thank u smartcookie finally someone who understands…all the other people i told were also shocked that she could have asked…my other friend working on the shower was gonna go behind this friends back and tell my fiance no to do it, but she didnt want to cause anymore drama. so basically it is what it is and i know ill get over it, i guess i just wanted to vent to my cr friends, i am shocked that popa didnt comment lol 🙂

i feel as though she went behind my back because….she asked him for money for my shower, i think that is way out of line. i just think its inappropriate and its not the first time, he mentioned once that she asked him to buy something for us. i feel like she is taking advantage of my fiance because he is such a good person and he will always give, hed give the shirt off his back but that doesnt give her a right to ask for it. i feel like she went to far by asking him for money to buy me a present that I DO NOT WANT…wait it gets better….I cant even return it now, wooohooo so im left with a $500 appliance that i dont want, ebay anyone!?!? im just so frustrated with her. shes a really good girl and has good intentions and she worked so hard on my shower and i am so appreciative but ahhhhhhhhhhhh i just cant deal with it anymore i am going to loose my mind!! i feel like if i say anything to her, she will think i am unappreciative. i spoke to my fiance and he said he gave her money because he wants to make me happy, which is really super sweet but i felt like she used him and it just bothers me to no end and on top of that my friends are all fighting with each other over my shower and wedding stuff…so basically the happiest time of my life i am beyond overwhelmed, stressed and sad. i did get a really awesome massage the other day but that was only temporary relaxation…

honestly im embarrassed for ur daughter. i paid for half my seminary in israel, and in the beginning i didnt like it, because change is hard on everyone, but i stuck it out and ended up LOVING it. if i wouldve made my parents take out a second mortgage to get me into seminary and then leave not even a quarters way thru id be to embarrassed to face them. the yomim tovim are just over, now is when seminary just begins, everyone is homesick in the beginning, its hard to go to strangers for every shabbos and yuntif meal but thats part of the experience. i went to sem knowing NO ONE and thats crazy cause im from flatbush but u know what i came out learning so much and made some really long lasting friendships!!!

fortune had a sale a few weeks before yuntif, i went in there not knowing anything came out with 3 long sheitals my color, which is not easy to find (which is somewhere between light brown/dark blonde) all human hair, i got them cut and styled and bought 2 sheital boxes and 3 heads and other accessories and spent about $2000 total and i am very happy. the wigs alone where $1575, the cuts were $100 each so $300 total and the accessories were about $200, who knew a 18″ sheital box is $75!?!?!

anyways a random lady told me at a bar mitzva a few weeks ago that its better to buy a cheaper wig in the beginning until you get a feel for the cut and style you want….if you spend $4000 on a wig and cut bangs…its not growing back if u realize u look horrible in bangs or wtvr the case maybe….basically its all about maintenance anyways, treat ur shaitel well and itll look good, u dont have to spend ur lifes savings to look good, but perhaps thats for another thread…

we are located in park slope brooklyn, we called machcone lparnasa, touro and agudah to find someone….so if ur interested call one of those places (the first or last would make most sense if ur not a student at touro) and we would love to set up an interview…the position is best suited for a CPA major/accounting student…

it happens to be, i almost always wore heels on dates unless we were doing something super casual like six flags and then id wear flip flops or sneakers….maybe she wore flats cause her feet hurt or she didnt know if u guys would be taking a walk on the board walk or wtvr….i think if u break it off for that alone ur not ready to be dating because that is extremely petty and u prob dont deserve her, thats just my humble opinion….i mean if she wore something not tznius or she was dirty or smelled funny that i could understand, but flats come on….u knew she was 5’3 when u agreed to go out with her, dont be foolish…

we both had our struggles with dating….i dated only a few guys but some of them were long term, which is quite stressful. he dated many girls but many were only one time dates.

by saying its worth the wait i meant that it was worth going thru that dating experience learning and growing and getting to know myself and what i wanted and becoming a better person in turn. if i would have married the first or second guy idk where i would be?? prob wouldnt have graduated college, prob wouldnt have gotten as far in my career as i have or even taken the cpa exam….my point is that its normal to be nervous when dating but dont get discouraged or hung up if a date doesnt go well or doesnt live up to ur expectations….not everyone marries the first guy (im not saying to play the field but sometimes its not a bad thing to see what else is out there….).

u just gotta give it ur all and hashem will take care of the rest!!!

    hatzlacha 🙂

i know this may seem hard to believe, but i was always a little shy/reserved on a first date because i didnt wanna scare them with my full personality!!! and some dates would say no bec of it perhaps but i never got a no when i said was interested in the guy.

If your still so panicky and anxious perhaps ur not ready to date yet and u should take a little break and get to know urself, who u are and who u want to be and what ur looking for in a spouse.

    best of luck

ps. im only 22 but my fiance is 28 and we both agree it was definitely worth the wait…:)))
