according to me ur theory makes no sense. Im a 9 1/2 shoe and ring 5 1/2. my fingers are the only small thing about me. Im not fat but a 5 1/2 ring size is considered below average and my height and shoe size is above average.

im gonna give it a few weeks and reread it. i bawled the entire time. healing in a kind of way. The book was pretty on the mark the whole time but in the end i found it kind of hard to believe that she was able to be so open with her therapist right away. what do u think?

the book was very accurate actually. not gonna say my history here but i was totally able to relate. ive read some bad jewish books like smile E. face said. that makes u think the whole world is crazy. but the book makes it seem so realistic. totally read it

woahh.. isnt this yeshiva world? learning torah is number one priority in life! so obviously somone who wants to learn full time is first class! there is no reason y a boy who is dating shudnt be still in learning at least part time. kollel isnt for everyone but it is defiantly number and if a girl cant handle that. she is a lower level.

“The only thing you NEED in a husband is a guy that is emotionally healthy, has good middos, has yiras shamayim, is not controlling, and has a set time to learn every day.

There are many things you may WANT but it is up to Hashem whether you’ll get them or not.”

taom- i would like to clarify -im saying i need/want/respect a full time learner and this one “shadchan” keeps sending me boys in college who technically have a set half hour to learn..

another point- when i stopped watching i was able to see the world in such a different light. i was able to grasp many more torah concepts it was amazing. i was able to be in reality and delt with my problems instead of trying to escape .

wow streekgeek couoldnt have said it better myself.. after school thats all i did..watch my favorite shows back to back and even somtimes in the morning before i got up.. i have 2 tvs in my house.

RisingSun613- u can do it! no more thats it! (thats what i did) u can give urself some leeway if your gonna crash and watch something clean that u saw already.. that way u wont feel like u failed but u didnt get back into it at the same time. this is a huge step and not an easy one kol hakavod hashem shud give you the strength and siyata dishmaya to let go of it and be metaher yourself. figure out why you watch tv- when your bored sad angry? get to the root of the problem and change that habit to somehting positive.

u can do what sem613 said and put deceased in the margin.. or u can leave it blank if you feel really uncomfortable and theyll get the hint and ask what thats about themselves.

fkelly– ur teacher didnt mean not to keep those things- no denim or 4inches.. girls have to be taught what is really halacha and what are sensitivities than they can choose for themleves what they want. halacha says the entire knee must be covered in all posotions so the rabanim said only a skirt that is 4 inches below the knee can do that (which is true). denim is no halacha but it does say bchukosehem lo telechu- dont follw in their ways- goyim. which all of the in style ppl can fall into that issur. why does everyone get stuck on the little details. hashem wants whats best for us why do we think we know better and try to get away with the most we could and act like goyim

sounds like you went off the derech because ur angry at your mother. did you work that out or are you still angry at her? because if your not frum and still angry that sort of defeats your whole rebellion unless you did it to make her angry…

exactly… i find it interesting how the gedolim could be so split. i guess its shivim panim latorah but im used to the split being bet the torah world and the “jewish” world not within our gedolim themselves.
