Get the cheapest one!
I didn’t know that a special talant or feature is needed to shower a wife with fancy cloth and jewerly.
Trophy Husbands? The law of supply and demand apply here.
Doubt it, would be in the news by now.
However, if anyone has details, please step up to the microphone.October 18, 2011 1:25 am at 1:25 am in reply to: I (finally) found something new york city dwellers DON'T have…. #818273
There is much more than that missing in NY.
Where did they make that statement?
When I was in Yeshivah, a Lubab asked me what we have against Lubavitch. I had nothing to answer him.
Looks like a great organization. Keep it up!
Don’t worry, Poppa will always find something to complain about!
All I can say is that some people here really have a sense of humor!October 17, 2011 7:18 pm at 7:18 pm in reply to: What to do to the chazzan who takes too long for hallel #818591
What bunch of mean people!
Politley tell him to accelerate.

Sounds good. However what happens if I need to enter a site, which is blocked. Does guard your eyes have customer service. How fas is their response time?
I guess the same way one would make potato chips.
That’s why I offered my unsolicited advice. Don’t scratch it! Don’t do what most people do!
Sure, what’s your email address so that the paypal accounts can start sending you the money.
I think that we will need to create an escrow account so that we know you don’t takeoff with the money.October 17, 2011 5:14 pm at 5:14 pm in reply to: What to do to the chazzan who takes too long for hallel #818579
Nothing. Stand like a mentch your in a shull. Its a house of prayer!
Find yourself a minyan that davens with your desired speed.
Toi, I will admit that I have no inside info on lubavitch. However some of the people from Lubavitch I met, seemed like nice people.
I am against bashing an entire community. Each community has its faults.
Popa, in the other hand, girls would strive to become real trophys!
Best thing is to be open.
It solves most problems. Unless your friend is a little unreasonable.
I don’t know about you, but Lipa is starting to bore me.
I don’t get so excited with him.
Still waiting for a concert with MBD and avrom fried
I know many that said it for forty days (or more..) and were not helped.
Again, do your research.
I am aware of two cases, in which started to be minor cases, however the therapists blew it. Causing the problem to become much worse.
Don’t know how you can bash an entire community like that.
Only cuz your not a lubob and were not born into a lubob family doesn’t give you the slightest right to mock them.
Just go on and live your life!
Make your own!
What do you consider a trophy wife?
Looks or character?
A wife that has a nice outside. Or someone that will be a great wife/Mother.
Not that there is something wrong with beauty. Chazal didn’t have a problem with it. Only that I don’t think external beauty is what makes a women a trophy wife.
I would suggest thaat whatever your desicion is, try it out for two months.
It might look like its for you, and end up being a disaster.
By trying it out for a few months you will get the feel and see if its for you.October 17, 2011 9:48 am at 9:48 am in reply to: Friends with the name Abba and calling your father by that title #817819
I have heard that there is a name, Momme’le. So what about her children, do they call her Mommy?October 17, 2011 9:47 am at 9:47 am in reply to: Friends with the name Abba and calling your father by that title #817818
what does it matter if you have a friend called Abba?
Since your Fathers name is not Abba.
The question the Doc asked is an interesting one.
I would say if someones Father has Abba as a name. He should not call him Abba.
Which album has the ah ah ah song?
Why bother? Just let it itch its way through. Before you know it it will be gone. Just don’t scratch the bite.
Why not question yourself, what should you be NOW?
You cannot really predict the future, although you can do hishdadlus and work on reaching your goal. However the time is now!
According to your logic I am a MO?!
No, I don’t think so. Actually I know so. I grew up in a MO neighborhood. There is a foundamental difference.
Orthodox people make sure not to change their tradition. Working is not about tradition. Its all those ‘small’ things together that we hold on to.
MO doesn’t care about keeping a straight heritage.
This is my personal observation.
I don’t know if you were just mocking the chovos halvovos or just trying to be funny.
However the chovos halvovos was a Rishon. A bit of respect!
Window shopping is muttar.
One thing for sure. We all don’t know what the real truth is. We can just make guesses.
DSK admitted without shame that he actually ‘did’ something. Only that it was consentual. Yuck!
Yet I don’t think he should be prosecuted based on the plaintiffs own words.
Wow, you just lost lots of money.
Popa looks quiet candid in this thread.October 17, 2011 8:43 am at 8:43 am in reply to: Are you required to Pay employees for Chol Hamoed? #817742
I am sure that the company your friend works is closed on Xmas. Does the boss pay for Xmas and other non Jewish holidays?
Of course tzadikim are only Human beings, and can make mistakes. Even Moshe Rabeinu erred.
However if someone knows it, it is the gedolim.
Doctors also make mistakes, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t consult with a doctor.
The Mordche uses the word Mitzvah for shnayim mikrah.
So yes, it is a chiyuv. As per the reshonim and poskim.
It is a mitzvah, as per the Mordche.
And no, its not some minhag which was created by the shulchan aruch, has a mekor in gemarah and in midrash as well.
Lesschumras, chareidim and yeshivisha don’t label themselves. They just go about their daily life and make sure to hold on to their heritage.
Sam, are you saying that the only difference between MO and original Orthodox is Learning vs working/studying science?
There are plenty of people studying science and many more that work yet they are considered Orthodox.
I think that there is a bigger difference between MO and Orthodox.
No, that’s not what I said or was trying to imply.
only that the SA calls it a chiyuv, the SA didn’t ‘create’ the chiyuv. It goes back all the way to the gemara.
FYI the reshonim use the word chiyuv as well as MITZVAH.
Don’t know where you live but in most circles people don’t teach their children to respect the words of our gedolim.
There might be only a handful of communitys in which people strictly follow the advice and guidence of a gadol or rabbi.October 16, 2011 3:01 pm at 3:01 pm in reply to: Why I can't I just walk around with a shaved head? #818814
your telling me that out side of BP women walk around with shaved heads?
Do you live in India?
Not sure why you jump to the conclusion that people here think of Orthodox as yeshiva life.
Its between MO and plain original O.
Send the mod a box of chocolates.
Last year I made sure to notify my customers that we will be closed.
However one customer contacted me with a very large order, I made the quick calculation, that should refuse to ship the order, he would never use our company again.
So I shipped the order. Not only did the customer return the entire order, he started using our competitor.
I learnt the hard way, now we are strictly closed!
Most of them are lost for ever due to intermarriage.
It goes against tamim yihya I’m hashem.
