to follow.
