☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant
Tearing open the bag seems similar to the case of tearing open an envelope to get to a letter, which is a machlokes acharonim.
What type of tag is being referred to? Is it possible the two rabbonim were referring to different types? The sewn on type is a bigger problem than one attached with a single nylon (plastic) thread.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAnd where are the very funny ones from?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantMost yeshivos are run by roshei yeshivah who fall into that category.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWhat should a Gabbai do when someone goes against the minhag hamakom?
Shoot him.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIt lives on to a large degree through his talmidim v’talmidei talmidov vch’, who have yeshivos for younger bochurim.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSo you’re saying the CC way is better because there is a more consistent long term approach, which is a fair point.
There are many talmidim who do keep a strong kesher to their rebbeim from younger b”m years, but I suppose not to the same degree as CC talmidim.
I was simply observing that BMG is a melting pot, and it’s not really relevant to compare its “hashkafos” to CC’s.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI agree with the plumber. BMG is for older bochurim, whose hashkafos were already established in Telz, Chaim Berlin, Riverdale, Fallsburg, etc. and possibly further developed in Eretz Yisroel.
Chofetz Chaim is a self contained system, from Mesivta through kollel.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThe first capture shows “member”.
So the correct answer, according to the Wayback Machine, is D).
More specifically, as of this writing, between ~19-26 months.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI wonder why they would object to a husband taking his wife to beis din, on your reading.
They wouldn’t, they’re just saying that that’s not what be is din would do.
I didn’t think you meant it l’maaseh; that post was directed elsewhere.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThe Raavad does not seem to understand the Rambam to be referring to wife beating.
Someone who thinks it does, and holds like that, should not get married.
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant?????? ???
??) ???? ?????? ?’ ???? ????????? ?????? ??) ????? ???? ?????? ??????? ??? ??
Also :????? ??”? and I’m sure other sources.
We are supposed to hate some people.
He’s not trolling. He’s unfortunately misguided and thinks that Yiddishkeit needs to conform to his views, not the other way around. It’s very sad.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIf she buys chocolate chip cookies with her father’s credit card, is she a CCCCC girl?
What if someone adds her as a recipient to an email about buying chocolate chip cookies with a credit card?
And let’s say her father is a rebbe in Chofetz Chaim and someone adds her as a recipient to an email about buying chocolate chip cookies with a credit card?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI think the pashtus is that it means beis din. Rambam writes:
??? ??? ????? ???? ???? ????? ????? ????? ?????? ??????? ??? ?????? ?? ?????. ???? ?? ??? ?? ????? ????? ????? ????
If he imposes it, why is there a tayna back and forth, and why is there a dayan involved?
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participantyou said you never heard this before, but you want to know why many girls have this opinion?
Excellent diyuk. Troll?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantLakewood is the be all end all and a boy from somewhere else just wont cut it.
That’s true, but the OP wanted to know why.
It could just be this girl just wants to marry someone who’s out of the box.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantDon’t you wish the bread in Costco was kosher?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOkay, I admit it. I am Health. I’m surprised it took so long for anyone to realize, since my posting style on both accounts is precisely the same.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWhat kind of agenda do you think Joseph has?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOctober 28, 2015 11:53 am at 11:53 am in reply to: Lose weight fast! Read: Some gross stuff happening behind closed doors of… #1110810☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIt gives a rich crimson hue to pizza sauce.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI figured it must have been changed at least as far back as the last time he had posted, but my memory said it was a good deal longer then that.
Now you say well over a year ago, and you have proof? I would love to see that, so that we can finally resolve this ridiculously important issue. 🙂
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAt this point the conversation is moot. One Liner has testified first-hand that he personally saw a copy of the issue under discussion.
Yes, and calling the reliability of an anonymous (and probably joking) internet commentator into question is irrelevant, since it’s ad hominum, and doesn’t speak to his point.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWolf,
It’s beside the point if they make claims which can be objectively verified. Have they done so? Which claims did they make which prove (or strongly indicate) that this didn’t exist? (FTR, I have no opinion on whether it did or didn’t.)
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWhatcha talkin ’bout Mr. Joseph?
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/time-to-say-good-shabbos#post-586001
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIf you’re questioning the reliability of something being reported, challenging the credibility of the reporter is very much on point.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAny theories why this is so?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantReally, DaasYochid? Offended?
No, not really.
I’d actually like to hear you expand on your comment.
I’m just making fun of how some people seem to think it’s a mitzvah to get offended by naarishkeit (nothing to do with the OP).
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI get very offended when people say Good Shabbos to me. I’m pretty sure they mean well, but I still get offended.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantMaybe we need to LOVE the yishmailim instead of constantly hating on them.
Maybe we need to work on our ahavas Yisroel.
Our best prayers got us nowhere so far.
Why do you assume that we’ve offered our best prayers, and worse, why do you assume that the prayers we’ve offered haven’t prevented innumerable additional tragedies, r”l?
Maybe we need a change in attitude.
Maskim…
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI doubt it (especially considering that it’s not halachically recommended), but that would anyhow be the bracelet, not the ring.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThere was always a minhag to give gifts. It makes sense for the gifts to be things which are currently desirable.
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participanta handful of don’t
They were institutionalized.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantInstead of questioning my objectivity (which goes both ways), explain how I could possibly be wrong.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantYour rant notwithstanding, it’s not naarishkeit.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIt might be unaffordable, but that doesn’t make it naarishkeit.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantPopa, if he’ll pay less than in the big stores, by what standard do you think he will be overpaying?
Syag, if it’s for social reasons, it’s naarishkeit. If it’s to allow the young man to learn, or allow them to get an education so that they can later support themselves, it’s not naarishkeit.

☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantChabad is inherently not modern, but unfortunately sometimes kiruv works both ways…
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI rarely say tachanun.
Why, how often is yom haatzmaut?
October 26, 2015 5:53 pm at 5:53 pm in reply to: Processed meats can cause cancer, experts say #1110862☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWait long enough and they’ll come out and say it doesn’t. It’s happened before and likely will happen again.
Good point. Pass me a cigarette, please.
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI was referring to the adoption of a national anthem, regardless of the particular lyrics.
Hertzl envisioned it, I don’t know why you would imagine that the Arabs didn’t.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI tried to point out that Zionism is a love of Eretz Yisrael and it’s inseparable complement, it’s People, who are bound to the Torah.
That’s one meaning. Sometimes, though, it refers to the political movement, which is what the vast majority of gedolim were/are against.
You are wrong, and in fact offensive, when you imply that those against the political movement chas v’shalom denigrate Eretz Yisroel.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThanks for looking that up.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantYou sure, 29? I checked his profile, and until today, the last time he posted was over two months ago…
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI don’t know what you wrote or meant, but I can assure you that I was kidding around, and I guess the mod(s) realized.
I can’t swear that it’s literally years, but it seems to me that his sub is at least quite a few months old.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantROB: So they chose a national anthem with no plans towards a state?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSam, this may be one of those things which is inherently masculine.
